Bin Laden Reported Dead (Again)

Is bin Laden dead? I've no idea. Let us pray that this time the reports turn out to be true. Michael Ladeen reports over at NRO (hat tip: Ron):

And, according to Iranians I trust, Osama bin Laden finally departed this world in mid-December. The al Qaeda leader died of kidney failure and was buried in Iran, where he had spent most of his time since the destruction of al Qaeda in Afghanistan. The Iranians who reported this note that this year's message in conjunction with the Muslim Haj came from his number two, Ayman al-Zawahiri, for the first time.
What sources, I wonder, does Ladeen have that, say, the CIA doesn't have? Personally I'm not impressed by the unidentified sources. However, a fair amount of circumstantial evidence exists that bin Laden is dead. Evidence, though, is not proof. Until we have a body I will assume otherwise and if bin Laden is still alive I believe we are looking on the wrong continent all together. Try Africa and start with Somalia.

1 I wouldn't trade too much on the CIA's credit if I were you, as they haven't been too much of a going concern since Dhimmi Carter's days.

2 I personally believe OBL has been dead for sometime - but can't proof it beyond a shadow of a doubt. But then again - the same problem exists with proving he's alive. I know this - martyers are worth 15 minutes in reality - myths are eternal.

3 If the dems had their way I bet you would find the bugger in Newark.

4 If and when the bastard dies, why did Allah punish him with death? After all, he's a fairly young man, so he must have done an evil deed for Allah to strike him down prematurely like that. I wonder what it could have been?

5 Buggering camels is my guess.

6 If it's confirmed, Congressional dhimmicrats will probably call for an investigation into his death, with the blame resting squarely on harassment by US forces, for which his family will no doubt sue. Democrats are traitors and should all be shot, and the Republicans should all be charged with dereliction for allowing open treason to continue unchallenged. Shoot or hang all the scum.

7 Hmm..good guess, Rusty, but surely Allah forgives the camel buggerers since that is what He told them to do in the Koran. I wonder if it might have been something else.

8 Something struck me in the following article whenever the AQ operative words were translated, and he referred to Osama bin Laden: "May God 'preserve' him..." That could suggest he is dead. Article here: http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/01/09/060109051601.0pm2jjra.html

10 Marvin I am curious - why do you think that? Any particular evidence to base that on?

Posted by: hondo at January 09, 2006 10:43 PM (3aakz)

11 I agree with Marvin. Due to some anecdotal evidence that happened to fall into my lap, there is 99.9% certainty (at least within the military) that he is alive and in Afganistan.

12 evidence?????????

Posted by: hondo at January 10, 2006 03:00 PM (3aakz)

13 Where is the evidence?

14 They need a boogieman to keep us all fearful and willing to support the war on terror. I have no doubt the CIA knows he is dead, and they know also it does not serve 'the agenda' to report it.
