Yahoo News : KABUL, Afghanistan - A top al-Qaida leader whose links stretch from Afghan terror training camps to extremist networks operating throughout Europe has been detained in neighboring Pakistan and possibly handed over to American authorities, according to a U.S. law enforcement official.

Mustafa Setmarian Nasar, a Syrian who also holds Spanish citizenship, was captured in a November 2005 sting in the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta that left one person dead, said the American official, who declined to be identified further because the matter is sensitive.

A senior Pakistani intelligence official told The AP from the capital, Islamabad, that Nasar had been flown out of Pakistan to an undisclosed destination "some time ago."

"I only know that he is not here. But, I do know that Syrian authorities had also requested to get him back," said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of sensitive nature of his work.

A picture and short biography of the red-haired Nasar was recently removed from the U.S. government's Rewards for Justice Web site. Justice and State Department officials declined to say why Nasar was no longer profiled.

Note what all of these headlines have in common: the conflation of legal and illegal immigrants, as indicated by the phrase "immigrant rights". That phrase, as it applies to legal immigrants, is meaningless in the context of yesterday's protest activities.

Legal immigrants have specific legal rights and obligations, which are clearly spelled out in immigration regulations. Once a person becomes a US citizen, he or she is no longer an "immigrant", but a citizen of the United States of America on an equal footing with the bluest Mayflower bloodline.

By choosing to propagate this deliberate and obvious lie, the mainstream media have picked a side, and it isn't America's side.

Reuters Via ABC.net (ThatÂ’s the Aussie ABC): US and Iraqi forces killed more than 100 insurgents last week in the town of Ramadi, the US military says.

In a written statement, the military has confirmed two Iraqi soldiers died in the fighting and no Americans were killed.

Xinhua via English People : The U.S. military said on Friday that Iraqi security forces fought insurgents in Baquba, 65 km northeast of Baghdad, when militants waged a series of attacks on Thursday.

"Iraqi security forces quickly responded to a series of attacks on April 27 in Baquba in the eastern Diyala province, leaving 21 anti-Iraqi forces dead and capturing 43," the military said in a statement.

Ealier today I had this link saying coalition forces stomped 20 Taliban into the ground.

Guardian UK : KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (AP) - Coalition forces killed between 15 and 20 militants in fighting over the weekend in the southern Afghan province of Helmand, the U.S. military said Monday.

A coalition patrol on Saturday attacked militants carrying assault rifles and grenade launchers, who were ``moving with the intent to set up an ambush'' in the province's Sangin district, a military statement said.
No coalition forces were hurt, it said.

Reuters :"Our convoy using night-vision optics on their vehicle were able to see three vehicles preparing for an ambush," Canadian spokesman Major Marc Theriault said of the Saturday night clash.

The convoy was travelling to a remote base in the Sangin district of Helmand province when the insurgents were spotted, he said.

Canadian forces attacked and destroyed the three vehicles which contained 15 to 20 insurgents, he said. No Canadians were hurt.

Updated : Canadians targeted by the enemy looking for revenge and thankfully none were injured. The terrorists did manage to murder one innocent old man though. Way to go Taliban murderers of helpless old men. Your cowardly method of attack reaps you shame.

Canada.com :KABUL (CP) - Three Canadian coalition members were hit by an improvised explosive device - or roadside bomb - near Kabul on Tuesday, but escaped without injury, the military said.

The unidentified attacker was driving a white car that exploded about 100 metres from the convoy, spraying shrapnel over a wide distance, Parwani said.

Several reports said Canadian soldiers were also involved in that attack, although none were injured.

He(Zarqawi) has crapped out using his own strengths against the Americans, and now he wants to play directly into American strength in a stand-up fight. It seems that after their threats, Hirsi AliÂ’s cowardly neighbors supported the Islamists by filing suit to have her evicted. It seems they blamed her stand against Islamic intolerance for making the neighborhood unsafe. Rather than, you know, blame the murderous bastards themselves.
