Saudi Forces Kill Terrorists in Gun Battle

More evidence that nations will only fight terrorism if they believe it is in their national security interests to do so. In the case of the House of Saud, it is because the jihadis wish to replace that regime with one that is even more harsh. Get it? The Saudi's Wahhabism doesn't go far enough. In the case of Pakistan, they help us because the alternative is a US invasion or harsh sanctions. In the case of the French....oh, sorry, my bad. Arab News:

Saudi security forces clashed with four suspected terrorists in the Al-Jamia district early yesterday morning. One terrorist was killed, and three were captured during the two-hour long siege. One of the three was a foreign national, the Interior Ministry said.

According to Brig. Gen. Mansour Al-Turki, a ministry spokesman, two security officers were injured in the operation that resulted in the confiscation of eight Kalashnikovs, 100 locally made bombs, machine guns, hand-grenades and live ammunition.

1 Note the Saudi usage of the term "terrorist." Not "insurgent" or "militant" or "minuteman."

2 The Saudis are not fighting to suppress terrorists, the Saudi Royalty are fighting to prevent becoming decorations on Street lights in their royal city! It's just a matter of time . . . then the race will be on to "Occupy" Saudi Arabia by one or more of our European "Friends" and set up a "Democratic Government" there! Watch! And incidently, France is doing a wonderful "Peace Keeping" job in Ivory Coast, aren't they? So far they have destroyed the National Air force, caused a couple of riots and gotten several of their own killed! Not bad for a country that's so much more advanced than we . . . And all they actually had to do was go and be traffic cops!

3 LARGE: Don't know. Another senario: Rebellion starts. THe royal guards protect the royals until the US sends in troops to get them out. They then abandon the royal guards, move to the United States and use their billions to buy the best 5th Ave has to offer. They then live in luxury off the billions they stole from the people of Saudi Arabia. The west says thats too much money for the ISLAMOFACISTS to have. The US, it's true allies and the EU invades. Lots of continued terrorist shit. Saudi people have enough of it and become a democracy like Iraq will be. ISLAMOFACISTS say oh shit and go back to Afghanistan and the west doesn't give a shit. No oil there. The people of Saudi Arabia demand the royals return the billions stole from the people. The west wants oil so we lock up the royals billions and the courts (after lawyers make millions) decide to return most of the money. Of course leaving out enough to pay the lawyers. Oil revenues make the standard of living for the average Saudi go up. Iraqi and Saudi girls start wearing lipstick and tight levys, the boys listen to rap music. MacDonalds and Wal-Mart come in and make a killing. The Germans and Japanese sell millions of cars. The rest of the Arab world likes what they see and slowly joins in. Everyone in the middle east denies they ever knew a terrorist. Some terrorists use the money kept from donations from the people that never knew them to move to France.

4 A few things more than worth pointing out. First, Bin Laden and his ilk are NOT big fans of pure Wahhabism. So Wahhabism DOES NOT = bin Ladenism. Remember the guys who attacked us on 9/11? Anybody remember these freakin' guys? Anybody actually feel like concentrating on the strains of ideology directly related to 9/11 instead of going off on your little adventures? You know, we'll have time for these fun little projects later. We still haven't dealt with 9/11, and that's ATROCIOUS in my view. "Note the Saudi usage of the term 'terrorist.' Not 'insurgent' or 'militant' or 'minuteman.' " What the hell is your point? "Terrorist" is a term that countries often use to politically define groups to make them seem more unseemly to the public. If there are two groups that both commit atrocities, and one of them is working on our behalf, then the other guys are the "terrorists." This doesn't mean "terrorist" is a purely relative term. There IS such a thing as terrorism. But the term can be manipulated, and it very often is. Too often, the label does more to confuse issues than to clarify them, by painting one side's violence as benign and the other sides' as demonic. We can think of ourselves as the good guys without examining issues so bluntly. We need to UNDERSTAND this stuff, not just endlessly spew rhetoric about it. I appreciate the courage all of you possess in pointing out the dangerous ultra-close ties between our president and the Saudis. The US, of course, always has close ties with the Saudis, but the Bush administration has had the closest ties maybe ever. When Bush came into office, he instructed the FBI to ease up a bit on those investigating the Saudi financial networks that helped to fund terrorist organizations like al-Qaeda. Clinton had been hesitant to anger the Saudis, too, but when Bush came in it was like a free-for-all for the Saudis who sympathized with terrorism. (No, al-Qaeda was NOT funded by the Saudi state, unless you count the alleged please-don't-attack-us payoff money, but there were certainly Saudis tied to the royals who did fund al-Qaeda on their own, and that's no secret.) And FINALLY, "Iraqi and Saudi girls start wearing lipstick and tight levys, the boys listen to rap music. MacDonalds and Wal-Mart come in and make a killing. The Germans and Japanese sell millions of cars. The rest of the Arab world likes what they see and slowly joins in." Wow, you really have your finger on the pulse of the Arab world. Christ, these are exactly the things that the Arab world HATES about the United States right now. These are the things that help to fuel fundamentalism and the extremist anti-American recruiting. You think these things are totally alien to the Middle East? No, these cultural items have ebbed and flowed in the region. Places like Iran and Egypt were once MORE accepting of Western culture than they are today. Nowadays, many people have so much pent-up anger about the West that these things are symbols of precisely what is wrong with the West. What was once a mystique about Levis and short skirts is now, for many, a deap-seated loathing. They know about this stuff. But MANY, MANY of them don't want it, at least until the West makes more of an effort to give a shit about what makes the MIDDLE EAST uniquely its own. They DON'T WANT TO BE US. They want to accept some of our culture if we're willing to acknowledge that what makes them distinct is pretty great as well. These guys have known great civilizations for millennia, and Americans with their f**king burgers and Levis waltz in and think they're the greatest motherf**kers ever, and you know what, the Arabs couldn't give a f**k about that. If we want these guys to embrace more of our values and our culture, we have to respect that they will never BECOME us, and never SHOULD. We need to be more reasonable. You can't make someone like a burger by shoving it down his throat until he chokes on it. Here come the Americans. They're airdropping another Wal-Mart on top of a Mosque. Oh well, let's just go to Wal-Mart instead. This is f**ked up.

5 And the same shit goes on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on. The beheadings, 9/11, bombings, blah, blah, is all America's fault. It's Bush's fault. Wendy's created the terrorists. Their civilization is superior to the west. YEA, SURE: WHY LIVE IN THE WEST? GO THERE AND ENJOY THE WONDERFUL CULTURE IN THE MIDDLE EAST. WHY ARE MILLIONS OF THEM ARE MOVING TO THE WEST? BULLSHIT, BULLSHIT AND MORE BULLSHIT. The answer is simple. It's called ISLAM. And is SUCKS.

6 Right, and that's why so many of the fuckers move HERE and try to cram THEIR religions and cultures on US. Like that gal that insisted on wearing her veil to get her driver's license photo taken? WTF? This is AMERICA, honey. Funny thing is she IS an Amercan, just CONVERTED over to some Islam/Muslim religion. We let them come over here and wonder why all the gas stations, kiosks at the mall, grocery stores, etc. are owned and operated by foreigners from the Middle East. Anybody ever check these characters out? Are they American citizens? Or just here to make the money and move back home? Or are they terrorists just posing as business owners? You nevah know.
