1 I doubt the Sunnis are going to fall for that one again. I bet they participate. Boycotting an election is like throwing out he baby with the bath water. It does not help them in the long run it just hands power to the opponent.

2 Howie is correct for sure... the Sunni's see how their boycott backfired on them during the last election which they boycotted and saw how much they lost by not participating, so hopefully this time they have wised up and will join in and see how much a part of the new Iraqi government they can get involved in

4 What iraq needs is a secular strongman leader who will give rights to women, religious minorities, and put the hurt on the extremist shiites and kurds. He should use iraq's wealth to build up a considerable army for defense and to keep the peace and he should not take any guff from terrorists such as abu nidal. He should also accept any military assistance in the form of weapons and money from the United States and the west in general, and keep the oil flowing no matter how hard the islamists try to defeat him.
