Putin says what everyone is thinking

Via the Commissar and Kevin this novestiy Putin: International terrorists have set as their goal inflicting the maximum damage to Bush, to prevent his election to a second term. If they succeed in doing that, they will celebrate a victory over America and over the entire anti-terror coalition

Let me just gloat for a minute and remind y'all that I've been saying that Putin was our ally for awhile. I wish some out there would stop there bitching and realize that, yes Putin is a flawed autocrat with anti-democratic tendencies, but so the freak what?!?! He's our ally. Allies are built on mutual interests. Who cares if Putin appoints governors or if Yukos has to sell off a few assets? Hell, if appointing governors was akin to fascism then half the unitary states on earth would qualify. After Beslan, Putin woke up and realized what a tragic mistake he had made in Iraq. He believed, wrongly, that by appeasing Muslims by opposing the Iraq war he would by some sympathy. How wrong was that? It is only a matter of time before Islamic terrorists massacre French school children. When that time comes, France will be lucky that Americans have such a short memory span and we are willing to forgive so quickly.

I Just Voted, early but not often

My state allows 'early voting' which started today. This is where you mosy on down to the County Courthouse and vote in the two weeks prior to the actual election. I'm not so sure if this is good news or bad news for Bush, but I had to wait in line to get my ballot. If there is an easy way to distinguish between Bush and Kerry voters, I don't know it. However, I will say that most of the people there were older--whatever that might mean. Also, the ballot had Bush's name on top and the Senate race also had the Republican on top. Which might seem insignificant until you remember the 'tards who voted for Buchanan in 2000 because they were confused.

Who did I vote for? Kodos.

Team America Blog Reviews (UPDATED)

I saw Team America: World Police last night with the only other Bush supporter on the floor and a Chomsky loving lesbo (the real kind, not the hot ones on TV)--what better way to spend a night out on the town with the guys? No small task for a guy with three kids, but Mrs. Shackleford was so impressed by my birthday gift that she yielded to my endless whining about the movie. As I've already noted so many times, I've been waiting for this movie for months.

What did I think of Team America: World Police? One of the funniest movies ever made. The funniest movie ever.

I laughed so often and so hard that today I have a laughing hangover. I'm being totally seriously here. My body is literally--physically-- sore this morning. I don't think I'll be able to smile for a week.

I'm not much of a list maker, but I've been axing myself how Team America: World Police compares to other movies? Here's my top five list of all time funniest movies:

1) Team America: World Police "F**k yeah!"
2) Blazing Saddles "The sherrif is a ni--"
3) Animal Crackers "How the elephant got in my pajamas I'll never know."
4) The Jerk "I was born a poor black child."
5) Pearl Harbor "I think World War II just started."

Here's what the right blogosphere is saying about Team America: World Police:

Sullie-"Parker and Stone are now indisputably the comic geniuses of their generation. The point of the movie is not nihilism - it's sanity. Sanity against the moronic ra-ra pro-Americanism of many in the Bush camp...."
-Demosophist-"It's like [Sullie] saw a different movie than I did."
-Roger L. Simon-"...loved the film."
-Russell Wardlow-"High art, it ain't, but I've never laughed so hard in a movie theater before."
-Charles Johnson-"I highly recommend Team America. ItÂ’s a technical tour-de-force, with deliberately retro-cheesy puppets and incredible sets, and a decidedly anti-idiotarian take on the major issues."
-John Hawkins-"I can tell you that this is a dream movie for South Park Republicans who support fighting the war on terrorism & love to watch liberals being mocked mercilessly"
-Fritz Schranck-I havenÂ’t laughed that hard in a good while....Go see this movie--for America.
-Leopold Stotch-"Trey Parker and Matt Stone have done it again in what I say without hyperbole is one of the finest films ever made. I'm seriously."
-Flea-"You know you are in the right place when the first words to scroll across the screen are "Paris, France" and everybody starts laughing. "
-Jon of Aaargh!-"Now, if you haven't already, go see the movie.
-Pink Kitty-"The Empress gives it all paws up (but not in that French surrender kind of way.) Funniest movie of 2004. "
-Lord Floppington- "I thought it was great....Unlike Micheal Moore, you get the feeling Parker and Stone actually love this country, even when they take jabs at our foreign policy."
-Dean Esmay-"Team America: F*** Yeah! Can't. Stop. Laughing."
-Sean Hackbarth-"The Michael Moore antidote...hysterical..."
-Ian S.-"In terms of raw laughs per minute itÂ’s easily the funniest movie IÂ’ve ever seen."
-Citizen Smash-"Even funnier than Pearl Harbor!"
-Leftorium-"...unbelievably hilarious."
-BummerDietz-"It's funny. A Hollywood crowd guffawed throughout."
-Cigarette Smoking Man from the X-Files-"I made the mistake of bringing a large coke in there with me and couldn't drink a drop for fear of it coming out my nose, I was laughing so hard."
-Pennywit-"Go see Team America."
-Peter at SFSignal-"After watching this movie, it was some time before I stop saying my Ls as Rs..."
-Kate at Texas Gary-"The whole shebang was beyond awesome..."
-SondraK- "I recovered quickly from my shock and proceeded to laugh my ass off."
-Matt at Overtaken by Events-"Funny as hell."
-Rita at Res Ipsa Loquitur-"Oh. My. God. I laughed so much my face hurts."
-Laurence Simon-"Three word movie review: America, f*ck yeah!"
-Sissy Willis-"Four paws for 'Team America'"
-Bloodspite-"anything that makes Mikey Moore to be a hot dog cramming fat blob can't be all bad!"

PS-When I first started this roundup I didn't know Smash and Bloodspite over at Techography were also doing roundups. Thanks to both of them for providing some of the links.

Terrorist Sympathizer Mahathir Endorses Kerry

Can someone please tell me how Kerry gets the both the Jewish vote and the Neo-Nazi vote. Doesn't cognitive dissonance mean anything to American Jews? The Straits Times:

Malaysia's former prime minister has urged Muslims in America to vote for US Senator John Kerry in the Nov 2 presidential election, saying President George W. Bush has been 'the cause of the tragedies' across the Muslim world.

'Vote Bush out of office,' Dr Mahathir Mohamad said in an open letter dated Oct 15 to America's Muslim community. 'It is truly an ibadah (act of devotional worship) that you perform.'

'In the past four years, during the Presidency of George W. Bush, the Muslims and their countries have suffered oppression and humiliation as never before in the history of Islam,' he said in the letter published on IslamiCity.com, a California-based website. ...

'There is an obvious connection between the sufferings of the Muslims and the policies and thinking of Bush,' the letter said.

'Bush has shown that despite his protests, he is the cause of the tragedies in Afghanistan, Palestine and Iraq,' he said.

'I would like to appeal to you, the Muslim citizens and voters of America, to be united and to cast your votes against Bush, in the name of justice, in the name of Islam.' ....

Dr Mahathir retired last year mired in a controversy after telling a summit of Muslim leaders that 'Jews rule the world by proxy. They get others to fight and die for them'.

The real quote from Mahathir is "The Nazis killed 6 out of 12 million Jews" then followed by "The Jews [still] rule the world by proxy." Later, Mahathir elaborated by saying this small kabal of Jews could not stand up to the force of a billion Muslims if Muslims would just unite in their opposition to the Hebrews.

Tales of Interest!

After a long-weekend of no posting what's a guy supposed to do? That was a rhetorical question.

-Saddam Hussein's attorney met with Osama bin Laden? Whoa! Let's be cautious about this one.
-Label Club. I wonder if they'll be a folow-up post "Operation Mayhem"?
-Asian blog roundup. So are all those other countries Chinese or Japanese?
-Fake document alert. Ok troops, let's call some experts up.
-Mount St. Helens lava pics. Just cool.
-Pat Buchanan to endorse Bush? It looks like Pat is an avid Prof. Chaos reader.
-Zarqawi-bin Laden connection. I've been reporting this for awhile.

Ok, off to edumacate the masses. more...

Democrats Disenfranchising Soldiers?

James Joyner:

So, to recap, the Democratic Party is:

1. Trying to disenfranchise Nader supporters
2. Effectively disenfranchising American soldiers in harm's way

It makes you wonder why they call themselves the "Democratic" Party, no?

Team America: World Police Review

No, I haven't seen it yet, but my friend Prof. Chaos has. He says:

... this movie offers a more sophisticated understanding of US foreign policy than you find even in academic journals. I will likely require this film in my IR courses once the DVD is out.
Lucky jerk. I'll see it in a month, if I'm lucky.

Kerry's Worst Lie--The bad job market debunked

(This post will stay on top for awhile)

I was stunned last night as John Kerry continued to retell a falsehood over and over and no one called him on it. In fact, it was the biggest whopper of the night. His lie was not a simple twisting of words. His lie was not a faulty memory. It was a down and dirty lie. What was it? From the WAPO transcript:

And this is the first president in 72 years to preside over an economy in America that has lost jobs, 1.6 million jobs.

Eleven other presidents -- six Democrats and five Republicans -- had wars, had recessions, had great difficulties; none of them lost jobs the way this president has.

In a number of earlier posts I thought I had disproved this myth, but perhaps John Kerry just hasn't gotten word yet. So, let me restate some of the conclusions drawn in those earlier posts. Also, will the rest of the blogosphere do their damn jobs and call Karl Rove, Fox News, and the rest of the VRWC so we can finally put the 'worst job recovery ever' lie to rest!

Let's look at the numbers, keeping in mind that the job numbers have improved since I last analyzed them. If we were to include the latest numbers, Bush's record would look even better. All numbers were gathered from the official Bureau of Labor Statistics website. more...

Another Beheading Video from the Religion of Peace: Turkish Truck Driver Murderd

iraqtruckid.jpgThe videotaped beheading murder of Turkish truck driver Ramadan Elbu can be dowloaded at the Terrorist Media website. Graphic images from the video are posted below. The image to the right is also from the beheading murder video.

This video is the second to be posted to the Ansar al-Sunnah website, but in which at least one of the murderers identified themselves as a member of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's Tawhid and Jihad terrorist organization [earlier post here]. More to come as time permits. NY Post:

An Iraqi militant group has beheaded a Turkish driver it was holding hostage, according to a video posted on the group's Web site yesterday.

The Army of Ansar al-Sunna said in a statement that it had killed the driver because he worked with the U.S.-led forces in Iraq.

"We warn all those who cooperate with the occupying crusaders to repent and return to the faith or else blame only themselves for their fate, which is death," one of four masked gunmen said, before decapitating the hostage with a knife. The video showed the gunmen standing in front of a black banner bearing the name of Ansar al-Sunna.

They were surrounding the hostage, who was seated on the floor in an open courtyard. He gave a brief statement in Turkish and then was shown blindfolded.

"I want my voice to be heard by all my driver friends and by Turkey. No one should bring goods into Iraq, they shouldn't come to Iraq. That's all I have to say," said the gray-haired hostage, holding up his identity cards.

Lucas, I am your father!

Who's your daddy George? You biyatch.

On a related note Jeff Quinton pisses me off this morning with this post: After initially indicating there might be a Star Wars-themed television show in the future, George Lucas has backed off reports that a Skywalker-centered television show was in development, according to T.V. Guide (can't find an article online yet to any report of this.)

Ok, so the first few seconds of the post I'm thinking, "Awesome, there's going to be a Star Wars TV show!! Something better than those lame-o shorts on Cartoon Network, I hope."

Then you get to the second part of the sentence, and I'm thinking, "What?!? I get all excited only to be told that Lucas is not going to do a Star Wars TV show!!!!"

Two immediate analogies come to mind:

1) Draft-gate. You know, a story about a non-story. "After 25 years Lucas still has no plans for TV show despite the buzz from Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY) that with the present dearth in network programming production of the show was inevitable and, after all, weren't all these Sci Fi reruns and Buck Rogers remakes just a back-door way of making the Tatooine Chronicles a reality without letting the American viewing audience understand the full extent of the ratings war?"

2) "Can I come up to your room and use the bathroom." Then, it turns out she really has to use the bathroom. "Could there be a Star Wars themed TV show?" Come on into the room baby. Bathroom is right over there. Let me just slip into something more comfortable. Go on into the bathroom. That's right, make yourself at home. Viagra kicking in. Toilet flushing. Viagra working. Water running, wash up good baby. Anticipation. Come on out baby. I'm ready to go. "Star Wars themed movie? No. Thanks for the toilet. Toodles." Aaaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

We have a name for a post like that: C*ck tease!!!

Beheading Video: Zarqawi Murders Two Iraqis

iraqiintelpic.jpgUPDATE: This is an archive page. For the latest information on terrorist communiques and videos, please go to the MAIN PAGE here
----------------------------

All pictures in this post are from the video. Link to the video is below. As you can see, those who wish to minimize the Iraqi involvement in fighting terrorists in their own land are sorely mistaken. Most of the recent hostage murders have been Iraqis themselves. Those who are involved in building a modern state in Iraq do so at the risk of their own lives.

Disclaimer: When I started posting about this subject I never expected the terrorists to begin beheading people on a daily basis. I am saddened to keep posting on this subject. However, I still feel strongly that most Americans have forgotten what it was like to watch the Twin Towers fall. They have forgotten what it was like to watch people jumping out of those buildings. Many claim to remember, but an intellectual understanding of such attrocities is not enough. Let the images and video posted below remind you of the sick SOBs we are fighting. We fight for our secularism, we fight for religious choice, and we fight for our civilization. AP:

A videotape that was posted Wednesday on an Islamic Web site showed militants affiliated with wanted Jordanian terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi beheading two Iraqis purported to be intelligence officers...

iraqiintel2pic.jpgThe 10-minute videotape showed two captives, Fadhel Ibrahim and Firas Imeil, identifying themselves as Iraqi National Intelligence officers and saying they were captured in Baghdad's Haifa Street on Sept. 28.

The tape showed four masked gunmen standing behind Ibrahim and then Imeil, with one militant describing the blindfolded captives as "criminals."

The militant speaking in the tape mentioned the recent U.S.-led attacks against militants in the Iraqi city of Samarra and appeared to acknowledge a setback for insurgents in the city.

"Let America and those behind it know that what had happened in Samarra was a mere labor pain," the militant said, adding that "war has its ups and downs." U.S. and Iraqi troops claimed success earlier this month when they swept into Samarra, an insurgent stronghold northwest of Baghdad.

"It is a disgrace that such a criminal is considered as a member of our nation," the militant said. Then two other masked men held down Ibrahim and a third severed the captive's head with a knife before holding it up to the camera.

Imeil, who said he joined the Iraqi intelligence services four months ago and attended a training course in Jordan, was killed in identical fashion.

Before being beheaded, both victims advised fellow Iraqis working in the intelligence, police, national guard and other services to quit their jobs and "repent to God."

The video can be downladed at the Terrorist Media website, but there is a subscription required.

Forget an Instalanche, I want an Instant Lunch!!

Well, my little Pet Jawa has been amongst the top 100 blogs for months now. I'm getting a lot more traffic than I ever dreamed of. A lot of that traffic is by repeat customers and I'm getting so many comments that a number of people have suggested opening a Jawa discussion forum.

So, why am I still so blue? All this and still no Instalanche!! Validation in the blogosphere, we all know, comes from one source alone.

Well, I'm through with you Glenn Reynolds. No more will I seek the much coveted Instalanche. Instead, I'm going after the much yummier Instant Lunch.

How do the two compare?

Instalanche-immediate spike in traffic, lasting up to 48 hours.
Instant Lunch-immediate spike in sodium level, MSG headache up to 12 hours.

Instalanche-expect at least two or three bloggers to get a kick out of your post and add you to the blogroll.
Insant Lunch-expect at least two or three co-workers to get a kick out of you eating the sh*t they swore they'd never touch again their first day out of college.

Instalanche-a sudden feeling of self-satisfaction knowing that somehow your post drew the attention of the right-blogosphere's top blogger.
Instant Lunch-a sudden feeling of stomach-satisfaction, with the caveat that the empty calories you just scarfed down will leave you lethargic for the rest of the day.

Instalanche-with the sudden spike in traffic you can now up your Blog Ad rate to just under covering your total monthly ISP and blog host bill.
Instant Lunch-with the money you saved by eating cheap MSG laden quasi-Asian food you can now afford to run to the video store and rent the latest Adam Sandler film--only to find that you remember neither the food nor the film in the morning.

*UPDATE: Flea tells me it's an 'Instalanche'. What the h*ll is a lanche anyway? Sounds French.....or Canadian....either way, it does have a very Thurston Howell III air about it. Anyway, I've corrected it.

*the truth is I really did eat ramen-in-a-cup for lunch today. Not kidding. Three words: dee-li-cious!!

France/Germany Don't Want NATO in Afghanistan

So, Senator Kerry, what was that again about building another coalition like the one we had in Afghanistan? Seattle Post Intelligencer:

France and Germany spoke out Wednesday against a U.S. proposal to put NATO in charge of the military and reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan, but U.S. and other officials said the alliance would go ahead and develop options for merging the missions.
What worries me most about Kerry is his immature view of world politics. He seems to have no conception of nations acting in their own interests. Rather, he seems to think that nations act out of friendship. Day one of Intro. to IR: nation's have allies not friends. And alliances--those are forged out of mutual interests.

US Senator Mark Dayton (D-MN) Closes Offices Amid Terrorism Concerns

WAPO originally broke the story:

Sen. Mark Dayton (D-Minn.) said yesterday that he was closing his Capitol Hill office because of security concerns in what appeared to be an atypical response to intelligence information that has been shared with senators about terrorist threats....

"I do so out of extreme, but necessary, precaution to protect the lives and safety of my Senate staff and my Minnesota constituents, who might otherwise visit my office in the next few weeks," Dayton said in a statement announcing the closure.

Dayton said he could not disclose the contents of what he described as a "top-secret intelligence report" presented to senators by Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tenn.). But he added that he based his decision on a "careful review of all available documents" and decided to act on his own after Frist declined to convene a meeting of all senators to discuss the subject.

NEIN, which the nowhere to be found Allah calls 'the world's most alarmist website', cites Dayton as saying: "I would not bring my two sons to the Capitol between now and the election." Many of the news sources I found also connect Dayton's decision leave DC to the revelation that as many as 25 suspected Chechen terrorists have crossed the Mexico-US border.

Dean Esmay Swiftie Interview

Check it out:

DW: Would you use the word "treason" to describe [Kerry's activities]?

GE: No I wouldn't go that far, but in my own mind it comes damned close....

....Where are his discharge papers? He has not put up a copy of his discharge from the naval reserve. That should have taken place in 1978 when his service in all forms was completed.

The press seems to have no interest in this.

Speaking of Kerry's discharge papers....and here, here, here, here, here, and here.
