Terrorist Sympathizer Mahathir Endorses Kerry

Can someone please tell me how Kerry gets the both the Jewish vote and the Neo-Nazi vote. Doesn't cognitive dissonance mean anything to American Jews? The Straits Times:

Malaysia's former prime minister has urged Muslims in America to vote for US Senator John Kerry in the Nov 2 presidential election, saying President George W. Bush has been 'the cause of the tragedies' across the Muslim world.

'Vote Bush out of office,' Dr Mahathir Mohamad said in an open letter dated Oct 15 to America's Muslim community. 'It is truly an ibadah (act of devotional worship) that you perform.'

'In the past four years, during the Presidency of George W. Bush, the Muslims and their countries have suffered oppression and humiliation as never before in the history of Islam,' he said in the letter published on IslamiCity.com, a California-based website. ...

'There is an obvious connection between the sufferings of the Muslims and the policies and thinking of Bush,' the letter said.

'Bush has shown that despite his protests, he is the cause of the tragedies in Afghanistan, Palestine and Iraq,' he said.

'I would like to appeal to you, the Muslim citizens and voters of America, to be united and to cast your votes against Bush, in the name of justice, in the name of Islam.' ....

Dr Mahathir retired last year mired in a controversy after telling a summit of Muslim leaders that 'Jews rule the world by proxy. They get others to fight and die for them'.

The real quote from Mahathir is "The Nazis killed 6 out of 12 million Jews" then followed by "The Jews [still] rule the world by proxy." Later, Mahathir elaborated by saying this small kabal of Jews could not stand up to the force of a billion Muslims if Muslims would just unite in their opposition to the Hebrews.

Another Beheading Video from the Religion of Peace: Turkish Truck Driver Murderd

This video is the second to be posted to the Ansar al-Sunnah website, but in which at least one of the murderers identified themselves as a member of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's Tawhid and Jihad terrorist organization [earlier post here]. More to come as time permits. NY Post:

An Iraqi militant group has beheaded a Turkish driver it was holding hostage, according to a video posted on the group's Web site yesterday.

The Army of Ansar al-Sunna said in a statement that it had killed the driver because he worked with the U.S.-led forces in Iraq.

"We warn all those who cooperate with the occupying crusaders to repent and return to the faith or else blame only themselves for their fate, which is death," one of four masked gunmen said, before decapitating the hostage with a knife. The video showed the gunmen standing in front of a black banner bearing the name of Ansar al-Sunna.

They were surrounding the hostage, who was seated on the floor in an open courtyard. He gave a brief statement in Turkish and then was shown blindfolded.

"I want my voice to be heard by all my driver friends and by Turkey. No one should bring goods into Iraq, they shouldn't come to Iraq. That's all I have to say," said the gray-haired hostage, holding up his identity cards.

Beheading Video: Zarqawi Murders Two Iraqis

All pictures in this post are from the video. Link to the video is below. As you can see, those who wish to minimize the Iraqi involvement in fighting terrorists in their own land are sorely mistaken. Most of the recent hostage murders have been Iraqis themselves. Those who are involved in building a modern state in Iraq do so at the risk of their own lives.

Disclaimer: When I started posting about this subject I never expected the terrorists to begin beheading people on a daily basis. I am saddened to keep posting on this subject. However, I still feel strongly that most Americans have forgotten what it was like to watch the Twin Towers fall. They have forgotten what it was like to watch people jumping out of those buildings. Many claim to remember, but an intellectual understanding of such attrocities is not enough. Let the images and video posted below remind you of the sick SOBs we are fighting. A videotape that was posted Wednesday on an Islamic Web site showed militants affiliated with wanted Jordanian terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi beheading two Iraqis purported to be intelligence officers...

iraqiintel2pic.jpgThe 10-minute videotape showed two captives, Fadhel Ibrahim and Firas Imeil, identifying themselves as Iraqi National Intelligence officers and saying they were captured in Baghdad's Haifa Street on Sept. 28.

The tape showed four masked gunmen standing behind Ibrahim and then Imeil, with one militant describing the blindfolded captives as "criminals."

The militant speaking in the tape mentioned the recent U.S.-led attacks against militants in the Iraqi city of Samarra and appeared to acknowledge a setback for insurgents in the city.

"Let America and those behind it know that what had happened in Samarra was a mere labor pain," the militant said, adding that "war has its ups and downs." U.S. and Iraqi troops claimed success earlier this month when they swept into Samarra, an insurgent stronghold northwest of Baghdad.

"It is a disgrace that such a criminal is considered as a member of our nation," the militant said. Then two other masked men held down Ibrahim and a third severed the captive's head with a knife before holding it up to the camera.

Imeil, who said he joined the Iraqi intelligence services four months ago and attended a training course in Jordan, was killed in identical fashion.

Before being beheaded, both victims advised fellow Iraqis working in the intelligence, police, national guard and other services to quit their jobs and "repent to God."

France/Germany Don't Want NATO in Afghanistan

So, Senator Kerry, what was that again about building another coalition like the one we had in Afghanistan? Seattle Post Intelligencer:

France and Germany spoke out Wednesday against a U.S. proposal to put NATO in charge of the military and reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan, but U.S. and other officials said the alliance would go ahead and develop options for merging the missions.
What worries me most about Kerry is his immature view of world politics. He seems to have no conception of nations acting in their own interests. Rather, he seems to think that nations act out of friendship. Day one of Intro. to IR: nation's have allies not friends. And alliances--those are forged out of mutual interests.

Iraqi SWAT Team

NRO:

When Iraqi SWAT commandos hit a target, they hit it hard. Racing forward in white pick-up trucks emblazoned with the unit's emblem — a black scorpion and dagger (an emblem designed by the Iraqis) — the raiders leap from the vehicles and rush toward their objective almost before the enemy has time to panic. The attackers — primarily in their early to mid-twenties — are armed with a variety of personal weapons including AK-47s and SIG Sauer assault rifles, shotguns, pistols, and grenades. They all wear khaki-colored assault suits (similar to zip-up flight suits) with an Iraqi-flag patch stitched on the shoulder. Khaki or black balaclavas cover their heads, concealing their faces. "The Iraqis like wearing balaclavas," says Douglas. "It makes them look fearless, and terrifies the enemy."

While the team is kicking in doors, observation helicopters are thundering overhead watching for bad guys attempting to escape or enemy reinforcements moving up. Attack helicopters and jets are flying on-station ready to suppress any resistance or a counter-attack. And within a few hundred yards of the assault, U.S. Marines are poised to move-in should the raid begin to unravel.

Over the past several days, this "swarming" technique has netted numerous enemy prisoners and weapons caches in the 24th MEU's area of responsibility. And the speed with which they attack actually keeps casualties low.

The success of the new unit has instilled "great confidence" in both SWAT-team members and regular Iraqi soldiers, says Col. Salaam Abdul al Kathom, the commander of the Iraqi SWAT team. It has also increased pride and a greater sense of security for the Iraqi people.

"With the Americans, we're the same team, no difference," Col. Kathom says, through an interpreter. "The training is very good. I am very, very happy with the progress. We will destroy the bad guys."

Iraq's Killing Fields: Mostly Women and Children

Washington Times:

Investigators have unearthed a mass grave in northern Iraq containing hundreds of bodies of women and children believed killed in the 1980s.

"It is my personal opinion that this is a killing field," Greg Kehoe, a U.S. investigator working with the Iraqi Special Tribunal, told reporters in Hatra, south of the city of Mosul.

Nine trenches have been located containing hundreds of bodies believed to be Kurds executed and then bulldozed into trenches during Saddam Hussein's repression of 1987-88.

"Someone used this field on significant occasions over time to take bodies up there, and to take people up there and execute them," Kehoe said.

The body of one woman was found still clutching a baby. The infant had been shot in the back of the head and the woman in the face, the BBC reported.

Iraq's human rights ministry has reportedly identified 40 possible mass graves across the country.

Nigerian Court Sentence Two Women to Death by Stoning for Having Sex

Earlier today I reported that a band of rebels calling themselves The Taliban want to break free from Nigeria and set up their own Islamic state because, you know, stoning women to death for fornicating just isn't Islamic enough for the purists. Folks, this is Sharia law (Hat tip: Cindy).

New Beheading Video from Army of Ansar al-Sunnah: Shiite Follower of Muqtada al-Sadr Beheaded for 'Working with US'

Very very odd. The man who is murdered is identified as a Shiite cleric named Al-Sayed Alaa al-Malki, a follower of the radical cleric Muqtada al-Sadr. Perhaps there are other, less apparent, reasons that al-Sadr has made this latest deal with the Alawi's Provisional Authority? Is it possible that al-Sadr's Shiite Muqti Army is already engaged in sectarian violence against the Sunni Army of Ansar al-Sunnah and Zarqawi's Tawhid and Jihad group? Just yesterday I reported a new beheading video released by the Army of Ansar al-Sunnah included one man who identified himself as a member of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's Tawhid and Jihad terrorist organization. Both are Sunni based terrorist organizations. Yahoo News:

A videotape surfaced on the Internet Tuesday showing what was said to be the confession and beheading of an Arab Shiite Muslim, presumably Iraqi, who was accused of serving the U.S. Army by "assassinating Sunni leaders."

The video's authenticity could not be verified, but it was posted in the name of the Ansar al-Sunna Army, on a Web site where such militant content is often released. It showed a man, who identified himself as Al-Sayed Alaa al-Malki, kneeling in front of two masked gunmen.

Two identification cards were hanging from the man's gray shirt. One of them bore the name al-Malki and said "local sheik." It also had a photograph that showed him wearing a black robe and a white turban similar to those worn by Shiite clerics.

With a bruised face and dark circles beneath his eyes, the bearded, heavyset man spoke in a shaky voice of ties to a Shiite militia and to a former U.S. military commander in Iraq. Then, he was shown held down on his back, his face covered with a white sheet and his head being cut off. Afterward, the sheet was removed to show his face....

In the video posted Tuesday, the man, whose accent was Iraqi, said he was a follower of Iraqi Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr. He said he "had close relationship with the Sadr army ... and relations with political leaders such as the (Lt. Gen. Ricardo) Sanchez."...

The video also showed the man confessing to working with an American military officer named Paul, with whom he allegedly established a "Citizens Claims Office" that was used as a cover "to collect and buy weapons from the street, and sell them to the American army."

A statement purportedly from Ansar al-Sunna Army that accompanied the video said al-Malki was killed because "he used the Citizens Claims Office as an underground tunnel — during his work with the American forces — to assassinate a number of Sunni leaders."

And if one more person e-mails me explaining that beheading is 'un-Islamic', I'm going to pop a nut. Seriously, beheading is a prescribed and accepted method of execution in Sharia law. Perhaps it went out of vogue for awhile, but it's back and with all the force of an Islamic pop-culture revolution. How else do you explain a ten year old Muslim boy in England playing the beheading game?

On August 31st, these terrorists executed 12 hostages from Nepal, one of them by beheading (information, links to video, and images here). On August 11th the group beheaded a man they claimed was a CIA agent (information and images here) and on August 25th the group beheaded a second alleged CIA agent (information and images here). May God speed the victims' souls to heaven, and may His wrath reign down upon the spineless terrorists in the form of a MOAB or other appropriately large ordinance.

African 'Taliban' Take Hostages

Holy shiite!! There's a freaking 'Taliban' in Africa? All Africa:

ISLAMIST rebels have attacked a police patrol and taken a number of hostages at Kala-Balge in Borno State close to the Cameroon border, according to the police. The state Police Commissioner Ade Ajakaiye said he could not yet confirm the number of casualties among the 60-man squad which was attacked on Friday, but that some policemen were known to have been taken prisoner.

"We received information that members of the Taliban group attacked our men on patrol around Kala-Balge bushes," he said on telephone. The self-styled "Talibans" are a small group of militant Islamists who were inspired by their Afghan namesakes and who claim to be fighting to create an independent Muslim state in that part of the country. "The nature of the attack and the fact that our men were taken hostage clearly show that this must be the handiwork of the Talibans," Ajaikaye said.

Bali Bombing Anniversary

Today is the second anniversary of the Bali nightclub bombing which killed 202 people, including 82 Australians. This was Australia's 9/11. May the victims of Islamic fascism rest in peace, and may those who committed this act die a terrible death and then spend the rest of eternity in the lowest ring of hell.

To Australian readers: We will never forget what your country has gone through nor will we forgive. May God bless your land and your brave people!

Chinese Hostages Update: the Gitmo Connection

Three days ago I reported that two Chinese nationals were taken hostage in Pakistan's South Waziristan province--you may recall South Waziristan from such incidents as hiding fleeing al Qaeda leaders and Osama bin Laden's corpse is here. What I did not know was that the leader of the terrorists who had taken the hostages was one of those innocent victims who had been illegally held at Guantanamo Bay until all those great human rights activists and Geneva Convention conscience governments shamed the Bush administration into letting him go.

Get this:"Pakistan officials said the kidnappers were taking orders from [Abdullah] Mehsud, a former inmate of the US military prison at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, who now heads tribesmen fighting alongside al Qaeda fighters in South Waziristan..."

Iraqi, Turk Beheaded by Army of Ansar al-Sunna

The Army of Ansar al-Sunna released the videotaped beheading of a Turkish civillian working on reconstruction efforts and his Iraqi translator. In the video, both men are forced to confess that they are cooperating with the coalition, then they are brutally beheaded. The video may be downloaded at this site (subscription required at that site) or at In the Bullpen where Chad has graciously offered to host the video with no strings attached.. I have the video, but not the bandwidth to host it. Please e-mail if you would like to host the video on your site. I have posted graphic images from the beheading video in the extended entry below.

In the videotape, one of the hostage takers identifies himself as a member of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's Tawhid and Jihad terrorist organization. Both the Army of Ansar al Sunna and Tawhid and Jihad are believed to be looseley connected to al Qaeda. This video is further evidence that the organizational structure of al Qaeda has shifted. While never a strict hierarcy, al Qaeda is increasingly becoming a loose network of like-minded jihadis. Also, this is further evidence that the hunt for Ossama bin Laden should not be a priority in the GWOT. Much more important is stopping the spread of the Islamist ideology behind the network of terrorists who are seeking an immediate restoration of the Islamic Caliphate and it's eventual world-domination.turk2intro_2.jpg

A militant group in Iraq is reported to have beheaded a Turkish hostage and his Iraqi translator because they worked with U.S. forces.

The al-Jazeera television network aired scenes of a video showing masked men holding the two men. The station said the video was found on a militant-linked Web site and was purported to be from the al-Qaida-linked Army of Ansar al-Sunna group. The video reportedly showed militants killing the hostages after they confessed to working with U.S. forces, but al-Jazeera did not air the video.

Also today, the al-Arabiya station broadcast video showing militants threatening to behead another Turkish hostage.

In the footage, one gunman identified the kidnappers as members of Tawhid and Jihad - a group led by wanted terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

militant Iraqi group said it had beheaded a Turkish contractor and his Iraqi translator as punishment for working with U.S. forces in Iraq, television channel Al Jazeera television said on Monday.

The station aired scenes from a video by the Army of Ansar al-Sunna group showing the Turk standing between two masked militants. Al Jazeera said the group killed the two men after they "confessed" to have cooperated with U.S. forces.

The television said they would not air the beheading video, which it said it had obtained from a Web site, because it was too gruesome.

I have tried to enlarge the video enough to be able to read both hostages identification, but the resolution is too poor. If any of you find out their names, please let me know. These victims deserve to be remembered by name. UPDATE: The Interested Participant writes: "The Turk's name is Maher Kemal and the Iraqi's name is Lukman Hussein." Thanks for the heads up.

Is American William Bradley a Hostage in Iraq?

Interesting article, sent to me by reader Cindy, about an American civillian kidnapped back in April. His whereabouts are still unkown. Newsday:

In the six months since truck driver William Bradley
disappeared in Iraq, his relatives say they're frustrated by their
countless efforts to find out what happened to him.

"I haven't heard one thing," Bradley's sister, Donna Cureton, said from
her home in Carlsbad, N.M. "My phone bill looks like the national debt,
but nobody will talk to you."

Bradley, 50, of Chesterfield, went missing April 9, when insurgents
attacked his fuel convoy outside Baghdad. Two others in the convoy -- Army
Spc. Keith M. Maupin of Ohio, and Timothy Bell of Mobile, Ala., who
like Bradley worked for a subsidiary of energy giant Halliburton Co. --
are also still missing. Thomas Hamill of Macon, Miss., managed to escape
the Iraqis who captured him.

A state where freedom of religion is a thing of the past. A state where Hindus and Buddhists are forced to convert or be killed. Suicice Bomber in Kashmir

Last post, I swear. One guess as to what certain Religion of Irony dominates in Kasmir? Here's a hint: the MSM likes to call their terrorists militants. ABC News:

A suicide car bomber rammed into an army convoy in Indian-controlled Kashmir on Saturday, triggering an explosion that left four people dead and 22 wounded, the army said.

Two soldiers, a civilian and the bomber were killed in the attack on a highway connecting Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu-Kashmir state, with the frontier town of Uri, an army garrison, said Lt. Col. V. K. Batra.

Twelve soldiers and 10 civilians were injured in the blast.

Shortly after the attack, a local news agency in Srinagar said it received a telephone call from the Jaish-e-Mohammed militant group claiming responsibility for the attack. The Current News Service said the caller identified himself as Abu Jindal and claimed to be a spokesman for the Pakistan-based militant group.

The Jaish-e-Mohammed is one of more than a dozen Islamic militant groups fighting for Kashmir's independence from India or its merger with neighboring Pakistan. The group, also known as the "Army of Mohammed" is considered by the United States to be a terrorist group.

More than 65,000 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in the conflict over Kashmir since 1989.

Two Chinese Nationals Kidnapped in Pakistan

South Waziristan, you may recall, is the province where many in the al Qaeda leadership are said to be holed up. Daily Times:

Two Chinese engineers working at the Gomal Zam Dam project in South Waziristan Agency were kidnapped along with a security guard and a co-worker on Saturday morning.

The men left for work early in the morning and their abandoned vehicle was later found at Tormandi. DIG Police Habibur Rehman told reporters in Dera, 160 miles south of Peshawar, that the Chinese engineers and the two Pakistanis were kidnapped 10 kilometres inside South Waziristan Agency at 7:00am.

Officials said that security forces were chasing the kidnappers and had sealed the area.

Sources said the authorities had asked Muttahdia Majlis-e-Amal MNA Maulana Mirajuddin to negotiate the release of the Chinese workers. Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao told reporters in Peshawar that all channels were being explored to secure the release of the abducted men. “We are leaving no stone unturned to ensure the safe release of the Chinese men and two Pakistanis,” he said. Brig (r) Mehmood Shah, FATA security chief, told Daily Times that two foreigners and one Pushto-speaking tribesman were involved in the kidnapping.

“The authorities are negotiating with the kidnappers as they have threatened to blow up themselves and the hostages if the security forces try to carry out a rescue operation,” Brig Shah said. He said the kidnappers had so far made no demand for the release of the hostages but sources in Dera said that the kidnappers had demanded to be “taken to the ameer.” But they would not elaborate who the ameer was. Military helicopters were hovering over the Gardoway area near Tank district, a source in Wana said. “They are walking on foot. Paramilitary troops are following them,” an intelligence source said.

Kenneth Bigley Escape Attempt Confirmed

Yesterday I played down reports that Kenneth Bigley had attempted to escape before he was murdered by the terrorscum[original Kenneth Bigley post here]. Today, multiple sources confirm that Bigley had attempted to escape before Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's Tawid and Jihad terrorist organization beheaded him. The interesting question, here, is how did the Iraqi authorities and MSNBC, who carried the story yesterday, get this information? Washington Times:

The British engineer who was held three weeks by Islamic extremists in Iraq before being beheaded managed to escape shortly before his video-taped murder.

Apparently, one of his captors helped Ken Bigley escape in the town of Latifiya, southwest of Baghdad, where he was being held, the BBC reported Saturday.

But he was recaptured about 30 minutes later and soon thereafter beheaded while a video camera taped the killing, Iraqi officials told his family.

Kenneth Bigley Beheaded in Iraq

Abu Dhabi Television reports that British hostage Kenneth Bigley has been 'executed' by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's Tawid and Jihad terrorist organization. Reuters claims that UK government sources have confirmed Bigley's murder. On September 25th a message was posted on an Islamic message board claiming Ken Bigley had been beheaded [information here], but the report turned out to be false. However, today's report would be the first time a major media organization has claimed to have confirmation of Bigley's death. UPDATE: Video emerges of Bigley beheading. Links to video and images soon. Scroll down for updates.

UPDATE I: Sources in Fallujah claim that Kenneth Bigley has been beheaded. Expect the release of a beheading video within the next 24 hours. Reuters:

British hostage Kenneth Bigley has been beheaded near Baghdad, insurgent sources in the rebel-held town of Falluja say. The sources said Bigley was killed on Thursday afternoon in the town of Latifiya, about 22 miles southwest of the Iraqi capital. They declined to say how they had got their information.
UDATE II: MSNBC (via Jeff Quinton) has a conflicting report about how Bigley was killed and that others might also have been killed. Is this an allusion that US or other Coalition Forces could hav been involved in a rescue attempt?
At the Pentagon, meanwhile, U.S. military sources told NBC News that they have reports from Iraq that Bigley might have been killed while trying to escape. The reports indicate that a number of "others" who might have been trying to help Bigley escape were also killed, the sources said.
UPDATE III: Al Jazeera also claiming Bigley was beheaded.

A video released by Muslim militants shows them beheading British hostage Kenneth Bigley, a Reuters witness says.

Bigley was shown making a statement as six militants stood behind him before one cut his head off with a knife.

UPDATE IV:Abu Dhabi television obtains Bigley beheading videotape. Bloomberg:
Abu Dhabi television has obtained a videotape that it says shows Bigley being beheaded by his captors, and it has decided not to broadcast the tape of the killing, said a network spokesman who asked not to be identified.
UPDATE V:Kenneth Bigley's brother blames Blair, has "blood on his hands." Reuters:
The brother of British hostage Kenneth Bigley said on Friday that Prime Minister Tony Blair had "blood on his hands".

In a statement to anti-Iraq war activists, issued after he had heard reports of his brother's apparent death, Paul Bigley said: "Please, please stop the war and prevent other lives being lost.

"It is illegal, it has to stop. Mr Blair has blood on his hands."

UPDATE VI: Bigley's family has proof that Ken is dead. What is so odd about this is that the British government cannot yet confirm Bigley's death, yet his family ca. The victim's younger brother, Paul Bigley, recently had his home Dutch Intelligence officers and his computer was siezed [details here] amidst allegations that Bigley's family was communicating with the terrorists. Reuters:
His brother said on Friday that Bigley had been killed, confirming earlier reports coming out of Iraq. "We can confirm that the family has now received absolute proof that Ken Bigley was executed by his captors," Phil Bigley, Ken's younger brother, said in a televised statement.
UPDATE VII: Blair reacts. No matter how much revulsion you think you feel upon hearing the news, when you see the video or images of it your revulsion level will reach unimaginable heights. Reuters:
"I feel utter revulsion at the people who did this, not just at the barbaric nature of the killing but the way frankly they played with the situation over the past few weeks," Blair told reporters on Friday. "I feel a strong sense, as I hope others do, that the actions of these people whether in Iraq or elsewhere should not prevail over people like Ken Bigley."
UPDATE VII: Allawi reacts. Reuters:
"This is a horrible, barbaric act," Allawi told Reuters. "We are determined to pursue those terrorists who killed Mr Bigley and put them on trial as soon as possible."

Allawi said there had been intense efforts to secure the release of the 62-year-old engineer, but no attempt to rescue him by force.

Asked if he knew why the kidnappers had chosen to kill Bigley at this time, he said: "Their intention from the start was to kill him, but they were trying to exploit this matter for a long time for publicity. Their intention was to kill him."

UPDATE VIII:Allawi claims no rescue attempt, but admits that security forces were sweeping area where Bigley was being held. Jon, of Gam Blog, tells me that British media are reporting that Coalition forces were getting near the safe-house Zarqawi was holding Bigley in. It is also being reported that a US bomb may have struck a Tawid and Jihad meeting in the neighborhood. These events may have scared Zarqawi enough that he decided to execute Bigley on the spot.

But make no mistake, Zarqawi would have killed Bigley sooner or later. The only reason Bigley lasted the 22 days in captivity that he did was because Zarqawi found the Brittish public so easily manipulated by his propaganda. Bigley's life was a propaganda tool in Zarqawi's hands. His death must not be forgotten, and his murderers hunted down like the vermin they are.

UPDATE IX: Straw confirms Biglye death, admits that contact had been made with terrorists, refuses to comment when asked if more than Bigley dead. Scotsman:

Four days ago, an individual approached the British Embassy in Baghdad, presenting himself as a potential intermediary with the captors,” he said.

“It was very clearly in Mr Bigley’s interest that we should do all we could to establish contact.

“Messages were exchanged with the hostage-takers in an attempt to dissuade them from carrying out their threat to kill Mr Bigley.

“But at no stage did they abandon their demands relating to the release of women prisoners, even though they were aware that there are no women prisoners in our custody in Iraq.

“Both the Prime Minister and I approved these communications and endorsed their content, which was in line with the public statements which both of us had made.

“Ken Bigley’s family in Liverpool and his wife in Thailand were kept fully aware of our communications with this intermediary.

“This afternoon, as you all know, the intermediary has provided us with proof beyond reasonable doubt that Ken Bigley’s captors have carried out their threat.

“Our hearts and prayers go out to Ken Bigley’s family, his colleagues and friends.”

UPDATE XII--Oct. 9th: Neither Abu Musab al-Zarqawi nor Islamic bulletin boards have posted the Kenneth Bigley beheading video yet. What is unique about this particular video is that the terrorists did give the video to al-Jazeera, their normal method of disseminating the initial video. Their normal MO is to then post the video to one of several Islamic bulletin boards, followed by posting the video to one of several websites closely associated with Zarqawi. Is this a good sign that Zarqawi is on the run and unable to take the time to get the video online? I hope so. Better yet, I hope he's dead.

UPDATE XIII--Oct. 9th: Bigley body found? One report says his body was found, but it conflicts with all other reports.

UPDATE XIV--Oct. 10th: Beheading video of Kenneth Bigley was posted to an Islamic bulletin board today. I have posted images from it below. Instead, he pleas one last time for Tony Blair to give the terrorists what they want. Unfortunately for Ken Bigley, what the terrorists want is a world-wide Islamic state. A state where freedom of religion is a thing of the past. A state where Hindus and Buddhists are forced to convert or be killed.
