Dudes like this one knock Pat Robertson into a cocked hat. I'd love to crawl into his skull and figure out his thought processes. Logical fallacies, emotional thinking, flawed assumptions are all common enough, but magical thinking like this would point to schizophrenia if it was coming out of a street bum instead of a cleric.
The exhortations to murder kafir are consistant with the religion, but what inspired him to attempt this in London? Are the 1.5 million Muslims in the U.K. supposed to forcibly convert or slay the other 58.5 million Brits, abolish the C of E, and establish the Islamic Kingdom of Britain? It would be funny to see the Union Jack redone on a crescent motif, but really, how much hash do you have to toke in order to see all this in your mind's eye as a real possibility?
Then there's the Jew thing. It's common to hear Muslims impute fantastic evil powers to Jews, which is sort of understandable when you're reading some rant out of Hejaz where there aren't any, but this nutcase has been living in London for at least 7 years. He must have seen some Jews. Does U.K. have different Jews from the U.S.? I'm thinking of slightly dumpy people with silly hats and East European surnames. If they were truly servants of the dark side of The Force, I'd expect something Goth, like black cowls and blood-red eyes. And if they're pulling all the political strings, why didn't I get to take the day off for Hanukah?
