Zarqawi's al Qaeda Threatens to Murder Egyptian Ambassador
A communique today released by Abu Musab al Zarqawi's al Qaeda in Iraq has threatened to murder the Egyptian Ambassador to Iraq. The group also
posted images of Ihab el-Sherif's identification cards.
According to another statement, Sherif has been sentenced by a Sharia (religious law) court for apostasy because of Egypt's alliance "with Christians and Jews." The statement claimed Sherif had been turned over to al Qaeda fighters "to carry out the punishment of apostasy against him." The punishment for apostasy under Islamic law is death. The group often beheads it's victims after forcing them to confess to various crimes under Islamic law.
Al Qaeda routinely murders Muslims who work with the Iraqi government, which they consider an 'apostate' regime. The group also videotapes the murders and posts them on the internet.
Yesterday, al Qaeda had claimed responsibility for Saturday's kidnapping of Sherif.
Al Qaeda in Iraq also released a new audio tape of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi which reluctantly calls on women to join the jihad because of a lack of enough man-power and announced the formation of a new al Qaeda wing to fight Shia militias in Iraq.

Personally I can't wait for them to display Zarqawi's dead body on a slab, ala Ouday and Qusay, no sending that guy to Gitmo for Chicken and fluffy rice.

Seriously, why don't they strap a GPS on one of OUR special forces guys and let him be kidnapped? Then we could find this motherfu-ker, tie him on a pole, skin him alive and roll him in salt. Then show the tape at mecca for all to see.

Rather than make this a post that will get lost and buried in a couple of weeks, wouldn't it make sense to post this on the left-hand frame somewhere so it's always up? That way it could be updated regularly and people wouldn't have to dig through the archives within a couple of weeks.

Did the Video ever get released? I don't remember ever seeing it anywhere. If it was poor enough for the State Department / Department of Defense to call it inconclusive I would imagine it didn't have any identifying characteristics at all.
He was also captured in the same attack as Tim Bell, is it likely they don't share the same fate?
I guess if we're going on that basis too, we could list Michael Scott Speicher too who is also listed Missing / Captured.
