I have already posted about the fact that the Islamic Thinkers Society was behind the New York rally in front of the Danish embassy. This is the same group that burned the American flag, celebrated 9/11, and warned that 'next time, we will get all of NYC.' Here is an admission from the group that they a) organized the rally to condemn the Muhammed cartoon b) share the same goals as al Qaeda and the Taliban--the revival of the Caliphate, institution of sharia (Islamic) law, the building of a utopian Islamic society, and the domination of the world by Muslims

To create the ideal Islamic society, where the furqan(criterion) for the individuals as well as the rulers will be the Qur'an & Sunnah and the Qur'an & Sunnah only. As always, our struggle is intellectual & political. To us, this is a matter of life & death. A matter of jannah & jahannam. It requires seriousness, dedication, & sabr.

One of the most troubling points is that in 2004 the ACLU refused to accept $1.15 million in grants from the Ford and Rockefeller Foundations because:

Irony on parade. Here are photos of the Fifth column operating in New York today. The protest over the Muhammed cartoons today in front of the Danish embassy that was organized by The Islamic Thinkers Society of New York. The retards in the MSM say that this group is simply upset about the blasphemous cartoons.

You may remember this group from past protests in the Big Apple where they shouted "we will kill you", and "next time we will get all of NYC". Isn't it rich that they also carry around signs urging tolerance and calling Islam 'the religion of peace'? At one protest organized by them they could be heard screaming, God hates the US because they have Homosexuals.

Upset over the Muhammed cartoons? More like upset that the U.S. isn't an Islamic state and that the 9/11 terrorists killed so few.

Don't think you can come here and "educate" the "hayseeds" when you evidently do not even have a passing clue about the goals of Islam re: the Khalifah, Sharia, Taqiyya and kitman, the Mahdi etc. I suggest you come back here when you've read up on the above subjects and try your whole "deep thinking liberal" routine again.

77 I hope everyone here can see that each of us is human and if our labels were taken away, we would see how your problems are the same problems a muslim person faces, they have the same questions about this life on earth, about how to handle problems in life, the way to raise your kids, how to stay healthy, how to keep away from poverty, how to give something to the world before you leave it. All of you need to understand Islam, how much longer will we avoid looking into Islam through a muslims eyes, how much longer will we be frightened of just simply going to a muslim website to learn of their religion. In my limited experience Ive noticed that muslims behave and act 90% according to their faith, so if you want to have peace on earth without killing off all the muslims, you have to take advantage of reading about thier faith. It will help you help them. After talking and reading, im sure you will see how your screaming and shouting is no better than that of their fanatics - so how are we any better.

You of course followed that message to a crescendo ending in moral equivalence between fanatics and the people who see Islam as a threat. No one is "frightened of Islam" except liberals like yourself who hide under the blankets at the very thought of insulting them. Most people that post here spend more time looking up facts, and statistics to do with Islam, and obviously have a greater understanding of it, excuse them if they do not subscribe to your philosophy of "All we need is love".

Taliban and al Qaeda supporters shown parading beheading victims in Pakistan on video. Disgusting. Via Chad at In the Bullpen this from the Times:

Disturbing video footage of beheaded bodies being paraded through the streets of southern Pakistan, in front of powerless police, has been broadcast today in Afghanistan.

Tolo TV, a private Afghan network, said that the men were killed a month ago in the tribal district of South Waziristan as a punishment for their opposition to the Taleban and al-Qaeda militias.

It would not reveal the source of the footage, whose authenticity has not been verified.

In one segment of the film, three decapitated heads are held up to cheers from a gathered crowd. Later, a number of bodies are seen being dragged behind a pick-up truck.

Crowds are heard chanting "long live Osama bin Laden" and "long live Mullah Omar", respectively the leaders of al-Qaeda and the Taleban.

Spend a little time talking to jihadis and a common theme emerges: they believe it is their religious duty to fight. In their view, this duty is imposed on them in the Quran and by the example of the Prophet Muhammed who, by most accounts in the most widely accepted hadiths, is a man not averse to killing his enemies and spreading Islam through force and the sword. If you are a Muslim and reject the authenticity of those hadiths and of that interpretation of Quranic verses, then what's the problem?

As the Demosophist has reminded me on several occasions, if Muhammed didn't endorse violent jihad then the caricature of him in Danish newspapers is of a false Muhammed and therefore should be offensive to no one. However, if Muhammed did endorse violent jihad, then he deserves to be blasphemed.

When the widely influential Sheik Yusef al-Qaradawi can praise Muhammad as "an epitome for religious warriors [mujahideen]," Muhammad, a jihad model, shouldn't be a taboo subject in the West, either in caricature or commentary, and certainly shouldn't be super-sacralized, in effect, by a fearfully polite censorship. The subject should be laid out for all to see.

The Egyptian Ambassador to Denmark, Mona Omar Attia, has been recalled from her duties and assigned elsewhere. Ms. Attia was key in inflaming Muslim anger over the Muhammed cartoons. Good riddance. Egyptian Sandmonkey has more.
