I also understand that one the jailers asked the Bible to the senior prom, but not the Quran. Is there no end to their perfidy?

aha! Amnesty International was right. Prison guards in the Soviet gulags also were notorious for disrespectfully tossing Korans onto bunks.

Guess the Miami jailers haven't gotten the Military's "politically correct" memo on Koran handling.
Let's close GITMO and move the terrorists to Miami's jurisdiction. Then they'll realize they've been at a tropical resort at GITMO.

You're close, but you need to fine tune it.
Try typing it out like this:
Bu$Hitler and the rethugniKKKans (led by D'Eichmann Cheney and KKKarl Rove). And be sure you mention Halliburton and the Patriot Act. You might want to set those off in all caps, like this:
HALLIBURTON! the PATRIOT act.
See? Now it looks like authentic DUmmocRat material.

Your false patriotism would be amusing if it were not so tragic.

Since when are we concerned with the rights of people who aren't even citizens of our fair country? They were concerned with our rights when they sent two innocent planes crashing into offices of hard working New Yorker's. Nor are the concerned with the rights of Christians in Arabia, since they routinely confiscate bibles, harrass christians, blow up 1000 year old buddha's, and cut off the heads of innocent people, and blow up innocent shoppers.
I recently re-read the constitution and realized that the right that we American's enjoy, are our right, due to sovereignty. They don't apply to anyone who's not a citizen. The first words of the consititution. "We, the People, of the United States of America." Not, "We the people of Mexico, or we the people of Canada, or we the people of the world."
And, since those people being held in jail were caught comitting crimes, they have no rights. A prison guard can toss their cell anytime he wants to, as they can pull them out and kick them into solitary.

Texan,
Like your former Governor, you do not believe prisoners have rights. Shame. Those people around the world who provide for your wild petroleum orgy are starting to rebel.

Downing Street's soft admonition of his unruly pal, Bush-Lies, is really cute. Don't you think?

I wonder if we will see this story on a Lib site, or if Durbin will bring it up? Probably not, since it doesn't fit in with their hate Bush and the military theme.

Many Americans loose their "Constitutional rights" everyday when convicted of a lesser crime than these NON - AMERICANs have committed. They were never under OUR constitution to begin with ... they are not even under the Geneva convention by their actions according to the actual agreement set out in Geneva.
All this lawyer/constitutional rights/geneva convention talk is just smoke and mirrors from those who agree with the terrorist and their agenda.

I know Canada is not quite the friend she used to be, but I think they are a long way from rebelling. The 'wild petroleum orgies' are just a rumor anyway. A vicious, vicious rumor spread by intolerant little bastards like you.

Jonathan: You're correct. The Geneva Conventions were great. Everybody thought they were valid and well thought out until the US applied them. Now they don't *like* the rules. Now the rules aren't good enough.

There is some slight-of-hand going on here. The pertinent issue is not the abuse of the Koran. It is the fact that papers related to the defense of the accused were removed from the cell. This is a gross example of impeding and compromising the ability of a defense to prepare their case in privacy. One wonders if the papers were turned over to the prosecution.
