Bush Speech - Calling A Spade A Spork

President BushLast night, President Bush tightroped his words outlining a plan for securing the U.S-Mexico border. In essence, the U.S. won't build a fence, and they will come. Two key elements struck me.

One is that the border will not be secured. Instead, the U.S. will allocate resources for the National Guard to assist the Border Patrol to monitor and document trespassers better. With better surveillance using high-technology devices, more illegal aliens will be caught, and more will be sent back. Unfortunately, the plan doesn't stop people from sneaking into the U.S., it only catches more of them after they have entered. So, rather than fixing the leaky boat, we're just going to employ more bailers.

Secondly, it appears that President Bush has gone to school and learned a technique from the mainstream media. The MSM frequently alters the English language to promote their political agenda and have flooded the public with such terminology as "undocumented workers" versus "illegal aliens" and "militants" versus "terrorists." Now, President Bush proposes to pardon millions of illegal aliens and implement a citizenship program and somehow not call it "amnesty." Instead, it's "rational middle ground." Despite President Bush mouthing "rational middle ground," I suspect that millions of people south of the border heard "amnesty." They are likely packing now.

Yes, the stuck bops with President Bush and he has boldly called a spade a spork.

2 My liberal President has obviously bought into the "big lie" social psychology theory. In essence if you tell a lie over and over people will soon believe it is true. This is the umpteenth time he has told us his amnesty plan for criminals is not an amnesty plan in the last 7 weeks. He is still telling us a lie and few of us are thinking his lie is true. What he is doing is driving the Reagan people out of the GOP much like his father did 15 years ago. Bush's still have not got over losing the primary to a conservative in 1980. BTW a a full disclosure I think little of Social Psychologists. I am biased.

3 Here is what I heard. If someone invades your home, eats your food, and demands title to the property since his ancestors lived there once; you roll over and give it to them. I also heard loud and clear that we are really NOT at war with terrorists. If we were then militarizing the southern border regions would be a no brainer.

4 The government believes that Mexicans have a right to live in America, but Jews are forbidden to live in most of their holyland. We will all suffer a cruel fate for this.

5 And to think that I voted for this left winger in 04! Well actually JFK would not have been any better; but I am no longer so sure. Bush tells one lie after another. I no longer trust him on anything!

6 GWB context: voted for him twice. family context: My extended fam includes all the major food groups and "races", Heinz iow. Back when Reagan & Congress squished on the first 6 mil [+ -] my blood temp started to rise... I was so POed I wrote way way poorly written essays [but sincere as f'ing hell] and sent them to my extended family and newspapers all over the world. [fam thought I was totally wac] The writers in my clan btw, enjoyed them immensely and are still getting extended mileage out of them today. W plan item: How are they gonna do background checks of all the illegal applicators for "DA CARD"? Mexican records and docs? Finger print records for previous bust records here in the states? prediction: After the f'ing Senate gets done squishing the squishy W plan and after the F'ing lawyers sue the livin salsa out of the result, the Illegal Immigration Burrito Machine will still be farting up a storm. que the blood is now f'ing boiling pic, chup mi pendejos

9 Also, this whole reconquista idea that Mexicans have rights to California because we stole California from Mexico does not hold up. In 1840 (when we won the war which gave us California) California looked alot like Mexico. Barren. So even if you think we "stole" California - the California of today - the industry, jobs, schools, hospitals etc. did not exist back then - and this is what the Mexicans want - not more barren land.

10 I think it's almost time for the Democrats, and the MSM to declare victory -- after all they have taken two issues, and applied so much spin to it most conservatives think that not voting in the next election will "punish" the Republican party. I see a lot of "news" about open borders without any data backing up the claim that Bush's term has an influx of illegal immigrants, they publish costs per state for illegal immigrants [unadjusted for inflation, and without comparison of previous years] so now two issues that have non-stop negative press in the MSM (Gas prices, and Mexican border) have rose to such a crescendo that Conservatives are turning in on themselves, with infighting that the Democrats are famous for. The Democrats have neatly packaged security + borders (Wasn't the last arrested Terrorist coming in through Canada?) and the MSM have pitched it for over a year now, I have seen nonstop talk of punishing the Republicans by not voting, or voting Democrat in the next Election, what a great victory for the MSM/Democrats.

11 >>>because we stole California from Mexico And the Mexicans stole it from the prior owners, so it's one thief judging another thief.

12 Please get rid of the asshole. Take a course on character judgement before the next Presidential election.

Posted by: Last gasp Larry at May 16, 2006 11:17 AM (FCC6c)

13 Larry, character isn't the issue, choice is. And in this case the choice is between a conservative-lite Republican vs a socialist Democrat. The choice is pretty clear.

14 Everyone note ... Larry (like others like him) is an anti-Bush lib/left Dem - you all know where they stand (or wiggle/wobble) reference the immigration thing ... Totally expect them to jump into this as against ... its a tomato/tomatoe kind of thing ... nothing else ... he is irrelevant.

Posted by: hondo at May 16, 2006 12:32 PM (SeBrl)

15 Boy, you got that right, Hondo. I can only imagine LGL bouncing in his chair and clapping his hands with glee everytime someone says they disagree with Bush on anything. If you ever had an opportunity to read his swill on Kevin Sites' blog, sometimes times as many as five and six comments in a row, blathering on about McChimpybushhitler. It's really quite impressive - in a rubbernecker-staring-at-a-car-wreck kinda way.

16 Yep! Oyster, I'm just waiting for you to join the ranks of the 71% remaining who are blessed with good judgement so we can have our last laugh together. However, I know you will hang on to the bitter end in the face of defeat because that is what thick people do... Jesus! If you want to vote in an idiot just to avoid a Democratic there's not much I can do beyond giving Katherine Harris a call.

Posted by: Last gasp Larry at May 16, 2006 01:31 PM (FCC6c)

17 71% and 2 dollars will get you on the NY subway - ask john ryan what that means. Only "poll" that counts is taken on the first Tueday of November '06/'08 ... see you there. Oh - at the moment I am part of that 71% (don't have an orgasm yet) ... you seem to believe that if 71% of the people have disappointments or complaints about Bush ... then they must automatically agree with you ..... now that's funny! ... and one of the big reasons why you continually come up short ... you actually believe your own BS.

Posted by: hondo at May 16, 2006 01:49 PM (SeBrl)

18 Hey guys, the socialists just called. They want to thank the Republicans for voting their way in '04.

Posted by: MiB at May 16, 2006 02:15 PM (Uesws)

19 Another classic example.

Posted by: hondo at May 16, 2006 02:22 PM (SeBrl)

20 That Bush is a feelgood socialist and you guys thought he would be significantly different from Kerry? Yes, it is.

Posted by: MiB at May 16, 2006 03:12 PM (Uesws)

21 He is not a socalist, he is a CFR member, and their agenda is 10 economic regions across the globe. This last nation state must be weakened for that to happen. We are being attacked on many fronts. Debt ceiling is at 9 trillion dollers, the Federal Resurve controls the money, not Congress, and the Federal Reserve does not answer to anyone but themselves. Child sacrifice, (abortion), same sex marraige, child sex, Christianity as hate speech, untaxed income going south to the tune of 70 billion a year, welfare programs increasing, Hospitals closing due to unpaid illegal alien ER vists, the U.N. etc... It smells like a conspiracy to me. But, this is just one man writing.

23 >>>Oyster, I'm just waiting for you to join the ranks of the 71% remaining who are blessed with good judgement so we can have our last laugh together. Larry, I wouldn't put too much Liberal stock in those numbers. They primarily reflect the fact that Bush's conservative base is leaving him BECAUSE HE ISN'T CONSERVATIVE ENOUGH. That should give him kudos in your Liberal book---but it doesn't because bushitler hatred knows no rhyme nor reason. If bushitler hatred made any sense, our reasons for disliking Bush should be your reasons for liking him...if bushitler hatred made any sense.

24 >>>Jesus! If you want to vote in an idiot just to avoid a Democratic there's not much I can do beyond giving Katherine Harris a call. Larry, that one's easy. I would vote for an idiot, a retard, and even a box of rocks before I'd vote for a Liberal. That goes without saying.
