of an interview with Giuliana Sgrena yesterday. Sylvia Poggioli, in typical NPR fashion, let's Sgrena's inconsistencies pass. Here is a transcript of the lie I caught Sgrena telling:
Had Poggioli been doing her job and checked Sgrena's story with one of the versions of her story she told in the past, she would have immediately caught the lie. Here is what Sgrena says in her own
Which is it Sgrena? The US says they attempted to slow the vehicle down by shining a warning light at the car. Sgrena originally admits that this is the case, but then changes her mind later. Why? Because the tale she tells NPR is much more damning than the orignial tale she told which on this one point meshes with the

. But many of her inconsistencies can be accounted for as mere differences of perception. This one, though, is an out-and-out lie.
Can some one please remind me why US taxpayers are paying Sylvia Poggioli's salary if she believes her job is to smear the good name of US soldiers and repeat the lies and inconsistencies of a woman actively working for their deaths?

And how do you explain that the 8 holes, (and not hundreds as sgrena said initially), are all on the right side of the car?

Why continue this. The commie bitch got her 15 minutes while causing the death of what was apparently a good man. If she hadn't gone to Iraq looking for trouble the man would be alive. That's the whole story in a nutshell.

You may not be awar of it but Sylvia haa been on the UN payroll as a consultant/PR person for the last several years. Not sure of the term but started when Bill was Pres. She has a strong anti-America bias.

V, you veer startlingly close to the question that's being stepped over about the reason Italy is raising such a ruckus over this event. The reason "they all are conspiring to defeat the United States" - setting aside the bizarre part about "it's sacred task of getting rid of all those who disagree with America's point of vue" - is because certain voices in Europe won't be happy until the US capitulates to the
International Criminal Court. Unfortunately, they show no good reason for us doing so.
