Deputy Baghdad Police Chief Assassinated

It seems like a daily posting concering an Iraqi official, National Guardsman or police officer being assassinated in Iraq. Unfortunately today is no exception.

BAGHDAD, Iraq - The deputy police chief of Baghdad and his son, also a police officer, were assassinated Monday, an interior ministry official said.

Brig. Amer Ali Nayef and his son, Lt. Khalid Amer, were gunned down in Baghdad's south Dora district while traveling in a car on their way to work, said a spokesman for the ministry, Capt. Ahmed Ismail.

I'm not sure how old his son was that was killed too by terrorists. I can only hope he was either young enough not to know what was going on or old enough to have lived a full life, if there is such a thing.

1 You forgot about the two Lebonese drivers that were abducted and are on video Lots of other stuff, too. Is it easier just to copy and paste than to actually write? Cindy

2 I didn't forget about the Lebonese drivers Cindy and no it's not necessarily easier to copy and paste than write. I do however try to adhere to some journalistic standards and these standards require sources. Since I'm not located in the Middle East my sources primarily consist of the press. I do not feel like posting one line rumors that are not backed with a credible source. Just like every other blogger or writer, you only cover what you feel is newsworthy. I felt the Deputy Police Chief was newsworthy over the Lebonese drivers. On a similar note, since you seem to like to nitpick every single post I've written, why don't you just write your own site since you are an expert. I'm done with guest blogging over here so I will not just put up with your constant mud-slinging anymore. You pick and choose which posts to nag on and leave comments on posts that have nothing to do with what you comment upon. In several of your comments you refer to items that are in other posts that you seem to have conviently decided not to read. Constant criticism of others reveals flaws in one's own personality. It also relates directly to high stress levels. I suggest you look for positives rather than just negatives all the time. Your life might be more fulfilled.

4 Oh, and you're perfect, Chad? That piece you wrote was not cohesive. If you want, I can rewrite it and send it to you so you'll understand what cohesiveness is. Whenever you write a piece, the first line should the like the last line putting the whole situation together. Normal English. What you did was throw a monkey wrench in at the end, so it was like talking about two subjcts. Sometimes criticism is important to make your writing even better. If you can't handle that, then you shouldn't be writing at all. Cindy

5 You had to come back again for another put down? So . . . very . . . sad. I believe I know how to write considering my background, but thank you for your criticism. I'll file it into the cabinet.

7 Cindy, If you read Beth's post you could have answered your own question regarding her having a blog.
