Beslan Terrorist's Mother Banished from Village
Mosnews:
A peopleÂ’s gathering in the village of Elkhotovo in the Russian internal republic of North Ossetia, has ruled that Aleksandra Samoshkina, the mother of Vladimir Khodov, must leave the village where she lives as well as the republic, the Itar-Tass news agency reports.
Russian media reported earlier that Vladimir Khodov had been among the gunmen who held children and parents hostage in the town of Beslan in early September.
Aleksandra Samoshkina moved to North Ossetia from the Russian city of Voronezh in 1979 after marrying local resident Anatoly Khodov. Her son Vladimir was put on the wanted list in 1998 after being accused of rape in nearby Krasnodar Region. In February 2004 Vladimir Khodov was charged with taking part in a terrorist attack in North OssetiaÂ’s capital of Vladikavkaz.
After the end of the Beslan hostage crisis, some Russian media reported that Khodov was among the gunmen who had seized the school.

Banishment, while a favorite of mine; sadly wouldn't get past the dreaded
ACLU Test in these Untied States...let alone any
Global Test that would be applied. ...
:: shrug :: ...
One and one half cheers for
North Ossetia!

Do you suppose - after the election - we could banish all the democrats to France or Canada?

HA Walter, I'm with you but send em to France, Canada is too close. Canada should also be very careful because they are part of this continent and Al Qaida keeps saying "will be coming to North America soon." Idiots.
I'm not sure the mother should have been banished. She may have raised the guy but that doesn't mean she instilled in him this barbaric savagery these people deploy on a minute to minute basis. Once they reach a certain age, no matter what, the only person responsible is the person itself, not his mother. His mother should not be to blame for something he consciously did with his own free will. She didn't do it, her husband didn't do it - her kid did and he's an adult - saw the pictures - why should she suffer because her son made a wrong choice? Hell my kids make the wrong choices all the time but that's not the way I brought them up - it's who they hang with that does not help in that regard. Sorry but I don't think Mom should be to blame.

To continue, I feel sorry for her; she has to live with the shame of what her son did and that's hard enough. Banishing her from the village and tossing her out of her home only shows several things - women are nothing and can be tossed away without a thought. Human rights does not come into play at all. Banishing her is not going to change what happened and I'm sure she was just as sick about it as everyone else in the world was, but to throw her out of her home because of what her adult son with free will did? No, that's wrong but then women are nothing in that peace-loving religion, so they might have just as well shot her at the same time instead; banishment is no different than an exiled life. Where does she go? Where does she live? It's not her fault; she could have had grandchildren in that school and they'd probably still banish her because of what her son did - not her. Wrong.
