Irony Update: 150 Rwandan troops to deploy in Darfur

The pan-African force will consist of 150 Rwandan troops and 150 Nigerian soldiers who will be tasked with protecting an AU team of observers monitoring a ceasefire between Khartoum and Darfur rebels.

CIA Agent Executed: Another Beheading Video

A Web site used by Islamic militants carried a video on Wednesday purporting to show militants beheading a "CIA agent" in Iraq.
The four-minute long footage showed a Western-looking man sitting on a chair surrounded by armed masked men. One of the men struck the captive's neck repeatedly with a sword, severing his head amid shouts of "Allahu Akbar" (God is greatest).
A militant later held up the severed head for the camera.
An Arabic sign placed around the man's neck identified him as a "CIA agent." The video, which could not be immediately authenticated, showed what seemed to be the captive's picture identification card with the caption "visitor."
The Web site did not say which group issued the video, nor did the masked men identify themselves or make any political statements as previous kidnappers in Iraq had.
The men could be heard speaking in the background but the audio quality was too poor to understand.
The tired-looking captive was wearing a plain shirt and trousers.
Militants in Iraq have waged a campaign of kidnapping aimed at driving out individuals, companies and troops supporting U.S. forces and the new Iraqi interim administration.
Scores of hostages have been kidnapped by armed groups. Some have been freed but at least nine have been killed -- including an American, a South Korean and a Bulgarian

UPDATE: The website has been shut down, but the URL included ansarnet in it. Possibly linking it to Ansar al Islam. You remember them, don't you? They are the al Qaeda branch that isn't in Iraq, because as we all know, there was not al Qaeda connection.

UPDATE II: May I just also ad, that the so-called proof that the man was a CIA Agent was that he had a VISITOR ID tag on him. Can anyone imagine a real CIA Agent hanging around Northern Iraq carrying his VISITOR tag? I'm going to go out on a limb here--no, this mere speculation, nothing more--the victim here might well have been a local with some contact with the provisional government. Since Ansar al Islam has their stronghold in what is now Kurdish occupied territory, chances are this man has some connection to the Kurdish government. It should also be remembered that the CIA has been operating in Kurdistan since the end of the Gulf War. It is also likely that hundreds, if not more, Kurds have been taken out of country for CIA backed training over the last dozen years. This would go a long way in explaining why the CIA is denying reports that one of their agents is missing and the VISITOR ID on the victim.

The video is real. Someone died. The hoax may be that he was a CIA officer.

I'm no expert, but the victim appears to either be unconscience or already deceased.

3 Dammit!! Using Medical expertise on the other videos, with their eyes covered, they were deceased when their heads were so grotesquely and barbaricly for shock value, beheaded. I think some were dead even before the video was made. As an example, I'll use Kim Sun Il and the reasoning behind this one is that with all his whining and scared talking and hysterical yelling, there was no way in hell he was going to kneel in front of them with his hands tied, legs tied, eyes covered while they executed him. Uh huh! But to already take someone and do it is still sickening. I know beheadings are normal over there but not the way they are doing it - they do it in such a way for the maximal shock effect but I'm really getting tired of this crap. Why don't we just nuke em all??

4 RTFM: the reason the world sees us as the bad guys is because this stuff is not shown on our tv's so the Americans have no idea about these savage, brutal, barbaric, totally sickening videos and like a lot of us who post these and host these we do it for a reason: to show the rest of the country what we are really up against when it comes to terrorists. 11 I think this person (supposedly CIA agent) was still alive. I think they saw that he was an American CIA agent (from ID papers) and beat him up really badly. Must have had a severe beating. These people are not Iraqis. They are foreign islamic Al Qaeda groups (mostly recruited from Saudi ARabia, Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Persian Gulf countries etc) flocking to Iraq to cause trouble. They even shoot Iraqis (their own kind ie. muslims/arabs) that work for the US army like Iraqi women who do the laundry for US military and Iraqi translaters. Iraqis would never bomb their own with car bombings. It never happened when Saddam Hussein was in power. Car bombings & beheadings are an Al Qaeda hallmark. I mean look at that American contractor (Mr Hamil) that was kidnapped in Iraq by Iraqi militants. They treated him humanely and well for a month before he escaped. If the Zarqawi group had captured him I think he would have been beheaded. I noticed almost all of these beheadings are done by the Jordanian Al Qaeda linked Zarqawi group. Because if you look at their flag in the background it's a black flag with yellow sun in the middle. This is their group. I mean look at Jessica Lynch, she was injured combatant, the Iraqis took her to a hospital and even put her in an Iraqi ambulance and drove her to an American checkpoint to return her but they were fired upon by trigger happy US soldiers. I think the CIA agent was so demoralized and was already prepared for death that he didn't want to put up any physical resistance. He knew it was hopeless and they were going to kill him anyway. He's obviously alive because one of the terrorists told him to open his eyes and he did so weakly and also he lifted his hands up and down a few times. I don't think he was dead when they beheaded him. I think he gave up all hope and said let them get it over with. His jaw looks broken and his eyes is all bruised. He must have gotten a severe beating. Remember there are many different groups operating in Iraq. There are even news reports of some Iraqi groups that have threatened to kill Zarqawi and his terrorist group because they claim Zarqawi has killed scores of innocent Iraqis and have beheaded foreingers. They don't all work hand in hand.

Alot of our criminals are more pampered than they were on the outside. Freedom, and i said true freedom is a pain in the ass to run, but it's worth it. 25 Kerry is making it another NAM. He voted for the war too. We are stuck there and should support our troops, even if we do not support the decision. The French had been in Nam and couldn't change it. I cannot understand how we thought that we could, but maybe it had something to do with calling it a "Conflict" WHICH was crap, it was a WAR. Kennedy had planned to withdraw Jan of 1964, but died before he could do it. Johnson continued it with no regard for Kennedy's plan. That war was fought by both volunteers and the drafted. The Iraqi war is being fought by volunteers only. Let us hope that those sleezy people spitting and calling our brave soldier's returning from Nam "Baby killer's", will not disgrace our current soldiers. I have the greatest respect for all Vietnam Vets, they deserve honor for their service and courage. I watched the 7th Marine Division ship out from Pendleton and knew many Marines. My father was one, my son is one, and my daughter is currently serving in the Navy. As Americans, we should not let a war that was voted on by both Kerry and Bush, divide and conquer our untiy as a nation. That is exactly what the rest of the world wants to see happen to this great country.

49 Hey Chad, I hope all is going well with you. I am still voting for Bush, but will support Kerry if he is elected, as a Patriot should do. This fight on terror is all about us being a united front against any group threatening our way of life. I still have problems with Kerry only spending four months in Nam. It is not about how many metals he won...to me it is about how many he threw away. I know men who did multiple tours of duty there, that will not back down on their own personal feelings about Kerry and I will vote their conscious because they deserve it. I could eventually get past Kerry, but what to do about his running mate and that horrible shrew of a woman he is married to. Amazing how they talk about fuel consumption....I wonder how much fuel their own personal jet and all of their other big toys use? Either way, we will need to unite as Americans as we continue to loose our foothold in our own Country. So many foreigner's have more rights than we do and so many green card holders, have no intention of becoming American's although some have lived here for over 25 years. English is not even our National language, can you believe that? Yet we continue to produce government documents in over 13 languages. I say all people should be able to speak basic English before they are even considered for entrance. We need to clean house, get rid of those taking up our jobs, but that have no intention of becoming one of us. Then we must shut our doors and take inventory.

Dirty politics is bad news under any circumstanses. This repeated Kerry bashing is not good for our great nation. Lets stick to the issues and leave the smut behind. the war ended more than a generation ago. Dirty politics is a complete turn off for me. Mud sling by anyone is a true sign of weakness!! Why I am Voting for Bush

Not that this will come as a shocker for anybody, but I plan on voting for Bush in the fall. I am not a hardcore Republican. In fact, if there was a real choice, I would say I am closer to the Libertarian Party than I am to the Republican Party. I almost ran as a Libertarian for Congress, but the state I live in has pretty high hurdles for getting third-party candidates on the ballot.

There are many key areas which I disagree with the Republican Party on. (yes, I ended that sentence with a preposition... sue me). Read the extended entry if this really interests you.

If not, then let me just remind you that today is Wictory Wednesday. Yup, I'm on board.

1 I recommend the book by John O'neill, UNFIT FOR COMMAND, a true account of Kerry's 4 month tour in Vietnam. I forgive him for his fraud and egocentricity, and I pray that he will have a change of heart, whether or not he becomes President. My son, aW4 in an unnamed flight concepts group, who has 24 years service to his country (DMZ inKorea, Bosnia, Colombia, Afganistan, and now the Gaza strip,) met Pres Bush when his unit gave a demonstration for the President at Fort Bragg. After the demonstration, my son strode over to Pres Bush, ofered him a handshake, and said, "Mr President, it's a pleasure and privilege to serve you as our Commander-in-Chief! Thank you, Sir!" Bush's reply, "Oh no, son,--thank you!"

3 the only things against kerry that the republicans have is a PAST lack of military and anti-terrorism spending. well hate to break it to you republicans but bush did the same....RIGHT BEFORE 9/11!!! which was probably staged by him nways. but speeking from a strictly mainstream media printed viewpoint - he cut spending to anti-terrorism units and is, as we speak, cutting pay to our young people in combat over seas as well as reducing benefits to those who have given of themselves in previous wars. perhaps these budget cuts wouldnt be needed if bush hadnt called for massive tax cuts that benefited mostly the upper class (his campaign contributers). maybe these budget cuts wouldnt be necessary if he had not, on TOP of getting rid of our budget surplus through tax cuts, gone into another country unprovoked - a country who never threatened or hurt us by the way and started a war without having a plan as to how we were going to leave the country. so you think kerry will cut spending? please!! he said that he would increase benefits for injured veterans and he is NOT weak on terrorism. he went into this war saying we are going into iraq to stop sadam hussein who is harboring al quida (whos leader osama bin laden by the way hated hussein) and to get his weapons of mass destruction (be they chemical or nuclear). when did this focus change from terrorist hunting and weapons destruction to freeing the iraqi people? ill tell you when!! when his lie was found out and the ignorant and unthinking american people began thinking well wait a min. here. the saudis give waaaaaaay more money to terrorist and iraq has the second largest oil reserves in the world....bush + presidency = opportunity to take iraqi oil? i think soooooooooo. so here we have a lying, betraying bush regarding war and defense spending. Millions of 8-year-olds are given lists of words and phrases. they are then graded. then the children scoring lowly have the option of being sent to another school where they can do better? riiiiiiight. it never happens. the money that was supposed to go towards this plan went to end the inheritance tax giving rich peoples kids a few more million in money when they die essentially making it the no child whos parents make at least 7 digits a year are left behind act. then what happens? the kids who are tested as not being well enough educated are locked in. there are no "optional schools" for them to attend unlike bush who attended Philips Andover Academy where even with the help of some of the countries finest teachers he, upon graduation, managed only to score a 25 outa 100 on the air national guards test. yes ladies and gents - almost to stupid to be allowed to operate on or in an airplane. hes not even the one who truly makes the decisions. i dont know if you are all aware of this or not but bush has never EVER been on television or to an interview where his responses and have not been scripted by his staff before hand and even THEN he fucks up. hes a joke. neone willing to do their home work would see that. i dont especially agree with all that kerry says but compared to bush - nething is better

Al Qaeda Planning Major Assasination

This just in from Drudge, so hot off the presses that Drudge hasn't even corrected typos (I've updated the quote, as Drudge has changed it somewhat)

U.S. intelligence officials say a high-profile political assassination, triggered by the public release of a new message from Osama bin Laden, will lead off the next major al Qaeda terrorist attack, the WASHINGTON TIMES has learned.
The assassination plan is among new details of al Qaeda plots disclosed by U.S. officials familiar with intelligence reports who, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the killing could be carried out against a U.S. or foreign leader either in the United States or abroad.
The new details of al Qaeda's plans were found on a laptop computer belonging to arrested al Qaeda operative Muhammad Naeem Noor Khan of Pakistan, Bill Gertz is set to report in a page one blockbuster.
'We're talking about planning at the screwdriver level,' one official said. 'It is very detailed.'

Honored Irish Dead

As many of you know, I keep a running count of hostages that are executed by the Religion of Peas. My criteria for adding names to the list is simple: the victims must have be executed some time after being captured. FYI-14 hostages have been murdered by terro-zombies since 9/11.

A reader, from Ireland, sent me an e-mail reminding me of the names of the two Irish victims of Islamic extremism. Both murdered in cold blood. While not officially going on the list, let us not forget their names. From that e-mail:

1 - Tony Higgans - Age - 63 - Shot dead in his place of
employment by masked militants - 08/03/04
2 - Simon Cumbers - Age - 34 - Shot dead while working as a BBC
cameraman outside the house of a prominent militant - 06/06/04
