I pledge allegiance to the flag of the Unites States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all. CNN:

U.S. District Judge Lawrence Karlton ruled that the pledge's reference to one nation "under God" violates school children's right to be "free from a coercive requirement to affirm God

Freedom Fighters Murder Child, Booby Trap Body in Tel Afar

Here are the Left's freedom fighters at work in Iraq. Who are we fighting in Iraq? Extremists who are working to create a Taliban-like state.

"When the terrorists took over the city," the commander of the Third Armored Cavalry Colonel H.R. McMasters said in a State Department briefing yesterday, "they replaced all the imams from the mosques with Islamic extremist laymen; replaced all teachers from the schools with people who "preached hatred and intolerance"; and kidnapped and murdered large numbers of people, "including a Sunni Turkmen imam and a city councilman who was shot about 30 times to the head in front of his family.

"The enemy here did just the most horrible things you can imagine," McMasters said, "in one case murdering a child, placing a booby trap within the child's body and waiting for the parent to come recover the body of their child and exploding it to kill the parents." more...

Losing the War on Terror One Website at a Time

We won the battle in Afghanistan. We will win the battle in Iraq. But will we win the war on terror? Not without fighting it on its most important field of battle: the internet. Aaron at Internet Hagganah has an important essay:

Afghanistan was invaded.

It had to be done.

It had to be done, and it was not enough.

So it is with the Internet.

There's more. more...

Bin Laden Said to be Dying (UPDATE: Military Denies Report)

Jawa Report readers will recall that on Sept. 7th we received information that some major news would be coming out of Afghanistan in the following weeks. At the time we labeled our information 'a rumor' since we could not confirm it. Today, Ed Morrissey notices that more rumors out of Afghanistan have begun to percolate to the mainstream media.

The Jawa Report, one step ahead in reporting unsubstantiated rumors.....(thanks to tip from source that wishes to remain anonymous)

WTW Cube Farm Living, Crimson Love Monkey Edition

Yes my company is having an open house this week. We are all supposed to remove any and all traces of personality from our work area. You know make it look just so. The man has sent down orders that all goofy stuff is to come down. My Aussie cube mate and I have formed a rebellion against this evil. For where ever there is a cube we fight for freedom.

Aussie refuses to take down his love monkey.

Howie refuses to take down the Tower of Stupidity.

.Will it last? Who will win this war of personality? We face a long struggle against a powerful enemy. Here is some background on the tower of stupidity. ItÂ’s my little 9/11 memorial and also a fun way to have a flag stick up over my cube. On 9/12 we came to work and every cube had a little flag on it. See the small flag on the left hand side itÂ’s an original 9/12 toothpick flag. Worked a couple weekends after that and built the tower from happy meals via my bosses daughters. ItÂ’s been standing nearly four years and it will be standing longer. Should Aussie dude and I loose this battle rest assured that as soon as the tourists are gone both the tower and the crimson love monkey will return to their rightful place in our cubes along with my hot Marge Simpson poster. Also for those of you who care Howie did start up that new batch of fine wine this week. Due date on the booze is 10/31. The love monkey was a gift from Aussie's new bride.

Updated: Guess who's coming to the open house Ernie Fletcher. No comment. Well maybe below the break.

Feeling Sorry

I'm feeling sorry today. I'm feeling sorry for the families of everyone they are finding dead. I'm feeling sorry for those poor older folks who were left to die in a nursing home. I'm feeling sorry for everyone who has to stare at a ruin where their house used to be and wonder what they're going to do next. I'm feeling sorry for Bush. Before he stood up and took responsibility for any wrongdoing (he's a better man than I ever could be), he knew that he would get nothing but grief over it from both sides of the asile.

But mainly I'm feeling sorry for the country. New Orleans has shown us a lot about ourselves and the direction in which we are headed. During 9/11, we saw firefighters and policemen running INTO harm's way. Now, we see them turning in their badges and joining with the criminals. During 9/11, we all came together. Democrats and Republicans, Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, Irish, English, it didn't matter. We were all in this together until it was over. But now, as soon as the hurricane hit, we had politicians and politician-wanna-bes stepping up to play politics and see how they could play this natural disaster to their favor. Some, such as Hillary Clinton, were doing it to promote their agenda and attempt to smear any Republican that they could. Others, such as the mayor and governor were attempting to save face in light of horrendous errors on their part. Still others, such as Jesse Jackson and the others who started crying "race" were simply trying to keep their sway over the masses. more...

Terrorists Murder Over 100 Civilians in Iraq

al_qaeda_murders_hundreds_car_bombings.jpg
Terrorists in Iraq has claimed responsibility for a series of bombings that killed over 100 civilians in Iraq today. Reports from the scene conflict as to the actual total of people killed in today's mass murder spree, but a single car bomb is said to have killed at least 88 and wounded 227 in a mostly Shi'ite neighborhood of Baghdad.

Media reports indicate that al Jazeera is reporting that al Qaeda has claimed responsibility for the mass murders. No specific claim, though has been made, but al Qaeda may have alluded to the deadly attacks:

The conquest of revenge for the Sunni people of Tal Afar has started," Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's al-Qaida Organisation in the Land of Two Rivers said in the statement, whose authenticity could not be verified.

It said its "brigades" had launched a series of attacks, led by its elite "martyrdom-seeking" brigade.

The statement did not claim responsibility for any of the suicide bombings, only promising to "release more (details), God willing, as soon as news comes in of the operations in Baghdad and other cities".

Such statements are an almost daily occurence from the terror organization. It would not be beneath al Jazeera, though, to report in their Arab language broadcast that al Qaeda had claimed the attack and then changed the story for their English versionn.

Reports are mixed, but between five and ten more bombs targetting civilians were heard around Baghdad this morning.

Elsewhere, gunmen entered a village, rounded up those suspected of 'collaboration' and murdered them.

Gunmen wearing military uniforms, meanwhile, surrounded a village north of Baghdad early Wednesday and killed 17 men, police said.

Police Lt. Waleed al-Hayali, in Taji, 10 miles north of Baghdad, said the gunmen detained the victims after searching the village. They were handcuffed, blindfolded and shot. The dead included one policeman and others who worked as drivers and construction workers for the U.S. military, said al-Hayali. [source]

These reports come as Iraqi troops, with U.S. backing, take control of al Qaeda safe havens along the Syrian border.

Lawlessness in Gaza, Riots in N. Ireland: Bush and FEMA to Blame

(Gaza Strip) Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas has promised to put an end to "armed chaos" in the Gaza Strip, a day after the withdrawal of Israeli troops.

"No-one is above the law," Mr Abbas said in a televised speech.

"If these were white people stuck in Gaza," Abbas continued, "I donÂ’t have any [bleep]ing doubt there would have been every single helicopter, every plane, every single means that the U.S. government has to help these people."

Civil Rights groups in Gaza, such as Islamic Jihad and Hamas, have harshly criticized President Bush's FEMA team for their poor handling of the Gaza situation.

Community leader and Hamas spokesperson Mushir al-Masri was pleased at the announced resignation of FEMA chief Michael Brown Monday, but said the move did not go far enough.

"50 years of Zionist occupation and all the President could do was accept Michael Brown's resignation? Where was FEMA when they were needed? Did they send us money? No. Weapons? No. The least Bush could have done was send one of the twins for a martyrdom operation, inshallah." more...

57% of College Girls Want Sex with Angelina Jolie

A new survey by Playboy indicates that while only 54% of college coeds would cheat on their boyfriends with Brad Pitt, 57% would hook up with Angelina Jolie. Who can blame them?

Flash News:

HereÂ’s some kinky news for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie: A lot of female college students want to sleep with them. Both of them.

According to Playboy magazine, 54 percent of college gals would cheat on their boyfriend with Pitt and 57 percent want to get jiggy with Jolie.

In other Angelina Jolie related polls (hey, pollsters have to do something in off-election years too!), 27 percent of 18-59 year old women say that they would 'most like to resemble Anglina Jolie in the bedroom'.

In an unscientific poll conducted by The Jawa Report, 100% of husbands say they wish their wives would resemble Angelina Jolie in the bedroom, too. The margin of error in our poll is plus or minus zero percent. more...

Death Sentence for Aussie Embassy Bombing

It's about time is all I can say. I've seen some terrorists get like 3 days per victim. Looks like Iwan Darmawan will get his just deserts. But wait appeal in progress. It's also worth while to note that many local Indonesians were killed in this bombing. I can't help but wonder what the sentence would have been if the vast majority would have been Aussies.

"Your punishment will be worse than mine," Darmawan shouted as he was being led to a prison van.

I doubt that Mr. Darmawan, death right back at you sir. Inthebullpen has more.

Rois(aka Mr. Darmawan) said he would be happy to die. He was defiant before the verdict, saying that the bombing could be justified as defending Islam

Ok so we're all happy, good deal.

Chemical Attack in Iraq?

There is no confirmation of the report, only a claim made by a group. If they actually used chemical weapons, they were ineffective as no injuries were reported from the attack on the Green Zone. The same group had threatened to use chemical weapons on Sept. 11th.

SITE:

In a statement issued today, September 13, 2005, The Victorious Army Group, [Jeish al-Ta'eifa al-Mansoura], claims to have fired chemical rockets today at several targets in Baghdad, including the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Green Zone, and the Security Academy. According to the message, the explosions “shook the whole capital Baghdad,” and ambulances were seen carrying away the dead of the “converters.” The group indicates: “Here are the mujahideen rockets hitting the converters’ dens as a response to the evil thing done by them in Tal Afar.”
What bodies?

AKI:

For the first time, terrorists linked to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi are claiming to have struck the Iraqi capital Baghdad with chemical weapons. The claim was made in a statement published on the Internet by Islamic group al-Taifa Mansura (The Victorious Side) which is part of the al-Qaeda network and close to its Iraqi representative, al-Zarqawi.
As we reported earlier, the group responsible is not related to al Qaeda, even though various media reports make the claim. See this from al Qaeda.

The same group last Sunday threatened to attack the Green Zone in Baghdad with missiles containing chemical warheads unless the Americans halted the ongoing offensive against the city of Telafar.

A short while ago, in a second statement the group claimed responibility for missile attacks on central Baghdad from 8.30am till 10am local time on Tuesday morning. The message alleged that chemical weapons hit the interior ministry, the foreign ministry and the American training school which is also located in the heavily fortified Green Zone....

The firing of five rockets was confirmed by an Islamic site close to the Baathist-inspired guerrillas - islammemo - which referred to at least four rockets with chemical warheads. The site, which tends to publish unreliable biased news reports, celebrates it as the first chemical attack in Iraq."

With recent news that the US might respond to the use of WMD with a nuclear strike, now would be a good time for Syria and Iran to rethink their present course of supporting the terrorists.

All they are worried about is this race thing. It doesnÂ’t look that way to me because there are just as many whites here as blacks.

Dave Chappelle: I'm back, b*tch!

Dave Chappelle is back, only this time he's not funny.

AP

Comedian Dave Chappelle, who walked away from his hit TV series earlier this year, said working in front of smaller audiences is more his speed. Chappelle sold out 10 shows at a northern Kentucky club and said doing standup is "like I'm hanging out with a bunch of people."...

Chappelle has said he was unhappy with the direction of his show. His decision triggered reports that he had mental or drug problems, which he denied. "It was a little weird," he told the newspaper. "It felt like some of the stuff was real tabloid, like raw speculation. "It was like stuff I would normally buy and believe," he added, laughing. "I just took it as a learning experience. It was like becoming a public person and learning all the responsibility that comes with that."

Yeah, I didn't like the direction either. Not enough Rick James humor in season two. And season three would have been much worse. Not alot that is funny about Elijah Muhammed or Malcolm X.

We miss the funny Dave. Come back soon.

Lodi Terror Suspects Face Bail Hearing

Two of the Lodi terror suspects are up for bail. This is the third bail hearing they've been granted. In the first two hearings they were denied.

The Hayat's lawyers are arguing that the pair are not a threat to the community because they have not been charged with a violent crime. They have been charged only with lying on their immigrant forms. Which, of course, seems like a pretty non-violent and relatively minor crime.

What the lawyers fail to mention, though, is that the specific lie they are charged with denying that they ever supported violent jihad against the U.S. and never attended al Qaeda training camps. Nope, no threat here.

California mafia is covering the story extensively.
