First this news that the Pro-Syrian government in Lebanon collapsing--again. And now this from DEBKA via Charles Johnson:

My question is. Are we once again going to stand by and watch islamofacists move in and subdue Lebanon? Or now that we have a President with balls does the Islamic bullies get the message?
I think they get the message. Lebanon will be free to return to what they once were. The financial center of the middle east.
George Bush. The savior of the middle east and perhaps a lot more. Maybe our own asses.

What? Lebanon can't function without Syria in their now? Well, it figures - take them all out and the govt will collapse. Now they'll probably be a small civil war to see who actually will run the country. Those Lebanose that left are cowards, unless I'm missing the point.

George W. encouraged armed opponents to attack U.S. troops under his command on national television. That, my friend is the ultimate cowardice.

Collin,
the expression "bring it on" was merely a way to show defiance. He wasn't "encouraging" people to attack our troops, and there was nothing "cowardly" about it.

Bush is good at showing defiance - that is for sure. He is the most protected politician in the world, sending U.S. troops into harm's way and then egging on the armed opposition to attack them. That is the most cowardly act I can imagine.

and when Bush stood in front of the sign "Mission Accomplished" that was the end of the world too.
His statement didn't precipitate attacks on our troops because they were coming anyway.
And a president having bodyguards doesn't make him a coward.
I'm trying to treat you with respect, but so far you insist on abusing that respect by subjecting me to an endless series of bumperstickers and platitutes.
