Rory Carroll released tells story.

Mike Pechar reported Wednesday that Rory Carroll a reporter for the UK guardian had been kidnapped in Baghdad. Rory was held 36 hours before his release was secured. Today Roy tells his story.

CNN:I was also afraid that I would be handed over to another gang which would have bought me from the original gang. This other gang could turn out to be an insurgent group who in the past had beheaded Western hostages for propaganda purposes. That was my main concern.

Oh you bet. Glad to hear Rory is safe.

3 Well, Howie, what's a few dollars between friends? This whole setup smells to me(very much like a skunk), and I'm thinking that this whole episode is a cover for something else. Of course, with the MSM out of the reporting(I said reporting, not propaganda) business we may never find out.

4 If Chalabi is handing out money I guess we know where that came from Remember when "Curveball" was selling us the info about the mobile biological labs ?

7 "Curveball" was the name given to one of Chalabi's main intel sources. Curveball provided the hand drawn diagrams of the "mobile biological weapons labs". That was when Chalabi was running the Iraqi National Government (in exile). Even though most of his info never held up he was rewarded with THE plum job in Iraq, Oil Minister. A ra ther slippery character his bank in Jordan the Petra Bank folded owing 100's of millions. ANYTHING to do with Chalabi is smoke and mirrors. Chalabi paid the ransom, but as likely paid for the kidnapping. He always works both sides .

8 I don't know, John. There is something going on here. I wish Al-Guardian would tell us more about the real story. I believe that Carroll was kidnapped because he found out something, and was released when the newspaper agreed not to publish. Just a theory, but it provides a motive for the kidnapping and quick release.
