Whether the war is right or not, the USA will prevail, 2 reasons; Money and Nukes. If at some point they feel the oil will be taken over, they will take it themselves and say fuck the civilians. Currently right now, the army is forcing Iraqi's out of their homes and using them to mobilize and move around. Listen, almost every post I've read so far has been full of hate, ignorance, and just plain old crap. I understand that the U.S.'s recent actions have not pleased the rest of the world. I can't say that I totally agree with everything that we have done thus far.
What I am sure of is the fact that we are the world's super power, and that won't change for a long time. We have only existed for 200 years, might as well be weeks considering the lifespan of nations throughout history. There is a reason that we have grown so strong and will continue to do so. Freedom. A government by the people and for the people is undoubtedly the most fair and logical method. Democracy is still in it's infancy. If anyone out there has a better idea to govern millions of people just let me know. Think about it, government wants to make a decision, they ask the citizens. Majority rules. Fair and simple.
For the last 4,000 years the civilized world has not been a very hospitable place to live in. If you think about it there have been so many wars, so much killing, torture, and violation of basic human rights on so many levels. It certainly doesn't seem to be slowing down any.
What I don't understand is the fact that most of us (and I say most because it's fairly obvious that I cannot say all here) are smart individuals. We live in an age where the ENTIRE WORLD of information is acessible at the click of a button. More and more people are college educated. We know now than we ever have. We are supposed to be making progress. Yet we still view ourselves as Christian, Muslim, or Jewish. Black, White, Arab, and Asian. Yes, these are differences. I am proud to be an American just the same as Mohamed is proud to be an Iraqi. But what I don't understand is why after all these years do we still see each other in these ways. I don't care if you are retarded, gay, muslim, ghetto, whatever. WE ARE ALL HUMAN BEINGS AREN'T WE!! THATS WHAT IT REALLY COMES DOWN TO. THATS IT! IF YOU CUT ME I BLEED. IF I CUT YOU, YOU BLEED. BEING CUT HURTS ME. BEING CUT HURTS YOU. SO MY QUESTION IS THAT IF WE KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO HURT ANOTHER PERSON, THEN WHY DO WE DO IT. Such a simple concept. As long as you don't harm me, I don't care what you think. Everyone is entitled to their opinon.
I think that the reason is that we are creatures of emotion by nature. I think that a possible solution to this ignorance is education. It's amazing what knowledge will unlock and that is why I think that a lot of this shit is going on today. If you take into consideration the whole world, most people are not adequetly edutcated. I have no idea how to solve this, but I do believe that it's a big part of the problem.
Oh and another thing! I don't want to ever hear the words Jihad, Holy War, or Crusades ever again!!! More humans have died for the cause of religion than anything else... ever! Isn't it ironic that religion is supposed to bring us together, unite us, teach us, educate us on tolerance, love, peace and undertanding and all we have done with it is fight over it...over and over again it seems. Well im no genius but the definiton of insanity is the doing something over and over again and expecting a different result, but always getting the same result. So why don't we actually read and try to understand what the Koran, Bible, and other religous books are teaching. And more importantly, and of course more difficult....try to live by these teachings. Every book states that "GOD" (whatever that means to you) wants us to treat each other the way we would want to be treated= with love and respect. I'm gonna stop rambling here and go to bed. It's a big shit sandwich and we all gotta take a bite.

Big D... I believe you should research religions world wide before you make that statement. Especially the extreemist religions in the middle east. The majority of people in Iraq are very ignorant and fueled by hate. Iraq is a piece of shit roasting on the earths surface but if we plant a seed there mabe something good will grow out of it.
