Yet another example why you filthy infidels are not fit to live. You kill the sick & infirm.
So my brother muslims make the woman wear a burka and we chop heads off pimps and drug dealers and we throw rocks at adulturers and sometimes we whip and hang rapists but youuuuu..... you take a poor sick woman and you starve her to death like a dog forgotten in a kennell.
You are the scum. Try chopping heads off your pimps because it is much better than killing a sick woman in cold blood.

Please say that you have better things to do (such as your ongoing fight with unadulterated evil in its most malevolent and threatening forms) than to get really, really concerned about this muddy issues where both sides have developed arguments that simply aim to one-up each other and claim a moral high ground. Thank you, Jebus.

If we had not fed some iraqi prisoners and they starved to death, there would have been hell to pay. But, it is okay to starve this broad to death because A. She can't talk and B. She aint so hot no mo.

Ah, but I am a-ok with some Iraqi prisoners starving to death. Hell, I figure they would starve to death anyway, so we just act as the hands of Fate. And secondly, I actually favor killing hot chicks more than killing not-so hot chicks. The reasoning is very complex, and requires a few advanced degrees in calculus and forensic science/criminal justice to understand, so I will not elaborate further. Besides, the quicker I die, the quicker I get to be re-born into a snail or something. Rockin'!

Kidney dialysis, oxygen depdndent, pacemakers, hell, let's kill everyone who cannot function without a machine.

Some people claim that Terri is in a coma. She isn't, because she is awake.
Some people claim that Terri is brain dead. Impossible, because she isn't on any machines. The only "machine" she has is a feeding tube in her abdomen since she can't eat. She is brain damaged, not brain dead.
Some people claim that Terri will not be starved to death; she will just be "allowed to die" by being "denied nutrition". Yep, it's just like the euphemisms used for abortion. Make no mistake: TERRI IS BEING STARVED TO DEATH.
Some people claim that this is a family decision to be made between husband and wife. That may be so in a termination of treatment case, but food and water is not medical treatment. This is EUTHANASIA, pure and simple. Terri is being actively killed by being denied basic nutrition.
Some people claim that Michael Schiavo should have the decision to make, euthanasia or no, because he is Terri's loving husband. Loving, huh? Would a loving husband have put Terri's beloved pet cats to sleep after her brain injury? Would a loving husband date other women, become engaged to another woman, and father two children with this other woman, an act of adultery by any standard? Would a loving husband MELT DOWN TERRI'S WEDDING RING to make it into another piece of jewelry? Would a loving husband deny Terri the right to see ANYONE, including her parents, her brother, and even her priest to give her the Eucharist, an extremely important Holy Sacrament to Catholics like Terri? Would a loving husband refuse to allow Terri to have any rehabilitation? Would a loving husband refuse to allow Terri any chance to try eating food, instead opting to starve her to death when it's possible that she could swallow food if they tried to feed her? Would a loving husband refuse to allow Terri to receive even the most basic of care - the brushing of her teeth - resulting in some of her teeth becoming rotten? NO.

JWL: I was totally neutral until reading your post. Most posters merely applied there owns beliefs to every situation. After reading your posts I must say I agree 100%.
Sorry Cindy! You just haven't convinced me. I do understand what you are saying. What if we had a million people like this lady? Then many of those crying to keep her alive would be screaming "do the humane thing and let them go".
One thought for everyone. I have no knowledge of how much it costs to keep this lady alive. Two years ago I was in the hospital for 4 months. The bill $734,000. That did not include the bill for the surgeon of my choice for 5 operations. Could the money be used better? In the end, isn't that what it comes down to. Could this lady be transferred to her parents home for care?
As for me. Let he go quickly. I have no desire to spend what I have earned in an attempt to prolong my life when like wouldn't be worth living. Better to leave the kids something.

Cindy,
I have followed this tragedy for some time. Recently , Terry's parents took out a full page add in a Conservative Catholic newspaper called "The Wanderer". In in they detail all of what JWL says and more.
Michael Schiavo's conduct has not been neglegent, it has been abusive.
His denial of basic dental and hygine care for his "wife" makes no sense unless you believe as I do that he is a sub human (one of 4 I had the displeasure to hear speak yesterday).
In the absence of a written document, I truly do not understand how the State can put this woman to death, a horrible painful death.
Why is turning her care over to her parents not the best option? She would get the spiritual and physical help she needs.
If this was one of my girls, you would see a sceen like Rodney King with 20 cops, tasers and knight sticks a beatin my dumb ass before this scum pulled the lifeline out. I just do not understand how someone can insist on her death. Just makes me sick.
Oh the other 3 subhumans...David Gibbs, the attorney who can now get that new BMW 7 series after the check clears. Henry Waxman the disgusting member of congress and Ron Wyden, the tree huggin senator from Oregon. Ron would kill Terry in a New York minute, but fight to the death to save a ponderosa Pine.

The more I think about it, the more pissed off I get. I don't mind killing. I have killed before. BUT. If the woman must die. Why slowly? By starvation. Shit if it's best for her that she go. Do it quick. Our courts have left rational reasoning behind. The result of liberalism?
I took an old dog to the vet. The vet put him to sleep in my arms. Quickly and without pain or anxiety for $90.00. I volunteer to pay the $90.00 so this woman doesn't have to suffer. What if whats left in her brain realizes what is happening? Starve for weeks.
I don't know. I'm not a doctor. But I do know this.
My 20 yr old daughter is a nurse. She has a 19 year old patient who went into a drug induced coma. He breaths thru a tube in his throat and eats thru a tube in his stomach. My daughter tells me she often sees him crying to himself at night.
So can a doctor that runs through the ward in 10 minutes tell what is happening?

You would change your mind if you heard the gal on Sean Hannity's radio talk show! This woman had a stroke in her brain, and could not do anything....her mind was trapped inside her paralyzed body for 70 days...doctors told the husband to give up....after 70 days, she started coming around.
There was also a woman who woke up from a coma after TWENTY YEARS, also was supposed to be a hopeless case! No one could explain how this could happen. It could happen to Terri too. She will slowly die from dehydration. Murderers die quicker and with more dignity.
This is a right to murder, not a right to die.

This is a family matter and Terri is being used as a political pawn. If you read her medical history you would find that she has no brain activity. Dreamer: The point is that if 4 months in the hospital cost $734,000. How much would 20 years cost?
What happened? In February 2002, I was shot in the stomach by two would be muggers in New Orleans, La. Why? Because I refused to "give it up". Meaning my wallet. I wasn't using my eyes behind my head and got trapped while getting into my car parked on a side street. This was two blocks from Bourbon Str. in the heart of the Quarter (tourist section). Lesson learned. Even when in the company of two tough young bucks shit can happen.
The result. One mugger shot in leg twice and still escaped, only to be caught later at a hospital. Now he's doing life in Angola State prison. The other was never apprehended but was killed by one of his "brothers" in a drug deal 1 month later.
Gun shot wounds are hell but I was lucky until the hospital gave me a infection during the first operation. The infection turned L1, L2 and L3 to mush in only 9 days. This resulted in four more operations to rebuild my back. Bone grafs from both hips (I wouldn't agree to cadaver bones) and a couple of pounds of steel and good as new. But no fun. Since they had to open up both sides for bone graf material. Open up my back to replace various parts this left me without any side to lie on. Remember my stomach already had a hole in it big enough to stick your fist into. Had to heal from the inside out and took 6 months to close. Had to sit up for 6 months in leather chair, as no side left to lay on. The bone infection required two anti-biotics at a time, 7 days a week, 24 hrs a day for 3 mos. Which means you cannot eat as all the good bugs die with the bad bugs.
Moral of story. (1)Do not leave your Smith & Wesson under the seat of your car. Better to be caught with it than without it.
(2) When going into operating room ask Emergency Room medical staff if they have washed their hands recently. Believe me the infection was a lot worse than the bullet.
(3) Going 6 months without beer and sex is hell.
(4) Locals from the getto can do what the cong couldn't.
Anyway all is now well and stronger than ever. Does back work? Try pulling in a 150 Lb yellow fin tuna.
To overweight people. Wish to lose 65 lbs in 4 months? Get shot in stomach. Works every time.

Seems there are conflicting reports as to Terri's "cognizance" (spelling?). The husband says there is NO response, and the parents say she smiles, laughs, and follows them with her eyes!!
Why is the husband so adamant about pulling the plug on her? He's already fathered two kids with the girlfriend, why doesn't he wash his hands of it and let the parents care for her? Without something in writing, legally, the courts SHOULD intervene on Terri's behalf!
And if not, why do they have to let her slowly die? Bring in Kervorchian and let her die quickly and painlessly, if she's got to go. Even animals are treated with more dignity.
The husband says this is a personal matter and that the courts should stay out of it...oh yeah? So, if I kill my husband because I find out he's cheating on me, I am justified in doing so, because it's a personal matter and the courts should leave me alone??
It's not a personal matter to end someone's life!!! Kudos to Bush for cutting short his trip and flying back to Washington to help out.

Although it pains me to say it “again”, Chicken Little is right that society is so stupid that we will humanely put an animal out of their misery but we will allow our fellow men, (and women), to die an agonizing death. If there is no hope, then lets stop the suffering as mercifully as possible.
As far as the situation with Terri is concern, I believe that this should be a Florida affair. I am sure the Florida's state government and judicial system is quite capable of handling the matter. My personal opinion, I think that Michael should of taken the million and handed over all rights to TerriÂ’s parents. Let him start a new life, which is exactly what he has already done.
Chicken Little, all I can say is what a waste of $734,000. Maybe if the genius in critical care new what a racist pig loving Klansman you are, maybe you would of not been so lucky. Well, we can always hope that the 3rd time is a charm.

I just don't understand why this so called loving husband is so adamant about ending her life. If he had all these rights, wouldn't Terri already have expired? If he is the guardian and has power of attorney, how come her parents are able to stop him every time?
Why has this been allowed to go on for 15 yrs.? Sounds like these families are being selfish and want to win their case. OK, so let the husband give total control to Terri's parents, what's the big deal? Oh that's right....she told him she wouldn't want to be kept alive under those circumstances. How can we honor that request when there is nothing in writing to prove it? So we should just go by what he said and pull the plug? And, it's not a plug, it's nutrition, not a respirator! Removing the tube is starvation, plain and simple. We don't allow animals to die that way at the local shelters. Terri deserves more dignity than that!
Why should Dr. Kervorchian be arrested when Michael Schiavo's being allowed to kill his wife? If she has to go, I say do it with an injection, like they do the death row inmates.
The starvation method is cruel, inhumane and just wrong, morally, ethically, etc.

did a quick search on "terri schiavo's cats" after seeing it on a protesters sign in a video...if what i read is true there is good reason to suspect that terri's husband was violent to her possibly causing her condition. meaning if he had been criminally charged with assaulting or abusing her he'd be praying she would survive so he wouldn't be up for murder1. terri's parents apparently offered to take her cats and michael had them put down instead. also that he allegedly lived off her income at times & couldn't hold down a job, checked up on her, etc. I used to think "why did he wait so long to come out with this she didn't want to be kept alive thing" but otherwise give her pain drugs to make her end merciful, and let her go. now i still think that re terri but i now suspect michael is trying like mad--and will probably succeed-with finishing off a murder he started years ago, and nobody can do a damn thing about it. nobody charged him with abusing terri all those years ago, and the domestic violence laws we have today probably weren't in existence when terri needed them. do the same search i did and see if you don't think something stinks.

"My infant son seems to have about the same mental capacity as Terri. I dare any one of you to try starve him to death......" First of all, Terri has much less mental capacity than your infant son. Second, I hope when your infant son is on life support in a hospital your political enemies and religious fanatics come out of the woodwork to take YOUR decisions away from you. And third, Terri's own father pulled the plug on his mother after a WEEK, and Tom DeLay pulled the plug on his own father after less than a MONTH, so anyone who thinks they're doing this for anything but political reasons is lying to themselves. You can read about it at the L.A. Times.
