"Nasar is best known for his writings," the official said. But the official added, "We're better off that he's captured."

Background info on Nasar.

2 The idiot attacks anyone. Syria, America, Spain, England, Saddam. Makes no difference to him. As long as (GOOD MUSLIMS) continue to pay the bill those like him will continue to plague the world. My point! Who pays for his travel and upkeep?

3 Imagine that we keep finding our enemies harbored amongst our greatest "ally" in the region. Imagine, indeed.

4 Then it's a good thing they are our ally or there would be more in that region.

5 Actually, I think that Ernie is right about the Pakistan government. A part of it is engaging the terrorists hiding in the tribal region of Pakistan, and another is sympathetic toward the terrorists. But everyone must remember here that we have people in the US engaged in supporting the terrorists, financially and otherwise, traitors to their own country, walking the streets and continuing to help our enemy. I don't think we should hold the Musharaff government to a higher standard than what we hold our own.

6 Unfortunately a government suffering from bipolar disorder is not able to run a country, especially when it comes to matters of national security. You can't have one branch arresting terrorists while the other recruits and arms them. It will never work. Yes the Pakistanis have been responsible for most of the major arrests in that region, but like the Saudis, I don't think that they have earned the right yet to be cut any slack. Besides, this isn't about the Pakistani government believing that terrorism is an evil that needs to be stopped, it's about a regime that's under some pressure to clean up it's part of this mess (not just a regional mess, but a global one) and appear somewhat reformed so as to not become a pariah. A.Q. Khan sold nuclear know how to the Iranians and who knows who else, with the full knowledge of the Pakistani government. Will he face prosecution by a world body? No, since the Pakistani government has categorically stated that they will not be giving him up. Is he living out his retirement years quietly? Probably not. So in conclusion, the criminal may have ratted out some of his buddies and seemingly cleaned up his act, but that doesn't mean that he should be given the keys to the vault.

7 Graeme: The key word here may be "captured in Pakistan". We have our Gregs and Downing Street Morons they have their terrorists. Same thing.
