Cheese Eating Tenure Monekeys
As I
predicted yesterday, celebrations of Jerry Lewis' birthday turned violent in France as students turned out en masse. Okay, the riots were unrelated to Jerry Lewis' 80th birthday, but I did predict riots in France! That's got to count for something.
Then again, predicting riots in France is a lot like predicting it will be hot in Las Vegas.
Whiney French students (redundant--I know) took to the streets to protest a change in French law which would make it legal to fire new employees up to two years after they begin. Oh the inhumanity of it all! Imagine, employees at Paris shops might actually have to pay attention to their customers.

I think the French are over-reacting or over-compensating for what has been bad policy all along. They go from "You can't fire anyone ever with out getting sued" to "You can fire anyone you want for up to two years"?
There is "reason" somewhere in between these two extremes. In Florida we have 90 days to determine if someone is suitable for their job and we can let them go even for something minor like they just don't play well with others. Three months should be ample time to determine an employee's suitability. At least, in my business it's enough time. Maybe a bit longer for others. After that, we need a good reason. Two years is extreme.

The Muslim community will be providing the 'candles' on Mr Lewis's cake by an impromptu burning of eighty infidels Peugeots.
The French response to this will be swift, immediate calls for understanding, followed by explanations of how their fellow citizens are really just wanting better jobs, and are railing against the French getto's, followed by an extra $20.00 in their welfare checks.

First you go for Scott Baio, now you're on Jerry Lewis? Have you no shame?

Anti-Semitism, Scott Baio Worship, On the Rise in France (Updated)
It never surprises me to hear that Muslims in France--or anywhere--are violently antisemitic. What does shock me is that activists protesting the rise of antisemitism have adopted
Scott Baio as their leader. I would have thought Jerry Lewis would have been the natural choice. Or maybe David Hasselhoff......
Update: Et tous Sweden?

Many French Jews are emigrating to Israel. When Israel is safer than France, France is in trouble.

Muslims kill Jews.....wow, what a shocking development, especially since all summer long the mainstream media told us that the problem in France was bigotry against these same Muslims...
So now the media is forced to once in a blue moon admit that their so-called victims are actually the abusers.
There is only one solution to the muslim problem, and that is for us to 'minimize' their numbers...the sooner the better, and while we are at it, blow up the Kabbah, and excuse me while I take a piss on the Koran I got in the mail from CAIR today.

Sorry to be having a humor-failure here, Rusty. But the fellow who looks like Scott Baio is Ilan Halimi. Though it is true he looked a lot like Baio before he was kidnapped, tortured, set on fire and left to die.
