Terrorist Confesses to Beheading Shosei Koda, 116 Others

The AP reports that Al Qaeda leader Hussein Fahmi has confessed to the beheading murders of 116 in Iraq. Among Fahmi's victims is Shosei Koda, the Japanese civilian whose gruesome beheading video was posted on the internet. In it, Koda's severed head is placed on top of an American flag. Al Qaeda had earlier demanded that Japan remove its contingent of less than 200 engineers sent to Iraq to help rebuild.

Fahmi is reportedly a foreigner of Egyptian and Palestinian descent who was captured two months ago in Baghdad on a tip from a resident.

The Japanese embassy in Tokyo has unofficially confirmed the story, although the investigation into the veracity of the confession is still being made.

It is people like Hussein Fahmi that makes us hope that there is a hell. If you have seen the Shosei Koda beheading video or images from it, you will pray that there is a hell too. Koda was in Iraq as a tourist, and ended up a victim of Islamist brutality.

In related good news via Traderrob, 61 al Qaeda suspects have been arrested near Fallujah. Let's hope Abu Musab al Zarqawi is next to be captured. more...

Al Qaeda Leader in Bangladesh is Arrested

The head of the Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) terror organization, Shiekh Maulana Abdur Rahman, has been captured after a 48 hour stand off. The JMB is al Qaeda's affiliate organization in Bangladesh. Rahman is one of three leaders of the JMB and is said to be the 'spiritual leader' of that group.

Good riddance. Bill Rogio has extensive coverage.

Rebel Leader in Nigeria Not Buddhist Monk, Big Fan of Osama bin Laden

How can I ever thank da Oyster enough for pointing out this article. Every single article I've seen about the Ijaw rebels who have recently begun attacking oil platforms in the Niger delta is careful to make the point that the Ijaw people are generally Christians or animists. It's true. They are.

So, when Ijaw rebels begin to take hostages, we are to draw the conclusion that since most Ijaw are Christians or animists then the group responsible for the kidnappings must also be composed of Christians and animists. Except that mostly doesn't count in this case:

If the rising cost of the world's oil can be blamed on any one man, a portly African militia leader with a poster of Osama bin Laden glowering from his wall is the most likely culprit.

Al-Haji Mujahid Dokubo Asari, the leader of a motley collection of gunmen styling themselves the Niger Delta People's Volunteer Force, managed to push the world oil price above $50 a barrel last year....

"Our struggle is like those in Chechnya, Kosovo, Palestine and South Africa. That is how we are going to fight. We are not going to just sit down. We are capable of defending ourselves."

Mr Asari, 40, who shuns military fatigues and sports a trilby and a silver-topped cane, is an unabashed admirer of bin Laden. Songs praising his "gallantry" echo from a stereo in his spacious home in Port Harcourt, the Delta's largest city.

Yup. Those pesky Christians and animists are the most likely culprit behind the string of attacks on oil platforms, the series of hostage takings, and the rise in world oil prices. FYI-Haj is a name taken by Muslims who have made the trip to the infidel-free city of Mecca.

U.S. Consulate Bombed in Pakistan, American Killed

President Bush is scheduled to visit Pakistan in a few days. Keep an eye on Pakistan. Should anything happend to the present dictator, Musharraf, it would be disastrous for the U.S. Pakistan has nuclear weapons, is absolutely filled with extremists, and has a history of supporting terrorism.

In late 2004, a bomb ripped through a Marriot hotel in Islamabad.

AKI:

Initial inquiries into Thursday's suspected suicide boimbing outside the US consulate in the southern Pakistani city of Karachi which killed at least four people — including an American diplomat - suggest that the explosive was packed in a Pakistan Navy vehicle. However, the reports have yet to be officially verified. Sources told Adnkronos International (AKI) that several underground militant groups had recently threaten to commit acts of violence after the arrest of some of their members. The attack comes just days before US president George W. Bush is scheduled to visit Pakistan.

The blast occurred at 8.50 am near the Marriot hotel and the US consulate in Karachi. The area where the explosion took place was a car park reserved for hotel staff, and is normally off-limits to outsiders. At the time of explosion, the only car that did not belong to the any member of the hotel staff, was that of the Pakistan Navy. The blast created a crater some 3 metres wide.

The American consulate in Karachi has yet to comment on the blast but Bush who is currently in India as part of his first visit since he became president in 2001, has confirmed that one foreign service officer was killed in the blast. He also said that the attack would not affect his visit to Pakistan.

Vital Perspectives has continuing coverage of the unfolding events.

Great. It's not bad enough that we won't do enough to discourage illegal immigration, we have to subsidize it as well. Brilliant.

Ted Turner-Jane Fonda's Menage a Trois (and Hot Carls)

For the record, no I didn't know how to spell menage a trois. Curiously, some of my readers & fellow-bloggers seem very familiar with such terms. Almost as if they use the phrase quite often.

So, in the interest of linguistics, is it hot Carl or hot Karl?

If you must know, go here and read the comments: Jane Fonda-Ted Turner Threesome Sex Tape.

Arab-American Woman Blasts Islamist Cleric On al-Jazeera TV

Dr. Wafa Sultan is an Arab-American psychologist. On February 21 she confronted a radical Islamist cleric on al-Jazeera television. When I say confronted, I mean she bitch-slapped him. In the process Dr. Sultan demolished the idea of a "clash of civilizations" consigning radical Islam to the middle ages. She also mentioned that even after the Holocaust "no Jews blew themselves up in German restaurants".

Watch the video here. The clip is subtitled in English, but listen with the sound on anyway to get the full effect of how Wafa dominated the conversation.

Excerpt:

The clash we are witnessing around the world is not a clash of religions or a clash of civilizations, It is a clash between two opposites, between two eras. It is a clash between a mentality that belongs to the Middle Ages and another mentality that belongs to the 21st century.
I have to believe that al-Jazeera regretted booking this woman.

Jane Fonda-Ted Turner Threesome Sex Tape (videos we'd pay NOT to see)

Last year the Jawa Report brought you news that Jane Fonda had participated in some three-way action at the insistence of the husband of her youth, Roger Vadim. Let's just say the thought of a young Jane Fonda, straight out of Barbarella, with another woman is not one that is too unpleasant.

Yeah, yeah, I know. Jane Fonda is a traitor. But, come on, the chick was a swinger baby! We'll call that the good Jane Fonda treasonous manage a trois. (As opposed to that other kind of manage a trois, which is always bad--you know, like the kind in Chasing Amy)

When does a Jane Fonda treasonous manage a trois get bad?

Fast forward to the way-past-her-prime Mrs. Ted Turner Jane Fonda days. Now try hard not to imagine a managa a trois which includes the mustached one. Now try even harder not to imagine that manage a trois featuring an ex-hippie/aging aerobics instructor with a man who believed he could single-handedly end the Cold War with a pathetic substitute for the Olympics--on video.
