Sweden Reduces Terrorism Sentences

An appeals court in Sweden has cut the sentence of two Ansar al-Islam terrorists. Apparently Seven years is too harsh in Sweden for financing murder in Iraq. Meanwhile, an offshoot of Ansar al-Islam is practicing for jihad in Sweden where it claims to have found 'safe-haven'.

Swedish Radio International:

The two have been found guilty of collecting and transferring more than 148,000 US dollars to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who leads al-QaidaÂ’s operations in Iraq, the Ansar al-Islam group, and other suspected terrorists in Iraq. They were linked to the December 2003 suicide bombing in Arbil, which took 4 lives.

They were sentenced by a lower court to 6 and 7 years imprisonment respectively, but the Stockholm Appeals Court changed the sentences to 4 and a half and 5 years, with permanent bans from entering Sweden after they are released.

The Local:
The Svea Court of Appeal has reduced the sentence given to two Iraqi Kurds, despite upholding their convictions for terror-related offences.

A 29 year old imam from Stockholm had his seven year sentence cut to five years, while a 25 year old asylum seeker based in Malmö now faces four years and six months behind bars instead of six years.

After they have served their sentence, both will be deported and banned from returning to Sweden.

Our friends, the Swedes.

1 This is hardly a surprising developement given what has been going on in Sweden. It will be the first European state to fall to radical Islam. The Swedes have closed their eyes hoping that the Muslims in their country will integrate into Swedish society or suddenly lose their religious fervor. Neither will happen, and the Muslims will just become more aggresive. It is already happening, thus the reduction of jail sentences is more proof despite the denials.

2 Every time Reuters or AP does a sob story on rendition and weaves it into their torture narrative saving the perjoratives for the US: kidnap vs apprehend, torture vs questioning, we must demand an accounting of the European judicial authorities success rate in terrorism cases.

3 Well, how much time in jail do people who financially support the KKK, neo-nazis or skinheads get, for example? None, some won't even get branded racist. Funding terrorists who don't target the average whitey leads to no punishments, so in the interrest of racial equality you're all so fond of (except grey cock-a-doodle-doo, to my knowledge at least), funding terrorists who target the average whitey too should go unpunished.

4 Hence, we have the argument that two wrongs actually do make a right.

5 Sweden, sooner or later (probably later) will arrive at the same panic stricken question Holland is beginning to ask . . "what do we do with all these Ragheads?" They have become the "Fleas on the Dog" and a lot of the Western Europeans are beginning to see the great Islamic Immigration, not as Immigration, but an Invasion! Do ya think they might've waited a little too long? Heh, heh . . . .

6 A Finn has a lack of knowledge in his comment and I can help educate him. I believe that white supremacist organizations breaking the law have received a plethora of sentences including death. And many have been killed in shootouts with law enforcement(the Order, an offshoot of Aryan Nation) comes directly to mind. The KKK has basically been destroyed by taking of its property(including cash funds and real estate) during a series of court interventions in the 80s and 90s. Any skinhead committing a crime has and will be punished and jailed for their crimes. As for what anyone in the US says or thinks, we have free speech guaranteed by the 1st Amendment to the Constitution. It has worked well for over 200 years. You can say what you want here in the US, but a line is drawn with your actions. To say these people you allude to are not punished shows an ignorance of the US that I didn't expect from one who seems so knowledgeable and well educated.

8 Joey, of course the active members get punished, but you still have not given any reason to believe that there's punishment for the passive people giving them money. Oyster, two wrongs do make a right, that's what everything is based on. Terrorists attacked you, so you get to attack terrorists. Someone calls you a bitch in public and you steal their money through a process of standardized system of organized crime. Microsoft wastes your harddrive space with useless pricey software, so you switch to using free clones of them. "Artists" demand large sums of money for the abstract concept of "their" art, so everyone gets reasonably good forgeries of it instead. It's the basic principle of life: There is always the same amount of happiness, so when you're happy it's out of someone elses happiness (find a dollar, someone lost a dollar, eat a donut, someone doesn't get to eat the donut). Two wrongs make a right is all about removing the other ones happiness to make you happier after your happiness has been taken. Revenge is getting your happiness back with interest.

9 Oh brother, A Finn, I don't believe I've ever heard that particular philosophy you ascribe to. Hope I never hear it again.

10 A Finn: After long and careful consideration I have decided you are an asshole. A young punk who really doesn't know anything about the world. Just a blabbermouth who has never been anywhere or experienced anything. Look at your above article again, look in the mirror and you will see what I have. The Swedes will solve the muslim problem. But it looks like one Finn is going butts up for them. Hope you enjoy it.

11 Congratulations, greyrooster, once again you managed to think I'm proterrorist just because I'm not prodarkiehater and make a odd comment. For all I care, screw every kind of hater and evvk for everyone else, not my problem if they got problems and if someone tries to make it my problem, they shall be utterly decimated. Oh yes, and nice of you to finally admitting that I'm not the most pleasant person.

12 As I said. Hope you are enjoying it. It's not hate. It's merely the truth. Most liberals don't know the difference.
