UN Director General Puts His Foot Down.

See it, It’s coming down! Hold on... ...Here it comes. Wait for it,.....almost there. The UN official in charge of nuclear inspections under the Non Proliferation Treaty will declare Iran “out of compliance” on March 6th.

Mohammed ElBaradei, the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency Via Telegraph UK : "We are coming to the litmus test in the next few weeks," he said in an interview in Newsweek magazine.

"Diplomacy has to be backed by pressure and, in extreme cases, by force," he said. "We have rules. We have to do everything possible to uphold the rules through conviction. If not, then you impose them. Of course, this has to be the last resort, but sometimes you have to do it."

He gave Iran seven weeks to answer the IAEA's outstanding questions - including intelligence reports of secret work on nuclear warheads.

If Iran did not comply by March 6, Mr ElBaradei said he would formally declare that his investigation had reached a dead end.

Huh, “Dead End?”. Who would have thought? Reports that if Iran does not comply it will, "Be grounded and sent to bed without supper for a whole year!", were unconfirmed.

An Exploitative Martin Luther King Day

ACLU Compares MLK To Terrorist Suspects
Jay at Stop The ACLU notes a new fullpage ad in the Washington Post taken out by the ACLU. The ad compares surveillance of terrorist suspects receiving overseas calls from known al Qaeda terrorists to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. MLK is morally equivalent to terrorists, nice message.

Al Gore Compares MLK To Terrorist Suspects
Speaking on Martin Luther King Day, the former Vice President took advantage of the opportunity to fly into one of his patented femmy snits and launch an attack on the President, again, comparing FBI wiretapping of Dr. King to NSA monitoring of al Qaeda terrorists. Wasn't the wiretapping of Dr. King carried out by Democratic administrations? Whoops.

New Orleans Mayor Compares Blacks To 'Chocolate'
And finally, New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin used his MLK Day pulpit to say that "God is mad at America" and declare that New Orleans will once again be a "chocolate city". The mayor was speaking of the racial makeup of the city, which was 60% black prior to Hurricane Katrina. No crackers wanted - unless you're tourists with money.

Somebody has to take the fall: Sexual Harassment at the Naval Academy?

CDR Salamander has this expose about the court marshall of Lt. Bryan Black for "sexual harassment". Apparently the vulgar language=sexual harrassment crowd has taken over our nation's most foul-mouthed institution. Clearly this is not my grandfather's Navy.

About that Wondrous Caliphate

Muslims never tire of telling you how back in the good-ol-days of the Caliphate Christians, Jews, and Muslims got along like peas in a pod. A description of Jerusalem ca 1700:

The Muslims do not allow entry to the Temple area to any member of another faith, unless he converts to their religion-- for they claim that no member of another religion is sufficiently pure to enter this holy spot. [more] ..

No Jew or Christian is allowed to ride a horse, but a donkey is permitted, for [in the eyes of Muslims] Christians and Jews are inferior beings [more]

Did they have iPod's in the Dark Ages?

Apparently Iran's President think's the West is living in the Dark Ages. For some reason I get the feeling he's not talking about all the ludites still using Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Gray Lady's 30 Layers of Editors Screw Up Again

Thomas Lifson at The American Thinker points us to this photo (which can still be seen here).

fakenytphoto2.jpg

This is the caption that ran with the photo originally:

“Pakistani men with the remains of a missile fired at a house in the Bajur tribal zone near the Afghan border.”
What the New York Time's editors failed to notice is that the object is not part of a missile, but an old artillery shell. In fact, the sort of thing that terrorists use to make improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The caption was corrected after its propaganda value had been exploited.

Isn't it odd that the NYT's 'errors' always seem to be on the side of America's enemies?

Tehran Follies

Isn't this a bit like banning the chearleading squad from the stadium right before the Big Game?

CNN issued a correction after it translated the president as saying Iran had a right to use nuclear "weapons" rather than nuclear "technology".

Freudian slip?

CNN gets it right by getting it wrong, then corrects itself by getting it even wronger.

[that last sentence gave me a headache, I'm going back to bed. Yes, I know there's no such word as "wronger"]

A 'Gentle' Jihad?

Rhymes with Right reports on Muslim efforts to take over a Catholic primary school in Scotland:

AN ISLAMIC campaign group has called for a Catholic primary school to be based on the Muslim faith.

The Campaign for Muslim Schools said 90 per cent of pupils at St Albert's Primary, in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow, are Muslim, yet children are having to take part in Catholic rituals like saying the Lord's Prayer and attending mass.

Osama Saeed, co-ordinator of the alliance of Glasgow's main mosques and Muslim organisations, said he could see no reason why the main faith of the school should not change.

Have the highlanders (many of whom still believe that Bonnie Prince Charlie is the rightful king of Scotland) been socialized to the point where they'll let this pass? Good question. Better question: why doesn't Osama start his own school?

Senators From Both Parties: Military Strike Against Iran Must Be An Option

Senators McCain and Bayh both said today that the US must not discard the possibilty of military action against Iran's nuclear program as a last resort. It's nice to know that at least two Senators recognize the danger of a nuclear-armed theocracy led by mad mullahs with Apocalyptic aspirations.

From Breitbart:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican and Democratic senators said on Sunday the United States may ultimately have to undertake a military strike to deter Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, but that should be the last resort.

"That is the last option. Everything else has to be exhausted. But to say under no circumstances would we exercise a military option, that would be crazy," Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona said on CBS's "Face the Nation."

Democratic Sen. Evan Bayh of Indiana, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said there are sensitive elements of Iran's nuclear program, which, if attacked, "would dramatically delay its development."

The trouble will come, of course, in deciding when all other options have been exhausted.

Iran calls for “Scientific Conference” on Holocaust.

Just a glimpse of what life may like if no one stands against Iran. Oh look there he is right above me.

CNN : "There will be a conference that will research the topic of the Holocaust and all its dimensions in the future," according to a statement on the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

In other words once the Caliphate is established we will dump the Holocaust down the Islamic Information Hole. I suggest he take this class.

The Uk has been negotiating for 14 months and every bit of co-operation has been used as an opportunity to advance our defeat! The hope is that we will all get to come home. The truth is that no matter how much we want that the enemy wants war even more. What choice has the world been left with?

Via Rusty Via Ace Via Allah via Iran focus: Iran’s hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Thursday evening that the Islamic Republic’s 1979 Islamic revolution was a great movement and a stepping stone to a final “great event” in the world. Speaking to a crowd in the southern city of Roudan, Hormozgan province, Ahmadinejad said, “The Islamic Republic is the continuation of the path of the prophets which came to begin a great movement and the final occurrence”.

$Set Sarcasm

Surely the Right is just overreacting. Surely the left can afford to sell out our Nation to get the White House itÂ’s not really treason.

$Pop Sarcasm

Well maybe you wonÂ’t have a White House to win. IÂ’ve never heard of Muslims really hot to join the Democratic Party as a means to get there.

Mirror UK : Abu al-Hamza "Once you are in the place of authority, you have to think who are the most immediate enemies. This requires the setting up of a "buffer zone" which then becomes a 'control zone'. "This continues so on and so forth, until you see the caliph sitting in the White House ruling from there."

Yes you heard him right, “Sitting in the White House”.

Separating Wheat From Chaff

Hmmmm...

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - A dinner invitation to al Qaeda's second-in-command triggered a U.S. airstrike in Pakistan's tribal region but Ayman al-Zawahri failed to show up, Pakistani intelligence officials said on Sunday.

Is this the same Pakistani intelligence that supported the Taliban? Why, yes it is.

How many missiles can a Predator drone carry? One. Several different types of munitions, now. Thanks Brass.

How many were fired based on initial reports? 10.

How many does this article say? 4

What did the so-called witnesses originally say? They say they saw American planes in the air just prior to the bombings.

Does a Pakistani F-16 look just like an American F-16?

This gets curiouser and curiouser.

I'm no conspiracy theorist, but I'm looking at events in the news, connecting dots, as it were, and asking questions.

Why is Iran suddenly so brazen?

Why is Kim Jong Il suddenly travelling around Asia?

What good would it do for Musharraf to suddenly embarass the U.S.?

I don't know.

But I have a bad feeling that this is going to be the year that Islam rises, with help from its atheistic supporters, in an attempt to re-establish the Caliphate.

If you want to have a laugh, look at the moonbat's theory that Osama would never cooperate with secular Saddam. Then look at the arms and armament China and North Korea have supplied to Islamic countries.

Islam is patient, Islam is unrelenting, Islam will not be stopped until it is utterly crushed.

The man who knew too much

"Heh, yeah, Mehmet, you won't see him no more!"

If this is a man who can tell the world who was behind the assassination attempt on Pope John Paul II, I don't expect he'll be checking in with his parole officer any time soon, either because he's scared to, or because he can't.

Huh?

Fascinating:

While we're short of a clash of civilizations, we should not pretend that most of the Islamic world shares our values.

Read the Koran, the Sunnah, and the Hadith. Listen to the imams preaching from the mosques on every Friday.

We're not short of a clash of civilizations, this clash has been going on for 1400 years. Islam clashes with every civilization it has come in contact with since Mohammed sucked on the hookah and claimed to see Gabriel.

On the other hand, with respect to Mr. Joyner, I'll grant him this. There isn't a clash of civilizations because Islam has yet to be civilized.
