This outrageous incident has underlined what was already known to many - U.S. checkpoints or convoys should be avoided.

Giuliana Sgrena's capture was staged. Her and the driver were attempting to commit suicide and become martyrs. Unfortunately she survived, but the truth will be coming out.

She blatantly stated that all Americans were war hungry, or something of the such. She's obviously never been outside of her own leftist liberal circles. I feel sorry for her. She'll never know anything beyond what she wants to see and hear. Every single soldier, American or not, is making a personal sacrifice by being there. They're leaving family and friends behind to ensure the safety and freedom of the Iraqi's as best as they possibly can. People like this reporter overshadow the heroes, so they're never known... The sarcrifices they make are never known. I'm fed up with our soldiers getting the ass-end of every news report for following orders.
