Tin Soldiers and Schmidt is coming
Also today in Ohio there is a special election with two pretty good candidates. IÂ’m not from Ohio so IÂ’ll keep my nose out of it. Well maybe not.
We have a conservative Marine Corps Democrat VS a established well rounded Republican candidate. ItÂ’s a pretty conservative district too. I think Hackett has a chance but for that fact that all the moderates that might vote for him will be at the mall ignoring politics and running up credit card debt. So I think Schmidt will probably win. IÂ’m jealous Ohio has two pretty good candidates here. Good race to watch, well the about the only one to watch right now.

Hackett is no conservative democrat. There was a story about him on ABC news Sunday evening. He called the president a chickenhawk. Seems like sort of a punk.

Californiaaaaaa!!!!!
I’ve been getting an email every so often from California conservative. I must say that having the time to review and get up a post for me is a pain. Lately I noted that the emails have stopped. Can’t say I blame him. I mean he has taken the trouble to email me and I’ve failed to give it proper attention. One of my projects this week besides sucking air on the blog is to link up and give credit to those that have helped me in my new blogging adventure. So guest posters and regulars email me because I’m working on a post for Sunday to give all of you the credit you deserve for helping out the Jawa while Rusty has been away. I don’t want to miss anyone. So send me your name and site url if you have one and I’ll shamelessly give you a plug this weekend. Right, middle, way right, sort of kind of left I don’t care just no far left crap. Yes the far left scares me far more than the far right. How many times can I use the word “far”. Far more than I think I should. I should look further for more words to replace far or derivatives thereof.
So on to the California Conservative.
It seems Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has been having a tough time of late. The new has kind of work off and now the real work is going on. Hey I can relate Arnold. We all get those days where nothing goes right. It seems the Gov is getting some support from an unlikely source here. Check it out to see who it is.

We get
60 new immigrants every hour, most of them illegal, yet people blithely complain about things like traffic congestion, poor-preforming schools, low wages, rising costs and high taxes, and gangs - but it's illegal immigration that is THE burden underpinning and affecting ALL the state's systems.

Moonbats in the Academy Promote the Grand 9/11 CIA/Mossad Conspiracy
Many of us that teach at the University level belong to various forums or listserves that are set up to foster discussion and keep each other up to date with current research. The following is from The American Society for International Law's listserve. It was forwarded to me by a colleague who remarks that while the Society's discourse is the mundane kind of anti-Americanism generally found in academia, the level of discussion has reached new lows of moonbattery lately.

Subject: 9/11 - Pentagon
Dear All,
Please forgive me for re-generating a widely discussed topic. Since 2001, there had been numerous documentaries on different tele channels as to how the planes hit the Towers and the Pentagon. Innthis regard, the movie clips of the planes hitting the towers are very clear. But so far as the jet hitting the Pentagon is concerned, i have never seen a single picture or movie clip showing even a single piece of a plane found from the debris in Pentagon. Does anyone have any information regarding this ??
Regards.
Faisal.
Many in the forum took umbrage to Faisal, but his remarks must have forced the tin-foil off at least one member of The American Society for International Law. Especially forceful in his defense against this insanity is Dr. Rich Edwards, of the University of Toledo, referred to in the text below. Mr. Davidson is a human rights activist, born in Israel but living in Iceland. I've deleted references to his website, a left-wing conspiracy site wrapped in a facade of human-rights, since the man clearly is looking for attention:

I fully empathize with the difficulty Rich Edwards has to believe that the official story on 9/11 may be untrue. It is certainly easier to believe that a bearded Muslim in an Afghan cave who, we are told, issued blood-curling threats against Americans and Jews, would mastermind 9/11 than slick American politicians with their slick assistances who speaking buddy-buddy with journalists. Nevertheless, those who have studied US foreign policy within the last century, cannot fail to perceive a long trail of deception, covert operations, attempts at assassinating foreign leaders, unwarrented and extremely bloody wars against other nations and incredible reckless of American
lives expended in those wars. This does not necessarily mean that the current administration enginerred 9/11, but it means that we cannot simply dismiss such a scenario out of hand because we find it difficult to stomach. There is much circumstancial evidence that suggests official complicity in 9/11.
Let us also remember than most mass murderers in dark suits were and are charming psychopaths (see my collection "Charming international "criminals" at www.xxxxxxxxx ), able to create a positive image of themselves and escape scrutiny.
Finally, I urge Rich Edwards to take more seriously those serious researchers who have unearthed hundreds of anomalies, misrepresentations, omissions and lies in the official account of 9/11. Their work deserves more than a sweeping dismissal. What if they are right ?
Respectfully,
Elias Davidsson
But there's more from Mr. Davidsson. Much, much more. Read to the last paragraph where Davidsson, a Jew, implicates the Mossad in 9/11.

Mr. Edwards refers, as it seems to statements made by the then Solicitor General Olson regarding alleged phone conversations between himself and his wife who was allegedly flying on AA77 and crashing on the Pentagon. Olson is a person who said in the Supreme Court that under some circustances, US officials are justified to lie. His statements including this statement are no proof that AA77 flew on the Pentagon. No court would accept his statement as positive proof of fact. The US government has not presented much more compelling evidence, such as photographs of wreckage and video recordings of the flying object, let alone did it produce any remains of the alleged hijackers of that flight. Yet it had almost four years to produce such evidence.
The US government had ample time and opportunity to produce positive proof that the named 19 Muslims actually boarded the aircraft which they allegedly hijacked. It had ample time and opportunity to explain why WTC nr. 7 collapsed at the speed of a free-falling stone. Yet instead of producing incriminating evidence, the US government thwarted investigations into this monumental crime, failed to convict a single person for complicity in that crime, failed to charge alleged Al Qaeda leaders under its custody, announced its disinterest in chasing Osama bin Laden and gagged people who have witnessed various aspects of the crime. Does any reader claim that I invent these facts? Aren't these facts sufficiently disturbing to cause pause forthought?
It is facile to knock down the strawman that "no Jews were killed in the 9/11 attack". Certainly this claim is wrong. Many Jews died in the attacks. This claim can, however, be traced back to its origin. The origin of the story was a report in Jerusalem Post of 12 September 2001, that the Israeli Foreign Embassy was concerned about the fate and whereabouts of 4,000 Israelis [that is Israeli citizens] believed to be in the area of the World Trade Center in New York. It was not explained in the report from where the figure 4,000 came, nor was the figure denied later. In the final count not a single Israeli employee of the World Trade Center died on 9/11. According to the New York Times, one Israeli, a casual visitor, died in the WTC on 9/11 and two Israeli died as passengers in the allegedly hijacked planes. We still are owed an explanation of the discrepancy between the figure 4,000 and 0.

...and where did they hide the plane that was suppossed to have been used in the Pentagon attack if it was not slammed into the Pentagon? And what did they do with the people that were suppossed to have been on the flight?
...and if the Bush Administration went to all this trouble to fabricate PART of the 9/11 attack, somehow coordinating with the other three planes, WHY did they not bother to plant some WMD in Iraq after taking the country over? (Made with new equipment stamped "Made in France")
...and if the Bush administration is staging things, why stage 9/11 the way they did? Why not just set off a swiped Russian nuke in manhatten and clear the voting rolls of a large number of Democratic voters?
...and if you believe that the Bush administration would do something like this, WHY on earth are you writing about it on the net, because one could assume that if they are willing to murder thousands for a yet unexplained agenda, what makes you think that your safe?

The other is a leftist friend I met while overseas. He tells me of the smoke rising from the Pentagon that day.

Oh heck I believe all of it. Yes I think I saw Bush himself eject just before one of the planes hit and stop off at a diner somewhere in NYC. I know it's kind of sketchy. He was just about two pixels on my 13 " 1975 b/w RCA portable TV I gots there in the trailer. Plus the little woman walked past my rabbit ears just as I was about to get a good look. But I'm pretty sure it was him. It all fits see he can fly sort of and surely a president can get an AA 767 with ejector seat from M over there at our ally Britain's 007 outfit.

" But so far as the jet hitting the Pentagon is concerned, i have never seen a single picture or movie clip showing even a single piece of a plane found from the debris in Pentagon. Does anyone have any information regarding this ??"
For what it's worth to the question of no photographic evidence of a plane crashing into the Pentagon on 9-11, I offer this:
http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/911_pentagon_eyewitnesses.html
So, if a photo can't be found, will eyewitness accounts matter?
Some people refuse to see the truth for what it simply is. There was a plane. It was flown into a big strong building. It vaporized. People died. And this nut demands to see a plane lying there in the wreckage.
I am amazed.

Self-Promotion
Part of having the keys to Rusty's site is the ability to post links to your own posts. I've stayed away from this . . . until now.
There is much "controversey" over President Bush giving a recess appointment to John Bolton. I've looked into the future and heard what went on at the Ambassador's first 'Meet and Greet'.
Hopefully the tyrannical rule of Howie and Mad Dog Vinnie will allow this self-promotion. If not, I shall delete their posts for I am just that evil.

Chad:
If there's already a link to your blog on Rusty's blogroll then other links are just redundant (at least for purposes of the TTLB Ecosystem ranking). If you want people to read a particular piece you wrote, then I assume it's because you feel the piece relevant to some current topic. I don't think Rusty would object to your posting the entire piece on Jawa Report, but the simpler solution is to just post the link, as you have done.
If you know Rusty at all then the idea that he'd be opposed to "self-promotion," especially within the blogosphere, is ridiculous. Dude, get a grip.

The Perfect Answer To IslamoFascism
While putzing around the blogosphere I found this image that screamed out at me as the weapon of choice for terror cells and the neighborhoods that support them.

(image from Time Hath Found Us)
It might be a little bit of overkill (pun intended), but I think it would only take one or two before we'd see some mosques shut down in a heart beat(or over the lack of one).
If you fund a terrorist, you are a terrorist(and you get a MOAB), if you hide a terrorist, you are a terrorist (and you get a MOAB), if you offer assistance of any kind to a terrorist, you are a terrorist (and you get a MOAB), and if you are a terrorist, you get two MOABS, one for your immediate location, and one for your country of origin.
I know, it's getting a little late for me too! I'm just mad as hell and I'm sick and tired of hearing the word Islam and everything about it.
A great big hat tip to Tom Spence at Time Hath Found Us, who has his own message for the image.

In local races where I know people I tend to go more by the person than by the party.
From my ILL Republican newsletter dated 07/29.
DURBIN LEAKED INACCURATE INFORMATION TO TURLEY.U.S. Senator Dick Durbin went back on a previous denial that he was the leak for Jonathon Turley's Los Angeles Times column, published Monday, where it claimed that when Durbin asked what Supreme Court Nominee John G. Roberts would do if faced with a case that conflicted with his Catholic upbringing Roberts said he would have to recuse himself from a judgment. Turley had verified his conversation with Durbin's press secretary before publishing the story but was rebuked Tuesday by the Senator's office. On Wednesday, Durbin admitted that he was indeed the source for the column but that the account was inaccurate because Turley never identified himself as a journalist. "He (Senator Durbin) made a serious mistake that could have had major implications on the nomination process," Illinois Republican Party Chairman Andy McKenna said, "Senator Durbin's actions are disrespectful to both the integrity of t he process and the people of Illinois who demand the highest level of honesty from their U.S. Senator. (Washington times 7/27/05)
Also seems we have some out of state influence in the 8th district here in ILL.
·BEAN CAN'T RAISE CASH IN THE 8th. U.S. Rep. Melissa Bean (D-8 IL) has been raising a lot of campaign cash, the only problem is that only 7% of her individual contributors are from her district. In her Q2 FEC report, Bean raised more than $130,000 through liberal pro- choice fundraising conduit Emily's List out of Washington D.C. and over fifty percent from individuals outside of Illinois. "Melissa Bean needs to ask herself which group she wants to represent, the people of the 8th district or the people in Washington D.C.," Andy McKenna said, "The evident lack of support will catch up to her in the voting booth."
Well mark another one off the list.

Dick "The Turbin" Durbin can't keep his lies straight. Being a fellow Illini I have to tolerate the insufferable weasel on a daily basis as well. BTW you want a Dem you can vote for, take a look at Evan Bayh. I have only voted Dem one time in my life.....Zell Miller for Gov. when I lived in Ga. I would be tempted in 2008 to vote that way again if Bayh's nominated and the GOP can't muster anyone better than Frist.

I'd vote for Zell Miller. He's a pricipled man, Democrat or not. I have a profound respect for people who have real and recognizable principles and appreciate basic morality. Zell Miller may be a bit of a liberal, but he's a classic liberal. Not like the amoral, free-for-all types we see today.

Religion of Peace(sic) Update - Some Of Today's 'Islamic Terror' - related Activities Around The World
First of all, a visual reminder of the Islamic agenda - courtesy of the AP and CBS (
blogstorm needed), although their intention was
to promote the Islamization of America, not to make us Islamo-aware (info and image
previously posted).

[Image from an AP/CBS article on a phoney fatwa by terrorist supporting Islamists]
Chad at InTheBullPen provides us a very good reminder that, contrary to moonbatism, the Islamofascists were busy at trying to convert the world to Islam through violent jihad, long before Iraq. Read Chad's Bin Laden Funded Jakarta Attack; Iraq as a ‘Cause’ a Shift in Tactics? While at InTheBullPen, Chad also has a piece on Osama Bin Laden directing terrorist attacks within Saudi Arabia that provides us another little reminder that the 'religion of peace(sic)' is more about world domination and politics than theology and spiritual inspiration.
The LA Times has news that some senior authorities say there is enough anecdotal evidence to warrant concern, and suggest that whatever radicalized the British bombers could presumably also motivate Americans who have embraced Islamic extremist views expressed on websites and chat rooms, in radical mosques and elsewhere. (so when is this news and when have we had any doubts about terror cells in the U.S.? )
Victor Comras has a piece at TheCounterterrorism Blog on the funding of Iraqi insurgents coming from wealthy private donors in the Middle East and elsewhere, as well as former elements of Saddam Hussein's Baathist regime. Apparently, some experts speculated at the time of the first Gulf War that Saddam had over $5 billion stashed away in addition to the $5 billion Iraqi assets located at that time. Since then, Saddam and his cronies may have raked in more than $7-10 billion through various schemes, kickbacks, extortions, and other illicit methods. The oil for food scams were only one such source of SaddamÂ’s money. And very little of this money has yet been accounted for. (in other words, the insurgency is well funded, it's leaders are well protected in Syria, and the killing isn't going away anytime soon unless we can dry up the funds and bring a halt to Syria's participation in the terror in Iraq, and, you better believe it - elsewhere as well!)
The TimesOnline.com (UK) offers up the good news that over the past fortnight Israeli intelligence agents have noticed something distinctly odd happening on the internet - one by one, Al-QaedaÂ’s affiliated websites have vanished until only a handful remain. (Oh heck, how could that be? Must be those pesky 'British Intelligence' folks!)
"Someone has cut the line of communication between the spiritual leaders(now that's a sick as hell connotation - since when is there anything 'spiritual' about murder and mayhem?) of international terrorism and their supporters." Apparently, since 9/11 the websites have been the main links to disseminate propaganda and information to Islamofascists around the world.
The News.Telegraph tells us that Scotland Yard is investigating evidence that the two waves of terrorist attacks on London this month may have been masterminded from Saudi Arabia. (Seems as though we;ve been down this road before.)
The News.telegraph.com also provides a handy "London terror factfile" for a review of most of the happenings related to the London attacks.
Sky News reports that London police are still on high alert amid fears that a third terrorist cell could be plotting another strike on the capital. Thousands of officers are on the streets and guarding Tube and overland rail stations as the huge security operation continues. (As with the Lodi case in the U.S., we're barely seeing the tip of the iceberg relative to the number of potential terrorists and existing cells in Britain)
In the Middle East Times we see that Iraqi women are split over how great a role Islam should play in the new constitution, currently being drafted in parliament, with some fearing "a return to the Dark Ages". An early draft of the constitution published in the local Al Sabah newspaper on Tuesday made clear that Islam is to be "the official religion of the State" and "the main source of legislation".

(
Apparently Iraq's women are split over Sharia becoming the law in Iraq, and wouldn't be too happy about this becoming the dress code for women. I wonder how well this would go over with American women?)The text of the document is supported by the conservative Shia majority in Iraq's parliament, and reads "No law that contradicts the universally agreed tenets of Islam may be enacted." But it's still up for discussion by a parliamentary committee and subject to revision. The parliamentary speaker, Hajim Al Hasani, has made it clear that he doesn't believe that it means the rule of Sharia, or Islamic law, and has said that he thinks there's an agreement [in parliament] that they should not include Sharia in the constitution." Luckily for the women, he says that "There are different interpretations of Sharia law," so "why open that door"? (But many of the women want no part of even thinking about sharia, and if that's coming from Muslim women, we all better think a little harder about that Islamic agenda we keep hearing about and work together a lot harder to prevent the AP/CBS's new flag for America becoming a reality!)
In what I consider the MUST READ of the day, there's an opinion piece in The Middle East Times by Youssef M. Ibrahima, former Middle East correspondent for The New York Times, energy editor of the Wall Street Journal, and managing director of the Dubai-based Strategic Energy Investment Group, entitled "The Muslim Mind Is On Fire."
(...) The world of Islam is on fire. Indeed, the Muslim mind is on fire. Above all, the West is now ready to take both of them on.
(...) The only accomplishment of jihadis is that now they have aroused the great "Western Tiger". There was a time when the United States and Europe welcomed Arab and Muslim immigrants, visitors and students, with open arms. London even allowed all dissidents escaping their countries to preach against those countries under the guise of political refugees.
(...) Well, that is all over now. Time has become for the big Western vengeance.
The most important message to both the Islamists AND the naysayer moonbats in the West, particularly the members of the KOS-set, comes in Ibrahima's closing in which he writes:
I fear those naïve Muslims who think that they are beating the West have now achieved their worst crime of all. The West is now going to war against not only Muslims, but also, sadly, Islam as a religion.
In this new cold and hot war, car bombs and suicide bombers here and there will be no match for the arsenal that those Westerners are putting together - an arsenal of laws, intelligence pooling, surveillance by satellites, armies of special forces and indeed, allies inside the Arab world who are tired of having their lives disrupted by demented so-called jihadis or those bearded preachers who, under the guise of preaching, do little to teach and much to ignite the fire, those who know little about Islam and nothing about humanity.
To recap, from 'us Westerners' the Islamists face an arsenal of laws, intelligence pooling, surveillance by satellites, armies of special forces and indeed, allies inside the Arab world who are tired of having their lives disrupted by demented so-called jihadis or those bearded preachers who, under the guise of preaching, do little to teach and much to ignite the fire, those who know little about Islam and nothing about humanity.
So isn't time that we get on with it? Maybe I should re-phrase that with - LETS GET IT ON! It's time to light up a heck of a lot more than the Muslim mind. It's time to shut down mosques with jihadi-preaching imams, profile people likely to commit acts of terror - not little old ladies and the like, stop allowing Islamic immigrants in the country and kick the ones that are here and have doubtful ambitions - out of the country to their country of origin, shut down our borders tighter than Fort Knox, stalk terrorists and kill them wherever they are, seek out terrorist sancturaries and destroy them, shut down terrorist funding and make the act a life sentence, let Syria and Iran know in no uncertain terms that if they don't stop supporting terrorism and the Iraqi insurgency - they're next, and most of all, somehow convince the Democrats that our lives depend on us working together and that they should think less like a moonbat and more like an American.

Bolton or Iraq? As if you had to ask.
Bolton was appointed this morning. Immediately George Voinovich, Olympia Snowe, and Lincoln Chafee left the Republican Party, screaming and urinating uncontrollably, bawling about their grandchildren. Their switch surrendered control of the Senate to the Democrats, who promptly tore up the paperwork on all of Bush's judicial appointments and claimed "it'll take a couple years to find" the other copies. Then they passed a resolution condemning the Iraq War and calling for US diplomats to enter into a Native American drumming circle ritual with the leaders of terrorist-sponsoring nations in order to "heal the rifts between our cultures".
Oh, wait, none of that happened and I'm just goosing Howie a little, as he often does to me when I go off on my pet issue. Actually, the people sweating and bawling over the Bolton appointment today are Howard Dean, Kofi Annan, Dominique de Villepin, and especially Kim Jong Il, who thought he was finally done with this guy but just keeps showing up out of nowhere like Rutger Hauer in The Hitcher. Actually Kim Jong Il's not sweating since his scalp was replaced with a teflon polymer poofy hair-do.
This was the right thing to do on a personal level--Bush has a reputation for loyalty to his staff and he backed Bolton all the way. But he was backing him in the first place because it's sound policy-- we need a firm hand in steering the UN. Bolton's a great guy for this job and I'm glad Bush followed through.
He's also right for this job because in many ways, Bolton doesn't fit in with the neocon/pro-spreading-democracy tenor of much Bush's cabinet. I've heard Bolton described as a paleocon and he's certainly not a fan of excessive US entanglements nor of the advance of international law and the enthroning of international institutions. Except, of course, for the PSI (which he authored)and the Illicit Activities Initiative. Which is why he's uniquely suited to this position--busting the chops of a ridiculously corrupt and self-important institution that thinks itself the Universal and Apostolic Church of the Secular World.

See-Dubya,
Thanks, I had a totally opposite post all typed up. Been waiting on you bud. I'm trying to make the week without Rusty having to fire me. Oh yeah it's pretty opposite. But a lot more thought out than my Friday comments. I've got to learn to watch that. And you all thought greg was the only one who goes off half cocked. Yes Howie unfiltered is not a pretty sight. I hereby promise that every time I'm not statisfied with my work here I'll do a little diddy like did Sunday. I was pretty satisfied with my post but my comments stank. I'm worn a bit thin lately and not feeling my best so I may go off at the mouth. I'll try and edit myself down but some days, well you get the idea.

Bolton or Iraq gee I think IÂ’ll go with Iraq
If you are tired of the steady stream of bad news coming from Iraq from the MSM you are not alone. IÂ’ve been looking for good stuff when I have time. Well today I stumbled across
another blogger who is doing a fantastic job of just that. He puts me to shame. Not hard to do but
you have got to read this. Plenty to keep you busy for some time. See I learn something every day.
A war for the future of Iraq is going on, no doubt about it, but not all of that war is being fought with guns and explosives. Terrorists and insurgents might be killing both soldier and civilians and sabotaging infrastructure, and the Iraqi and the Coalition security forces might in turn be hunting down the enemies of the new Iraq, but every step towards self-government, every new job created, every new school opened are a small victory against those who would want to turn Iraq's clock back three or 1300 years. Below are some of these stories that often get lost in the fog and smoke of war.
Also IÂ’ve neglected Feisty the last week or so. She has a pretty good post on HillaryÂ’s crusade to save the world from GTA. Some cool comments on the C64 and Amiga 1000. Kind of gives me the idea sheÂ’s older than she lets on.

that brings our grand total to a stunning $227.69! Be

100,000 British Muslims Back Bombers
Religion of peace update.....
Islamic leaders in Britain are urging their flocks to turn away from "the harbingers of hate" in the wake of a survey showing that 100,000 members of the nation's Muslim community support the London train bombers.
"The word 'Islam' means peace," insisted Rafiq Hayat, national president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association U.K. "But we have to live by it in order to grow," he warned, in quotes picked up by the Washington Times.
A YouGov survey commissioned by the London Telegraph last week, however, shows that Hayat and other pro-Western Muslim leaders are facing an uphill battle.
Twenty-four percent of 500 Muslims responding said they sympathize with the suicide bombers. More troubling still, 6 percent said the attacks were necessary.
These "believers" ought not worry about the infidels describing them as promoters of violence and terrorist sympathizers, they validate the accusations by their own shameless admissions.
Update: More illustrations of peace and compassion......
Men breakdown after viewing a tortured relative's body at the Yarmouk hospital, Monday, Aug. 1, 2005, in Baghdad, Iraq. Iraqi police discovered the tortured bodies of 12 men in an open field of garbage in the Um Al-Maalif area of south Baghdad. Relatives of the victims say that insurgents dressed as police came yesterday and took the twelve men away. (AP Photo/Mohammed Uraibi)

Why is it Muslims continue to interchange the origins of the word Islam?
It does not mean peace it means to 'submit', as in submit to the will of God.
Ever since September 11th, I've heard Islam referred to as meaning 'peace' before that it was always 'Submit' what gives?
Posted by: dave at August 01, 2005 09:46 AM (DO6vD)

Islam does mean 'peace', but it's peace with God, not necessarily man. To jihadists, peace with God requires them to be at emnity with infidels.

Inspired by 'the word Islam means peace', I found out what Christ-ianity means. Apparently, Christ also/originally means 'anointed', and anointed means that an oil or ointment has been applied... So Christianity is 'idea to apply ointment'. So it's a healing religion. Yay! More wounds to heal means more Christianity needed, so that everyone becomes Christian, 'person who has the ointment applied on already'. Finally, a good explanation to why Christians are baptised. After all, water is the oldest of all ointments. (
Vesi vanhin voitehista, don't know if there's a saying in English about it...)

Thank you Princess, many more need to become familiar with the Koran. After 9/11, I decided that I needed to know more about the Koran, and found it to be very scary. Many verses command the faithful to kill and plunder the infidel.
That wouldn't necessarily be a problem if Islam had been remade to exist in the modern world. However, when the Koran is taught in many places in the world, the student is taught that he is to interpret it literally. Therefore, such things as slavery, plunder, lack of rights for women, war against the infidel, and rejecting friendship with a non-Muslim are taught.
That, along with propaganda about how the West is persecuting Muslims seen 24/7 on Al-Jezeera and other Arab networks, has the ordinary Muslim up in arms and ready to join the jihad.
The current state of affairs is the result, and one wonders what the end of it will be. However, I will do what I can to stem the flow, and that's all anyone can do.

I'd like to thank all those of you expressing your support for us here in London. It's nice to know we're not alone.
I'd like to make an observation about the recurring threat here in London. Following 9/11, how many attacks have there been in the US? Nil!
In London, we have been attacked twice in the space of two weeks and are being advised to expect further attacks.
I think the reason behind this is our government's insistence on putting human rights, free speech and civil liberties above the basic right to life.
9% of British Muslims are sympathetic to the London Bombers. That's 45,000 people. Even if only 1% of those are fanatical enough to contemplate jihad, that means there are another 450 home grown bombers waiting to strike. We have so far tracked down 8 (4 suicide bombers and 4 in custody).
Also we are consistently told by our government to carry on as normal and show that we are not afraid and that we will not be terrorised. That's OK for Tony Blair and his buddies to say but they don't have to travel on the London Transport System. They have armed guards and chauffeur driven cars.
I am very afraid ! So much so that I am aiming to build up clients for my accountancy business as soon as possible so that I can work from home rather than in the city.
We have tolerated this Islamic evil for too long but our politically correct government would rather stand up for the terrorists and their sympathisers than for decent law abiding British citizens.

Defending Frist
Yeah, I'm sure the title got a lot of your attention. But it won't be me defending Frist. I'm getting a little tired of trying to find excuses for his bizarre behavior.
However, in today's edition of GOPUSA, one of our esteemed Representatives does attempt to defend Frist. It seems that Representative Paul Stanley once served as an aide for Senator Frist and was around for Frist's first hard decision which, according to him, was the confirmation of Clinton's controversial Surgeon General, Dr. Henry Foster. According to Rep. Stanley, after much discussion and debate, Frist voted for the Surgeon General's confirmation. When asked why, his only response was "Because I had more information than you did."
Rep. Stanley notes this as being indicitive of Frist's decisiveness and strength of character. I note this as being evasive and roundabout. That is the kind of answer that just reeks of "I've been painted into a corner by the Democrats and have to vote with them, but I can't say why." ANY investigative reporter, faced with an answer like that, would be digging for the truth of what happened, hoping to find whatever dirt Frist was blackmailed with.
Now, of course, I don't know if Frist was blackmailed back then any more than I know what his motivations are for coming out against the President on stem cell research. But here's what I do know.
1. Frist has show a fairly consistant record of voting RINO.
2. Frist will be running for President in 2008
3. Frist has no idea of whom he represents.
It seems to me that he's been listening to the Democrats tell him what "mainstream America" wants for too long. Maybe he should go ask mainstream America what they actually do want. Because I'm pretty sure he would get a different answer than what he's coming up with on his own. Hopefully his 2008 aspirations won't be enough to keep someone who is actually worth having in the White House from running.
On a side note, Rep. Stanley mentions an interesting idea for 2008. Have Fred Thompson run for President. I'm not sure exactly about his politics, but I know that he would be well recognized and well liked. It would probably be about as good a chance as we have for continuing Conservative reign.

Had someone used Mr. Frist's stem cells he wouldn't have been around to vote for stem cell research. He won't be getting my vote.

what conservative reign are you talking about? did I miss something? Bush is as big s spender as has ever been in the white house.

I'm sure Kerry could reduce your spending for you. As well as continuing to slaughter millions of innocent children each year.
Yeah, Bush isn't the best conservative in the world. But neither is anyone else. He's still better than any of the options, such as Frist, McCain, et al.
I'm just hoping the Republican party comes up with someone better for 2008 or we'll end up with a Kerry clone.

My understanding is that the stem-cell lines in question are ones that are slated for destruction.
There is world-wide a race on to find out what the real medical possibilities of stem-cells are, since there is so much bogus hype and claims of miracle cures - and it's quite possible (and in some cases already shown) that embryonic stem-cells represent no more specialty than umbilical stem-cells.
But there is a HUGE scientific race and money-chase in every way connected to stem-cells of each and every type, and every University's bio-medical research group has plans for some kind of damn multidisciplinary institute to study both stem cell biology, cancer biology, and whatever synergistically generates the most Donor-Funds and they are going ahead wherever possible with whatever thery can, with or without Federal support.
According to
Silicon Valley/San Jose BizJournal already
In 1992, Stanford researcher Irving Weissman was one the first in the world to begin working with human adult stem cells, the university says, and about five years ago, scientists delved into the pioneering field of mouse embryonic stem cell research.
The university formalized its commitment in 2002 with the creation of the Institute for Cancer/Stem Cell Biology and Medicine, which was jump-started by $12 million grant from an anonymous donor. The institute is directed by Dr. Weissman.
Stanford has at least 10 different stem cell research groups working on a wide variety of conditions including Parkinson's, cancer, stroke, and diabetes, funded through a combination of federal and private grants.
Donor funds are the stem-cell-lifeblood of endowments, and the next thing are patents and patentable technology spin-offs. Irv's brought a lot of big-bucks to Snodfart and 12-million in anonymous dough is building the next center, and demolition is already taking place to situate it.
There's a HUGE worldwide race and Big-Money chase already taking place, the whistle has blown and they're out of the starting blocks is all I'm saying - and we'd better beat France to this. ;-)

That is my understanding on Frist's view for stem cell research, using embryos that would be discarded anyway.
No arguments that Kerry would be worse, but no time to debate Bushie versus McCain or even Frist. Bush is not a fiscal conservative, and I doubt he is even truly a social conservative. He is a very wily politician, though. And he does have balls, which is more than can be said for a lot of the possible alternatives.

Gaah- smokescreen. This is what makes or breaks a leader for you?
Posted by: Max at August 01, 2005 12:53 PM (HFKAk)

Which are you referrring to, Max? The fact that he stabs his party in the back? Or the fact that he won't reveal his reasons for doing it? Or the fact that he's got a track record of doing it? Or the fact that he doesn't have enough balls to stand up and act like he's the leader of the majority party in the Senate?
Yes, all those things combined with what seems to be like an alarming lack of personal integrity definately make or break a leader.

Question from a curious Dem: Just who are Frist's support base? He courted the religious right, then tried the Schiavo gambit and failed, toyed with the nuclear option and got rolled over by the "gang of 14", then ditched the christians to tack to the center on stem cells. Who are his supporters? Not picking on the guy, I'm seriously interested in a GOP take...

Well, Reid, that's an excellent question. At this point, I would assume his only support base are the people of his home state who keep electing him. I certainly hope he doesn't think he can carry the presidency on just that, though.

Teacher Sent Perfumed Love Letters to Boy
(Ft. Worth, Texas) A teacher at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Grapevine, Dawn Reiser, 30, was arrested last year and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child for allegedly having an extended-term sexual relationship with her 13-year-old student. Today, her trial starts in Criminal District Court No. 2 in Fort Worth.
From Star-Telegram.com:
Reiser befriended the boy at the Grapevine school, where she had worked for four years.
According to a search warrant affidavit, Reiser kept in contact with the boy in the spring of 2004 by calling him on the telephone, emailing him and meeting with him without his mother's knowledge.
At some point, Reiser told the boy that she loved him, and they discussed getting married when he turned 18, the search and arrest warrants state.
The boy told Colleyville police that Reiser picked him up June 10, 2004, at his house and drove him to her Euless home, according to the affidavits. Her husband was not there.
The boy told police that Reiser tied his arms to a bedpost with black silk ties and spread warming lotion on him, the search warrant states. For the next three hours, they had sex "nine or 12 times," and Reiser performed a sex act on him, according to the affidavits.
Days after that encounter, the boy went to the Christian summer camp, where he received what appeared to be "love letters," the affidavits state.
The perfumed letters were adorned with hearts and flowers and professed Reiser's love for the boy. The boy contacted camp counselors who alerted the police. During a search, police found the warming lotion and black silk ties in Reiser's home.
If convicted, the 30-year-old Reiser could get life in prison on the assault charge and 20 years on the indecency charge. It's unknown what Mr. Reiser thinks of the situation.
Within the past week, there have been a number of female sex abuse cases reported, seemingly a spike. Dawn Reiser's case is somewhat unique in that it's the first time I've heard of an adult woman introducing a child to bondage sex. For consenting adults, it might be considered kinky. This case is a sick perversion.
[Update 8/05/05, 0630 EDT]
Reiser was convicted and sentenced to eight years in prison, to permanent loss of teaching credentials, and to register as a sex offender. Both the prosecution and defense were satisfied with the punishment.

I'm sick of the sickos. And I'm sick of the apologists saying it is different for a little boy to be seduced by an older woman, than a little girl by a man. Of course its different, but its just as wrong, and just as sick. Are women supposed to only be equal when they do something good?

We live in a sick society, my friends! However, a big part of the problem is that there are so few men involved in education in the US. Discipline is so lax that you have students actually hitting on the younger and better looking teachers. There seems to be no one who will draw a line in the school systems.
I see it all the time. There are teachers who allow inappropriate contact between themselves and students. I do not want to exclude men from this equation, either. They are also guilty of some of the same behavior, but are usually prevented by enforcement of school policies. Women are rarely subjected to this policy because the male students are not likely to complain to officials about sexual advances from female teachers.

I agree with Mr. K. If I was going to be molested by a teacher,
I would choose Debra over Dawn. The sad thing is, out of all the
teachers I had from 1st - 12th grade, I only had 3 I would want to
molest me, and 2 more that I would allow to molest me. I guess Texas
teachers are just not the good looking kind.
I also agree with J.J. in that most teenage boys would not
complain, (maybe brag), about having sex with a teacher.

What was she thinking? Does she know it's wrong and illegal to molest lil kids? A 12 year old being seduced by a 30 year old is wrong. If I was her I would have said no. Always say no to censorship don't take guts to say yes. I'm sorry but this story about Dawn and the kid made me sick and that Dawn seemed like a nice person to do something sick like that. Why did she do that? I feel sorry for her she has lost her life and the poor kid he might be a father at the age 12. I really do not see that and remember always say no to censorship.

Although this is things that happen in our society, we as ADULTS need to help the system fix those problems. As adults we intrust our children in the care of people like Dawn and don't think nothing is wrong. As you can see"we have to check and double check" everything. We teach our children to confide in us when something is wrong when they are young. And it shouldn't change as they grow older. WE CAN'T AFFORD TO LOOSE THEM TO ANYMORE DAWN REISER'S!!!!!!PLEASE STAY INFORMED!!!!

Do these teachers think through their heads that it's wrong to have sex with a student? They don't think do they? They just think sex is ok to have with a student but it isn't. The world is no movie. We can't do whatever. These teachers are really sick who have sex with minors. They should say no at always not yes. Good for the boy that he didn't do anything but bad for the teacher. I think the teacher shouldn't be free have her locked up for good. She looked nasty lookin anyways.

She was always saying how she was happily maried! Apparently not! everyone hates her now and she was a mean teacher so i didnt like her even before this.

In today's day and ages there are a lot of things that happen wrong. I personally think that there are two sides to the story. The child did say they had sex 12 times in 2 hours, and well that is impossible. Who can do that? What about the DNA? There was no DNA on the scarves!?! How much of the story is REALLY true. Neverless, Dawn is in Jail and will be there for a while, getting help. People can change for the better. Thanks for letting me comment.

The gates of hell swing open
The fire is burning bright
Another Arab shitbag
Has screwed the dog tonight
His soft and flabby body
Ravaged by years of sex abuse
Has imploded on his bedsheets
While impaled on a goose
Allah watis in hell for him
The filthy sandnigger king
His special job for eternity
Will be sucking infidel ass rings

I have a friend over at
Conservative Friends who is a musician. She has recently released an album called "Good Clean Fun Volume 2" that you should really check out. She's a lot like a political Weird Al. You can get a sample of the music
here as well as seeing the track listing. There is also a link in that post to another area where you can download the entire "Good Clean Fun Volume 1."
