13 Being a liberal is easy. Most of us were liberal when we were younger. I was. I snapped out of it before I even reached my twenties when life dealt me a few blows early on. When you're young and idealistic that peaceful world where everyone shares and no one has a harsh thought is still possible to you. You don't understand, just emerging from under your parent's wings, that not everyone is interested in letting you go about your life, blissfully unaware of evil. Once you get knocked around a bit, you have two choices 1) complain or 2) act. Complaining just got me more of the same.

15 I'm glad to say that not all libs are utterly hopeless, as I manage to make at least one or two converts a month down at the pub, where I hold court, regularly dispensing wisdom and wit in proper measure, in accord with the appetite of those who hunger. The most unfortunate thing about most of the libs I meet is that though they are naturally skeptical people who are curious about life and mistrusting of orthodoxy, (which in and of itself is a healthy attitude), they are easily misled. This is because, due to their youth and inexperience, they are willing to accept an idea if it makes sufficient appeal to their emotions, without proper regard for objective reason, and so are lead down the primrose path by those who do not offer a true alternative based on reason and logic balanced by compassion and humanity, but rather another stale orthodoxy which has been well-disproven time and again, yet which refuses to die. There's nothing wrong with being liberal, per se, but there's plenty wrong with the orthodoxy of Liberalism , which brooks no dissent and thus allows no objective, rational discourse on subjects relevant to the base ideology of the orthodoxy. And, as we should all know, orthodoxy is the death of progress, because it kills genius and prevents change. And so, I fight the good fight one or two nights a week, opening eyes and awakening minds, teaching people how to think for themselves, which inevitably leads to enlightenment, and away from Leftism.
