Alito Confirmed, 58-42

Samuel Alito has been confirmed by the Senate to sit on the Supreme Court.

Our friends way, way, way out on the Left are bitterly disappointed. They could use a laugh, and what's funnier than South Park? Feel free to console them with the Cartman quote from this post:

Cartman: Yes! Yesss!! Oh, let me taste your tears, Libs! Mm, your tears are so yummy and sweet.

1 Their reactions to this are better than water in the desert. They're holding a gun to their own collective head and threatening to pull the trigger. I just want a cold beer, some pork rinds, and a recliner while I watch the show.

2 What's an Alito and how does this help me win Jessica Alba's heart?

3 I enjoyed reading some of the liberal tirades. As to be expected, many got off on a Bush tangent. One got to ranting about Iraq and said Bush was exposing the troops to bird flu in Iraq!! Ha ha ha!

4 Liberal tears of anguish are like tasty droplets of love honey. Yum! I can't get enough of it. Click over to Kos and watch them gnash their teeth. It's pure enjoyment.

5 Rusty, is it really Jessica's heart you want to get into?

6 58-42 final score - a solid win! I was a bit overly optimistic at 72-28, but that's OK. Again, indicates not the strength of Bush as much as indicating the weakness of the Dem Left. I take additional solice in the pre-vote of 72-25. Bush/Conservatism is holding its own with modest gains evident. The Left however is clearly taking a beating and continues to slide. Everything the Left's been up to and pushing these last several months, I've welcomed! I can see a losing strategy a mile away. I am an optimistic and happy guy - I know the road to success consists of 2 steps forward - 1 sideways - fall down - stagger - stagger - continue on. Now the Left on the otherhand ... give them an ice cream cone and they will smash it into their forehead - and then tell you how good it tastes.

7 Actually, someone I read made a good point: the 58-42 vote could actually be good for us. The Left will be screaming "Only 58? We could have succeeded with a filibuster!" and another purge begins. My Dark Master Rove is well pleased....

8 After having taking years of stinging from the Left, it is with the utmost pleasure that I enjoy their gnashing of the teeth and pulling of the hair. I suppose the thing that strikes me as the oddest of all is how serious the Left takes itself. Their allies in the NYT write one of the dumbest columns ever, coming out in support of Hamas, and they expect to be taken seriously. The Left is totally bankrupt.
