Kenneth Bigley Escape Attempt Confirmed

Yesterday I played down reports that Kenneth Bigley had attempted to escape before he was murdered by the terrorscum[original Kenneth Bigley post here]. Today, multiple sources confirm that Bigley had attempted to escape before Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's Tawid and Jihad terrorist organization beheaded him. The interesting question, here, is how did the Iraqi authorities and MSNBC, who carried the story yesterday, get this information? Washington Times:

The British engineer who was held three weeks by Islamic extremists in Iraq before being beheaded managed to escape shortly before his video-taped murder.

Apparently, one of his captors helped Ken Bigley escape in the town of Latifiya, southwest of Baghdad, where he was being held, the BBC reported Saturday.

But he was recaptured about 30 minutes later and soon thereafter beheaded while a video camera taped the killing, Iraqi officials told his family.

1 I don't think there was an escape attempt at all. This was made up hype to further pity Bigley's plight and make him out to look like a scared little rat, trying to escape from his hole. Sad, sad and sick. May Bigley find the peace for eternity that he didn't have the last weeks of his life. Can you imagine, getting ready to retire and live out your last golden years, only to have it replaced by this nightmare he had to endure the last several weeks? Further fuels my hatred of these sadistic bastards.

2 Or was it just another barbaric way of torturing Kenneth Bigley, by letting him escape then capturing him almost immediately. Shame on them, no God will ever accept what they do in his name; if that is what these barbarians believe let them wait till they are doomed to the bowels of the earth with no redemption from no God.

3 Could be, either way it was a horrific end to a tortorus couple of weeks for him in that cage they kept him in, worse than an animal at the zoo. Maybe the captor was "in" on it too? All bullshit, if you ask me. They planned on killing him from the beginning. I hope this isn't the start of a "new way" to torture the hostages? Letting them think they are escaping, then killing them within minutes of the escape? Truly sadistic fuckers. I hope Bush (or whoever wins) deals with them swiftly. It'll be interesting to see what happens after the election is over.

5 Total bullshit that Bigleys captors "let him go" as a final act of torture. With the yanks closing in on thier posistion they could not afford, even if they knew they could recapture him a hostage looking for salvation. I do believe that he did escape. He either befriended one of the captors (as it has been so frequently mentioned in media that he was a 'great' person to know or that Arab agents from Britain did manage to get into Zarqawi's cell and offer money. Look at beheading video and they are in a different building and not in usual black clothing. They did not want to kill him yet but they had to. I just hope that the British Government sends in the SAS/SBS or undercover James Bond style agents to rip the heads off those 'holy soldiers of Allah' or whatever contrived bollocks they justify there actions under. This is most definetely a case of "eye for an eye" or "severed head for a severed head". U bastards are gonna pay

6 I think the fact that, as was different to all the other beheadings, the speech made before the disgusting beheading of ken bigley was not made from a pre written piece of paper, indicates that it was a hurried job.
