According to a an unverified statement on an Islamist website, Al Qaeda in Iraq takes responsibility for the triple bomb attacks on Amman hotels.
The statement was signed by a spokesman for Al Qaeda in Iraq.
The admission comes as no surprise since al Qaeda was suspected from the very beginning. That said, it is odd that many hours transpired before they claimed responsibility.

Yeah it takes "lions" of great courage to attack a heavily fortified wedding reception guarded by hordes of inebriated, dancing senior citizens and young children, not to mention the tower cake booby traps. In Islam courage is definitely graded on a very low curve.

Please provide me with the website url that you continue to site in your news stories about al qaeda. You and many other news sources cite "an Islamic website that acts as a clearing house for statements by militant groups" and yet you never publish the url. Please be responsible and provide the url. It is quite ridiculous not to publish the website url every single time something happens. Please allow the readers to decide for themselves.
