Second Presidential Debate, my take

The debate? Who the hell cares. I didn't watch it. The debates are unimportant. All they show is who is the best debator. We are not electing the Debator in Chief. The clips I saw showed John Kerry lying and trying to come off as a moderate when he's really an anti-death penalty, radical abortion supporting (he voted against partial birth), anti-military, maggot infested Yale version of a hippie. And yes, he is a great actor. He sure knows how to act like a moderate.

I have only seen one post on the debate, no time right now to get the blogosphere reaction. Let me just plug the one post I have seen. Professor Chaos introduces a first to the blogosphere: crackblogging. Drunkblogging is just so last year, and liveblogging? Fahget about it!

Go check out the post: Crackblogging the Debate

Much more important news than last night's non-event is that the Afhanistan elections are on and the Conservatives have won again in Australia. Way to go!

I'm going to spend the rest of the day with my family. I suggest you do the same.

2 Since Howard won, does Tim Blair become Secretary of I'm Kicking ALL Your Asses? Or does Steyn get the job to beat them all them underKerrys to a bloody pulp?

4 This is just escapism by mentioning that the debates are unimportant. This was the same attitude of the Fox news people too.Just because he was poor last week in the first debate doesn't mean that the debates are a waste.Actually I felt sorry for him frankly speaking!!! Anyway it was much better watching the debate that some hollywood crap which is now running.

5 "Jawas on crack": Holy Schnieke. Your link gave me like 100+ hits; can I assume your readership is something other than crackheads? Mention crack, buttsex, or wonkette (ok, same thing) and you get hits. Discuss policy and you get squat. I'll take the hits, but damn.

6 These debates are soooo pointless... it's a bit like the Prime Ministers Question Time we have here in the UK. Basically, you look through all the million and one decisions a government has made over the last 4 years and pick the ones that have proved wrong and hammer the point home. Keeping in context here, what would Kerry have done post 9/11??? Really... what would HE have done? There is no way of telling and any answer he gives is a lie. Until he (or anyone one of us) is faced with being in sole charge of a country with the power and size of the USA and something like that happens, there is NO WAY of knowing. In all of our daily lives, shit happens and we are in charge of that department, and we wish that particular shit hadn't happened on our shift... the President is ultimately in charge of ALL departments on ALL shifts. It's a hiding to nothing as one party is empowered with a retrospective analysis (and can thus make up their "policy" to suit) and the other did what their policy said to do at the time.

7 Since the debate is pointless, does that mean what was said in the debate is also pointless? If Kerry lied in the debate, it's unimportant in your books, right?

8 If any of this were true I would be far more excited about voting for Kerry than I actually am.
