Who is more anti-American: Yale or Harvard?

Yale. Hands down. After all, Monty Burns did go to Yale (class of 1914).

Where's Rusty?

Had a long weekend with the family. Who would have thought it would be more enjoyable than, say, blogging? Might go fishing later today and test the hypothesis that it, too, might just be funner than blogging.

The AP Attempts to Revive Cindy Sheehan

The Associated Press is running an update article on Cindy Sheehan. She's a hard leaning lefty at this point (I know; that's putting it mildly) and is doing things that I'm sure her own son would despise her for. I'm not going to quote the article but I'll just show you a few keywords from it to give you some idea as to what the article is all about:

SAN FRANCISCO ... leftist ... Berkeley ... Peace and Conflict Studies ... Hugo Chavez ... "Fahrenheit 911" ... Michael Moore ... Michael Stipe ... CODEPINK

That's nine keyword phrases that should make anyone wonder just what Cindy Sheehan is all about. She's affiliated with America haters, communists, hippies, and nut jobs; kinda makes you wonder what her moral standing is.

If you want to see Cindy Sheehan in action I'd suggest reading LT SMASH's most recent articles on the mother that spits on her own son's grave:

Smiling Bob Enzyte

Enzyte Bob(Kansas City, MO) Cincinnati entrepreneur Steve Warshak, the brains behind the "natural male enhancement" product Enzyte, has agreed to stop making unsupportable health claims and to refund money to thousands of customers who believe they were defrauded.

The primary complaint was that customers only agreed to a "free" 30-day trial of pills but were automatically billed for additional shipments. Customers also had great difficulty canceling shipments and getting refunds.

Warshak's companies include Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals, Lifekey Inc., Boland Naturals Inc., Warner Health Care and Wagner Nutraceuticals.

Australia to Crack Down on Hoons

From NEWS.com.au:

Tougher anti-hoon laws planned
March 06, 2006
THE West Australian Government is planning tougher anti-hoon legislation in a bid to crack down on road rage and reckless driving.

Premier Alan Carpenter said today that amendments to the state's anti-hoon laws would be introduced into Parliament during its first session this year.
Police would be able to impound the cars of drivers who endangered other road users or caused criminal damage to their vehicles as part of road rage incidents, he said.

In a possibly related story, a recent poll shows that nearly two thirds of Australians believe there is underlying racism in the country.

Whether or not the story is related depends on just what the hell a "hoon" is.

Good News And Bad News

Fellow Munuvian Mad Mikey is doing better.

Fellow Munuvian Delftsman could still use some prayers.

In the interest of levity, I feel the need to note that these types of things tend to happen in threes.

Rusty, you're screwed.

Best wishes and many prayers to both Mikey and Delfts, and to their families.

What if They Gave a Civil War and Nobody Came?

Ralph Peters of the New York Post has been scouring Baghdad, looking for the civil war. As Peters writes, it's being hidden well:

I'M trying. I've been trying all week. The other day, I drove another 30 miles or so on the streets and alleys of Baghdad. I'm looking for the civil war that The New York Times declared. And I just can't find it.

Maybe actually being on the ground in Iraq prevents me from seeing it. Perhaps the view's clearer from Manhattan. It could be that my background as an intelligence officer didn't give me the right skills.

Crackdown On Leakers Has MSM Panties All Bunched Up

The Washington Post reports that:

The Bush administration, seeking to limit leaks of classified information, has launched initiatives targeting journalists and their possible government sources. The efforts include several FBI probes, a polygraph investigation inside the CIA and a warning from the Justice Department that reporters could be prosecuted under espionage laws.
Excellent news! It's past time for such a crackdown, as recent leaks of classified material to the New York Times amply demonstrate. more...

Israeli Anti-Ballistic Missile System

Arrow 2 anti-ballistic missile(Jerusalem) In the aftermath of the Gulf War, Israel embarked on a project to develop a first-line missile defense system. The result is the Arrow 2.

From JPost.com:

Israel's Arrow 2 anti-ballistic missile system is capable of intercepting and destroying any Iranian missiles, even were they to carry nuclear warheads, a high-ranking IDF officer told The Jerusalem Post on Thursday.

While Iran is Israel's most serious strategic and existential threat, the country, he said confidently, was sufficiently protected by the Arrow, which plays a major role in maintaining Israel's protective envelope.

"We will shoot all of [Iran's missiles] down," he told the Post. "The Arrow knows how to intercept the Shihab missile."

The Arrow 2 can detect even a missile carrying a split warhead and armed with decoys. Last December, it successfully intercepted an incoming rocket simulating an Iranian Shihab-3 missile. Two Arrow batteries with hundreds of missiles are said to be operational, one protecting Tel Aviv and one protecting the northern part of Israel.

Fear And Loathing In The Alternate Universe

Nice thread from the DU.

Sooper Special Short Bus Quote (expletives not deleted, they're not my expletives, I use asterisks. Here, anyway.):

To the conservative fuck wads that are lurking here. First off let me say you are all cowards. Michelle Malkin is a racist bitch. Rush is a coward who did not serve in the military neither did that limp-dicked Sean Hannity. You people are the most pathetic excuses for human beings and you will have your day to answer for the atrocities and lies that you have perpetrated. You are all cowards. The entire planet despises your disgusting ilk and you will pay. I understand that as most of your parents were indeed siblings your inability to be decent human beings who contribute to society rests in your defective genes. Now you may return to your hate and racism. I once had a "Bad Cat" who would not behave. I put him down because he was diseased and I didn't give it a second thought. You inbred sacks of shit, return to your basements or holes or wherever you crawled from.

Hillary Didn't Know Bill Was Coaching the UAE on Ports Deal?

Guess Hill missed the giant deposits going into their bank account. From MSNBC:

Hillary Clinton, a leading opponent of DP World's takeover of some US port operations, was this week forced to admit that she did not know her husband had advised Dubai leaders on how to handle the growing dispute.

But former President Bill Clinton's ties to Dubai and the United Arab Emirates should not have come as a surprise to his New York senator wife.

Mrs Clinton's own senatorial financial disclosure forms reveal that her husband earned $450,000 giving speeches in Dubai in 2002.

Officials from the UAE also donated between $500,000 and $1m to fund Mr Clinton's presidential library in Arkansas.

It was part of an effort by the emirates, said a person close to UAE officials, to forge a close relationship with a former US president who is influential and highly regarded in the region.

America's Worst President Jumps the Shark

Actually President Peanut might have done that a few years back, but he hasn't left much doubt about it now.

From The New York Sun:

President Carter personally called Secretary of State Rice to try to convince her to reverse her U.N. ambassador's position on changes to the U.N. Human Rights Commission, the former president recalled yesterday in a talk in which he also criticized President Bush's Christian bona fides and misstated past American policies on Israel.

Mr. Carter said he made a personal promise to ambassadors from Egypt, Pakistan, and Cuba on the U.N. change issue that was undermined by America's ambassador, John Bolton. "My hope is that when the vote is taken," he told the Council on Foreign Relations, "the other members will outvote the United States."

The UN Human Rights Commission has become a joke, whose sole function appears to be passing resolutions condemning Israel for alleged human rights violations. more...

Just Who Is The REAL Terrorist Here?

Michelle Malkin posts more about the *koff* isolated incident *koff* at UNC-Chapel Hill. In her post, she quotes a local ABC affiliate thus:

The driver of an SUV that plowed into a group of pedestrians at UNC-Chapel Hill on Friday told police it was retribution for the treatment of Muslims around the world, according to ABC News.

Sure, the driver's name is Mohammed (PBUH) Reza Tehracrazyman or something like that.

But only a blind person, I mean, sight challenged, er sunglass at night wearing people would miss who the real terrorist in this story is.

The SUV.

Sure, Mohammed (Muhammad? Mahomet? PBUH) may have unwittingly swerved into a few people in the name of his peaceful religion, but what is that compared to the untold thousands the SUV he was driving deliberately maimed, tortured and killed just by running and spewing its fatal exhaust into the air? Not to mention the millions of deaths forthcoming due to global warming.

Muhammed (Mohammed? Mahomet? Imhotep? PBUH) should be given a medal. I firmly believe that rather than deliberately trying to mow down infidels in the name of his peaceful religion, which is a religion of peace, he was trying murder his SUV before it could kill, and kill again.

Cherry Creek School District Student Comments on Jay Bennish

Just when you thought Conservative Thinking couldn't build on the Jay Bennish story anymore here comes another doozie from the Cherry Creek School District. It's not an official of the district and it's probably not a teacher but more than likely a student of Cherry Creek Schools.

"Sam" left a comment today on one of our Jay Bennish articles. Apparently, Mr. Bennish doesn't inspire free thinking like he and his supporters believe:

I think people are over Exaugurating something little, let the guy have his freedom of speech, hes just teaching the kids to think for themselves and giving his own oppinions. All you damn people are to stupid to realize bush is like hitler

Emphasis mine. However, the reason I think it's a student that wrote this is due to the horrific grammar and spelling skills (apparently too much time spent on "geography" and not English).

This is quite disturbing for two reasons, 1) apparently the Jay Bennish indoctrination program is working and 2) my daughter will be in the Cherry Creek School District this fall.

The details on "Sam" as far as IP address go are as follows:
Translated Name: ccsd-26-214.ccsd.k12.co.us
IP Address: 166.113.26.214

I'm going to send this along to the Cherry Creek Schools to voice my concern on my daughter's behalf.
