What about all those other "illegal occupations"??
Syrian forces have begun to withdraw some of their troops from positions around Lebanon's capital of Beirut. Remember Lebanon? No? Let me refresh your memory. Syria invaded Lebanon in 1976. That's right, 1976!! Just two weeks ago the UN Security Council demanded Syria withdraw from Lebanon amidst the Beirut puppet government's gambit to extend the term of President Emile Lahoud. One last thing, the Syrian government is ruled by the pan-Arabic Baathist party. Yes, THAT Baathist party. The one that Saddam Hussein was leader of in Iraq. Now about those WMD......

No that all wrong, according to the Taif agreement, Syria was *invited* in the stabilize the country, and with successive agreements, was *invited* to stay. Recently, the Lebanese parliament *agreed* to extending the 6 year term of the president for another three. Syria and Lebanon have a *fraternal* relationship supported and encouraged by their good brothers in the highly *effective* Arab League.

You do that so well, Jane, I don't knowwhether to laugh because it's funny or cry because it's true.

hmm...going for that 3rd term is illegal so that will probably change.
So far, out of 20,000 troops there, only 3,000 are going to be moved.. they didn't say where to or why but moved to where they are needed the most. Only time will tell if they'll actually remove those 3,000 troops for they still have 17,000 troops there that will remain.
News on both front changes by the hour.
