is reporting another eruption happening during a USGS press conference. Below is a real time image of the volcano. Check for updated images by clicking 'refresh' or 'reload' on your browser. 12:24 CDT: I'm no expert, but that looks pretty big to me! 1:05 CDT: This was just a burp, as they say. But the eggheads are predicting a bigger one "within hours or days-- not weeks".

Is this just another burp or we going to be waiting out the real big one?
I have to find an easier way to email you.

Listening to the speaker live on that feed now - says this is not the one they expected - it's not the blow from the magma. So it's another burp. But cool....it doesn't change the hazards right now but who knows when it will??? just what we need more tragedy. The magma is moving up, it's either going to come up or stop. He says there will be more steam and ash erupting for awhile or several times before the big one comes.
It's not over; its'part of the process. Whether the magma happens or not, only time will tell.

Yeah, it didn't look like much more than ash and steam from the feed -- when the big one goes again, you'll probably see as much horizontal action as vertical.

Too bad Jack can't be trusted to keep his hate-spewing politics out of a completely apolitical blog entry.

Interesting volcano here. I have seen that inside the now wider crater, there is LIQUID water flooring the thing. More steam venting to come thinks I!!

It is constantly changing...constant releasing... constant earthquakes..not one event ... many events continually.. constantly changing minute by minute and it would be terrible to miss it. USGS says it's not an exact science but they've already got a list of things for people to have on their person. This live feed is great, Rusty - not the one from Fox but the Channel 8 live feed. Cool
There's a lot of water..but once CO2 is more, the closer the magma is going to get.
