The New Know-Nothings

Ed Morrissey at Captain's Quarters exposes the antics of Leftist virtual bookburners afflicting Amazon.com. Conservative titles have been systematically targeted for "egraffiti" including phony cover pictures and scurrilous "reviews". Captain Ed sums it up in his own inimitable fashion:

That's not the actions of people who have confidence in themselves. Those are the actions of a fearful, small-minded, vulgar group of Neanderthals who have suddenly seen Homo sapiens and realized that their days are numbered. These mouthbreathers cannot offer any new ideas, so instead of trying to compete with conservatives, they're busy with the electronic equivalent of sticking their fingers into their ears and shouting, "LA-LA-LA-LA, NO ONE CAN HEAR YOU!!" as loudly as possible.
Michelle Malkin is on the case, as well.

1 Give it time - we will soon here of conservative books and publications being defaced, destroyed and supressed at your local Barnes & Noble and Mall book stores. They are losing - and they are losing it. Stunts like these may turn them on for a few moments - but backfiring is inevitable - and I'm loving it.

2 I wish I could at least feign surprise, but I am genuinely amused.

3 I love a wordsmith. My hat is off to you for this succinct, blistering traducement of 'mouthbreathers'. "....who have suddenly seen Homo sapiens and realized their days are numbered." Bravo. Your sentiments are right on, and your words hit the bullseye.

4 The liberals just never waste an opportunity to make themselves look stupid. They so generously make it easy for the rest of us.

5 Pitiful and laughable describe these little people. They also do such infantile things as steal political signs and key automobiles that have "Dubya" stickers on them. I'm beginning to agree with some who say "liberalism is a mental disorder".

6 These are the "tolerant" and "open-minded" ones who care about "freedom of speech"...... except when you don't agree with them. The evidence does indeed continue to mount-- Liberalism is a mental disorder.

7 And these people are worried about being wiretapped? Why would we need wiretapping for them when all one has to do is stand on any street corner with a bag of popcorn and take in the show? Only an insecure, small-minded twat would treat a book review forum as their own political blog.

8 Oh I've got one you guys will love. I had a client go into a furious rage at me, (over the phone, of course, they never seem to have the nerve to do these things face to face), because I had told someone I wasn't a democrat when they asked, and he heard about it. I wasn't proselytizing, I just said "No, I'm not a Democrat.", and left it at that, but he got all stupid about it. Go figure. These people are sick in the head and should all be lock up or shot or sent to a leper colony or something.

11 Is this type of book review/politically blogging on Amazon only done by the left ? If so I guess that we should all pat ourselves on the back for being above that sort of behavior.

12 When I went over to Bluto's site to check I FOUND THAT AMAZON is one of his sponsors. This is like seeing the quote from the gay socialist at the top of this page !

13 John Amazon is everybody's sponsor! - time for you to get out of that cocoon!

Posted by: hondo at January 24, 2006 04:40 PM (3aakz)

14 John, Amazon is one of the victims in this. They are not the ones vandalizing their own ads.
