Canadian Paper Sued Over Muhammed Cartoons
For
F*cking fascists, they sure are a bunch of
whiney bitches.
FYI-our good friend Kate from Small Dead Animals writes for the Western Standard, so were more than just supportive on the principle of the matter.

They are passing the hat
if you want to give. Just to defend themselves for a right, believe it or not, Canadians do not have, to free speech - it is going to cost them $75,000.

Terrorist Caught Fleeing Canada
Okay, so the Mexican border is a problem. But who's watching the one up North?
CANOE:
An alleged terrorist -- with links to al-Qaida and Osama bin Laden -- has been arrested in the GTA while trying to flee the country, Sun Media immigration sources say.
In one of the most significant terrorism arrests in Canada since 9/11, a man believed to be a captain of the Pakistani extremist organization Mujahedin-E-Lashkar-E-Tayyba, or LET, which is funded by Osama bin Laden and has direct ties to al-Qaida, was arrested March 16 by Canadian border service officers in Newmarket.
Intelligence sources say members of LET have been trained in Afghan terrorist camps.
Ontario immigration sources say 40-year-old Raja Ghulam Mustafa, a Pakistani national who went by the last name Murtaza, was arrested outside his home with a packed suitcase and a significant amount of cash on him.

Well, from this I would hope Canada is watching out up north. It is frustrating, however, that information of this arrest got to the media so quickly. I would have thought the security services would have wanted to get everything they could from the guy's laptop before his buddies had time to run.

Good point, Flea, and one wonders whether some in law enforcement might be sympathetic towards the terrorists. Or someone is, that's for sure.

it has become commonplace to badmouth any kind of authority at any and every opportunity, but how on earth do you get to "law enforcement might be sympathetic"? it is conceivable that some agencies go overboard and some likely welcome the reflected increases in their budgets I suppose, but even that stops short of sympathy I think

I said some, not law enforcement as a whole. Geez, give me a break, and at least read my post before flaming me.

Flying Seal Guts
(Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island) The hunting of cute and fuzzy harp seal pups in the Gulf of St. Lawrence commenced on Saturday with a meddlesome crowd of animal rights activists and media providing interference.
From TheChronicleHerald.ca:
Protesters had to dodge flying seal guts pitched at them by angry hunters Saturday as tempers flared on the first day of Canada's East Coast seal slaughter.
News reporters and animal rights activists tried to get as close as permitted to the hunt on the Gulf of St. Lawrence, but their presence infuriated sealers as they hunted for scarce animals on small, drifting ice pans.
At one point, a sealing vessel charged up to a small Zodiac inflatable boat carrying reporters and protesters, and a sealer flung seal intestines into the midst of the observers.
Eeeeww! Being slathered with seal guts has to be particularly unpleasant.

sure, the protesters are there for what, four days a year? I'm sure they're concerned about the cuddly seals, how about they volunteer to be there all year round, and feed the over-populated seals, so they don't have to kill them.

The animal rights wackos are pesks where ever they go and espeialy those jerks from GREEPEACE i have heard cases in which GREEPEACE have gotten the crap kicked outta them and frankly i would like to see one of them get real close to a little seal and get their noses bit off

Maybe if they gave all seals abortions! Thats okay way to kill them right. If you abort the fetus prior to birth then it isn't a seal yet, right?
