I Caused Hurricane Katrina

Environmentalism as a religious creed is the new black of the Left. It's becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish between religious nuts like this guy who says Katrina is God's retribution for the South's racism and environmental-mystics like the Minister of the Environment in Germany who blame every natural disaster on global warming, which, as we all know, is Chimpy-McBush's fault.

And I thought the Kennedy's were Roman Catholic? Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., though, looks like he has converted to the cult of blame-every-bad-thing-on-Bush-induced-global-warming cult.

Never mind that none of these prophets who claim to know the mind of God/Gaia/Mother Earth (insert deity here) bothered to check out the racial identity of those hardest hit by the hurricane or check out NOAA charts tracking the number of hurricanes over the years.

Somewhere, I'm sure, Fred Phelps is reading God's mind and finding that the true blame for Katrina's devestation rests squarely on the shoulders of the gays.

So, who or what is responsible for hurricane Katrina? I am. It was either suffer a terrible hurricane or blind. God told me so.

1 Step in line there. You're only a Jawa. Darth Rove is at fault - he figures that increased storm severity can only help the US economy, slow housing price spirals, line the coffers of the oil barons in the US, worry the oil ticks, and get Hugo Chavez to think twice about breathing the wrong way. He had this all planned out years ago. I saw it in a movie once (or a few times) It was a plot by SPECTRE. Or maybe it was it that dude from the cheesy Avengers movie. Oh wait. Both Avengers and James Bond movies had one Sean Connery in them. He's behind the disaster. What was I thinking. You gotta connect the dots.

3 Actually, I believe G-d is still angry that the Bills were unable to win even one in the 4 chances they had. I don't blame him. I'd state this is particularly excessive form of retribution, but then who am I to judge?

4 RFK Jr definitely lives down to the family's name. He wrote a wild screed in Vanity Fair blaming Bush's reelection on Fox News & railing against conservative hegemony on talk radio. Because of course it couldn't be that voters simply rejected liberal ideas. And it never occurs to him that conservative commentators initially turned to AM talk radio - at that time the cellar of the communications industry - because their voices were shut out of the MSM. Proving once again that liberals despise populism

5 Hey Rusty, thanks for the link. It's greatly appreciated.

6 Right on the money beautiful, you nailed it. Liberals, a.k.a Marxists, a.k.a. loyal supporters of murdering dictators everywhere, hate the very democracy they purport to idealise. It's one thing to name yourself a democrat, it's quite another to be truly democratic though.

7 Next time a liberal says we caused global warming and goes into how we can fix it, ask them how we can stop the 'big one' coming to the San Andreas fault.

9 And those four hurricanes that devastated Texas in one year back in the late 1800s? That was because Bush's ancestors were driving bigger horses. They fart more. Dude, I said fart.

10 The Germans are about to catch the French in the dumn ass contest. They say that the US uses too much fossil fuel. Well, you dumn ass, have you looked at a globe lately? The US is many times larger than Germany, and we are forced to go longer distances for everything we do. Duh! Now let me deal with the enviro-wackos. The reason we have a gasoline shortage is the fault of these idiots. They have prevented the constrution of numerous refineries, and they have the audacity to complain about the price of gasoline. They have stymied the effort to drill new oil and gas wells in the US, yet they criticize how much oil and gas we import. One must conclude they are brain dead, yet we have leaders who continue to listen to these "people". If one good thing comes out of all this, it is my hope that the enviromentalists will finally be completely discredited. It is their fault that we have to worry about oil, therefore causing us this Iraq mission. We can't expand the use nuclear energy, we can't drill for oil and gas, and their only solution to the problem is to conserve. Well, friends in the wacko zone, how can we conserve as a nation when we have 3 million illegal aliens coming into the country each year? Even when we conserve, our usage goes up because of the influx of illegals. Why don't you address this? Rant over.

12 Well...there are also those who believe that the tsunami in Asia was triggered by the CIA to retaliate against Muslims (hahaha, yeah right) so maybe the Muslims in Indonesia got their hands on our evil black box and sent some nasty shit back our way.

19 How in the hell can a man cause a storm? Oh what power he must have. Bush? well he is president I think because he took much of the southern states in the election. People, That is who you wanted. As for those in some European countries who blame this on God and Bush: Get a God of your own to worship and a freaking dental plan before opening up your bigs mouths. When is the lack of self sufficient means going to go where the blame belongs? (The person who lacks). This commentary is not meant for the poor, sick, and newly born. Remember most of the world would not have been able to respond as quickly as we did- to OUR crisis. Despite what propaganda is relayed by CNN, Our country will overcome w/o the help of any outside help.Anyway to all of you: May God bless. Depending upon where you are from, may EVOLUTION bless.

20 Let's get some things clear here: First, Jesusland Joe, Dumb is spelled with a "B", not an "N". You look pretty dumb yourself when you can't spell it properly. Secondly, global warming is being caused by cracks in the earth's magnetic field, which allows sun activity to penetrate our environment and warm the waters. Outcome: more hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes, etc. This is scientifically proven! Thirdly, the reason for our involvement in Iraq is multifold: 1) for oil purposes, 2) to promote order in the middle east to instigate the New World Order, and 3)to help Israel enact a Zionist state. Sadly, these are topics the mainstream TV, cable and newspapers (run by powerful corporate globalist families)will NEVER mention. I guess conspiracy theorists will have the last laugh when the world is in total CHAOS. I suggest go Libertarian and take back this country from the coporate Illuminati.

21 Thanks Wise Up, for a bit of sense here. Everybody is ranting and raving, fine, everybody is upset. Here's my bit. Some people refuse to believe in global warming, and bloody hell, if this isn't a sign (from God even!) I don't know what would be. But for heaven's sake (no pun intended), would everybody get off their high republican/texan horse and admit that the Government has reacted very poorly to this natural disaster, and especially with previous warning about its potential?? If the richest country in the world can't mobilize itself quick enough to help its OWN people, then what the fuck is everybody so goddamn proud of? Wake up and smell the coffee guys.

22 Gwendolyn Fish, you are right on (you too, Wise Up). So what do all you nay-sayers think about climate change and global warming, that's it's all made-up bull crap from environmentalist nuts? Yes, there are environmentalist freaks who blow things out of proportion... there are also religious freaks, and crazy dinosaur fart freaks, and I-think-I'm-the-greatest-because-I'm-American freaks who all have their own theories of why this all happened. But all in all, it's nature. And YES, humans are fucking up and making nature shit on us more than it should. It's not a question of who to blame, but to start changing our ways so that shit like this doesn't keep happening. Am I right? Or am I right...
