Hahahahaha ***UPDATED***

Fox News reports that Cindy Sheehan was led out of the House gallery in handcuffs.

Apparently she tried to unfurl a banner.

From the Corner:

This from Sgt. Kimberly Schneider of U-S Capitol Police.... Cindy Sheehan was arrested in the gallery of the house floor tonight and charged with demonstrating in the Capitol--a misdemeanor. ...Sgt. Schneider says she was wearing a T-shirt with a slogan on it and was asked to cover it up. Sheehan did not cover it up and she was arrested. ....She is being processed at Capital Police hd and is expected to be released at some point tonight. The misdemeanor charge carries one year in jail.

What a pity she wasn't armed.

UPDATE:

Heh:

Liberal activists -- among them graying leftovers from the Vietnam-era antiwar movement -- plan to gather near the Capitol tonight, banging pots and pans to drown out President Bush's State of the Union address.

SHUT UP, BEDWETTERS, I CAN'T HEAR THE PRESIDENT!!!

Anyone else having a problem hearing?

UPdaTE 2:

Thank you Howie, for posting the transcript.

Due to the cacophonous din of moonbattery banging pots and pans 2000 miles away, I was unable to hear a word of tonight's SOTU. Cursed rabble rousers, they ruined my SOTU drinking game. One shot for every time the Democrats sit while the RethugliKKKans give a standing 'O'. Two shots for every close up of a Hillary "I just ate a raw lemon dipped in Bill's semen" look.

So I'm still sober, dammit.

BTW, did anyone notice the absence, albeit one small reference, of any real mention of North Korea?

Any ideas why? I haven't a clue, to be quite honest.

1 Anyone else see the story on the letter to Bush from our friends at CAIR?? Parvez Ahkmed actually lectures Bush on being careful not to offend muslims during his speech tonight. I think it's time to start insulting these people at every opportunity. Man, I'm real sick of that crap.

2 Its a pity she didn't get her chance to make a fool of herself, Rep Woosley, and the Left of the Democratic Party on National TV by pulling off her silly (and illegal) stunt. Damn those Capitol Policemen! Must be sane Democrats.

3 The only feeling they provoke is mirth.

5 >>>Cindy Sheehan was led out of the House gallery in handcuffs. lmao! She didn't even get the benefit of having her arrest televised. Cindy Sheehan has become a national joke.

6 Benefit! The benefit would have been ours! I'm a lil' pissed at the Capitol Police! Damn it! Rove's probably pissed too - hell! he probably had 10 private camcorders and boom mikes ready to go - just in case the MSM wised up! IT WOULD HAVE MADE MY NIGHT!

9 GITMO? Letterman? Belvue! I say we put her in a cell with Saddam and give them both pedestals to stand on...they can incoherently babble at each other! This would last like 30 minutes because neither of them ever wants anyone else to talk! They'd claw each other's eyes out within the hour!

12 it's offical folks, Cindy Sheehan is running for the United States Senate. ..And we believe her chances are excellent because unlike the millions of nasty Republicans, she represents the nice human beings in this world who actually care about the starving Americans in New Orleans. Hi I'm chairman of Cindy's New York election committe. You may have heard she was arrested before the State of the Union tonight. True enough, the lovely Ms. Sheehan was arrested this evening but she gave us quite a scare also, it seems that she was handled quite brutally when taken into custody, for what I ask? a tee shirt? [those way bad Republicans]. After she made bail, we insisted that she be examined, so we all piled into the Prius and took her down to the Bobby Mugabe triage clinic, specializing in full holistic life readings.. Dr.Ghoopdeyo Chevez assured us that in spite of the rough treatment Cindy was good to go for the Senate this year. ****************************************** next week.....Discovered Letters, by James Rubin. 'Christiane Amanpour, Let Me Count The Ways I envy your mustache' etc.

13 No North Korea because..... Hollywood can only sympathize with one group of stock villains at a time. Their nuclear threats aren't as compelling as Iran's nuclear threats. If K.J.I. threatens to blow up Israel instead of Japan, that may change. As far as we know, the middle east still isn't having the same humorous "rice shortage famine problem vs. nighbor with too many Cell Phones in Hair tint for Men problem." for balance. If North Korea is deemed an imminent threat, we'll just send in Tom Clancy & his video games...... again. Journalists have been ignoring North Korea this winter, mainly because if they cover the middle east, they can at least get a decent tan. and the number 1 reason..... ... Team America (**** yeah) already tossed im off a balcony revealing him to be a giant alien cockroach!

14 I saw the post arrest footage of her emerging from the police station. She wasn't her usual smiley self despite all the media attention. She knows her days as a lefty darling are numbered. It's all downhill from here.

15 Still another chance to "do the math" here. Registered comments to the Democrats response looks like a humble number, only one. Number of responses to our President's State of the Union Speech, still a rather low amount, only three. The clear and overwhelming leader in coments is CINDY SHEEHAN !!! with a total of 13. Congratulations fellow Jawa participants in assisting in this admitedly unscintific poll about which issues are most important to Ameicans.

16 Actually, he DID mention Nork, but only in passing, as part of a laundry list of oppressive regimes. Maybe he didn't want to give them too much free press?

19 Thanks for the laugh John. I have no idea what you're talking about, but it's funny.

20 It's alright Maxi, he doesn't know what he's talking about either.

21 I think John needs help with his mathematical fixation though. I can only imagine what Freud would have to say about that.

Posted by: Improbulus Maximus at February 01, 2006 11:34 AM (0yYS2)

22 What I was trying to show was that perhaps Cindy is more important to the right than she is to the left. Hard to tell what freud would make of that but i am sure he would have a few comments to make on fascination with death by hanging.
